Intersur Recoleta

While visiting Buenos Aires, I stayed three times at this charming hotel. Each time the allocated room was comfortable and clean, with great beds and bedding. Breakfast was in a dining room accessed by a separate lift on ground floor level. A buffet breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold food, fresh fruit, pastries and juices. The dining area is in two sections and had small or larger tables. I didn't dine at Marcello's, the inhouse restaurant and chose room service instead. The QR code didnt work so I went to reception for assistance. The limited menu isn't extensive, but they can provide food from the restaurant if you prefer. I chose a chicken Caesar salad and ice cream. The salad was tasty but a bit salty. The serving was huge - too much for a single diner so I reluctantly left a lot uneaten. The ice-cream serves were delicious but also huge - I could only eat half of it. Reception staff were always helpful and courteous. Great location - walking distance to Recoleta Cemetery, the Yellow Bus stop and Vassilisa chocolate shop. A safe hotel in a safe location and easy for tour pickup. Busy street location but rooms were quiet. Would stay here again.

Really good location in recoleta, good restaurants and bars around! Has a decent little gym and breakfast was good. The italian restaurant downstairs is also pretty good. but hotel itself is kind of old and you can pretty much hear everything inside the room. The cleaning crew was outside my room door every morning chatting loudly - woke me up every morning.

Wonderful hotel near many sites of Buenos Aires. The staff was exceptional and friendly. The room was large and comfortable, the shower drained a little slow but was manageable. It has A/C and that was appreciated this time of year. The area is nice with plenty of shopping and restaurants near by.

Interesting hotel with older style look. Staff in the reception is great, while the breakfast team is not as accessible. The rooms have sitting area for working so are good. The bathrooms would benefit from an upgrade in style . The location is good and in a safe area . For breakfast gluten free options are few so for celiac would advise to go to a different place for meals / breakfast. Non celiac options have good variety. It was the first time where the staff wanted to charge extra for a pair of fried eggs versus the regular revueltos.

The Recoleta area is an excellent location. Whilst from a street view the Intersur appears to be quite pleasant, once in the foyer, I felt that it needed a make-over. We stayed twice firstly in a standard room and a suite on the next visit. Unlike other reviews, we were not troubled by noise but we did experience the heat of the rooms and the flooding of the bathrooms. Cleanliness was average.

A comfortable 4 star hotel in the heart of the Recoleta district. Rooms are large with wood floors & with a big comfortable bed. Pillows are a bit small & soft. Decor is a rather bland. ||There is airconditioning as well as windows that open. ||The bathroom has a shower / bath combination with good hot water supply. There are only the bare necessaries of amenities. Bottled water you have to pay for. ||There is a TV but only Spanish speaking stations. Wifi throughout the hotel is adequate. ||Breakfast was included. The selection is adequate but nothing special. There is fruit, a small selection of cereals, scrambled & boiled eggs, pancakes & various pastries. ||Rooms are very clean and looks well maintained.

Beautiful hotel though a little worn on some edges. Thick bath towels. Great comfy bed. Wonderful front desk staff and great housekeeping. Good breakfast as well with beautiful variety of hot and cold items. Fresh fruit. Exercise room tiny. And rooftop or elsewhere in hotel could use a nighttime bar.

Pleasantly surprised. Great location. Small gym they claim a spa...no such thing. spa services can be arranged outside hotel though. Room is dated and bathroom is small for a 6' or taller. But all in all it surpassed expectations. Staff was very nice and price per night was not bad. It has an Italian restaurant suposed to be great. I did not try it as there are plenty of options walking distance. This is a nice area in Buenos Aires, so we wandered around to eat at other places. Good value all in all.

I stayed at this hotel for four nights during a vacation to South America earlier this month. Buenos Aires is a beautiful city and I enjoyed my stay at the Intersur Recoleta. As you can tell by the name, the hotel is located in the Recoleta district which is a nicer part of Buenos Aires. It's close to several tourist attractions like the Recoleta Cemetary and within walking distance of the "Steel Flower". It's moderately priced and there's a great Italian restaurant on the main floor/lobby. The room I stayed in had a comfortable king-sized bed and was furnished with basics such as a desk, chair, and flat screen tv. The breakfast provided by the hotel was a little sub-par, but the complimentary Wi-Fi worked great. Other trendy districts like Palermo, Puerto Madero, and San Telmo were just a short cab ride away.

There is a restaurant there named Marcelo. We had a very bad experience. We ordered a filet mignon and actually pointed to the plate of an adjacent patron. They brought us another steak. When we asked for the correct order the waiter was rude and had a fit. The food was very plain and overpriced. Stay away.
