Cool place. The location is brilliant - the views are wonderful. The standard of the cottages is very good. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils, cutlery, fridge, coffee maker. The bathroom and toilet are clean and well-kept. The living room is spacious with a beautiful view. We were there in March so the weather was more winter-like - it was warm and pleasant inside. You have to remember to bring your own coffee and tea or use the restaurant. We slept in a cottage with four rooms, each room was for two people. The rooms were ok, small, basically just for sleeping:) I recommend!

The place to stay when in Nuuk!!! Basic rooms (3 in one house) with a kitchen and clean bathroom. But the main reason why I chose this location is the ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL AND STUNNING SETTING!!! Within walking distance (30min) to Nuuk center or bus station 5min away (20DKK single ride). Brunch @ weekend. Sunset & sunrise can be seen from this place!! UNIQUE

Touched down in Nuuk and headed straight to Inuk Hostels—a cluster of wooden cabins perched above the bay with killer fjord views. My cabin had a cozy kitchenette, shared bathroom, and a warm common room with board games and Netflix. Simple, clean, and filled with that “home in the Arctic” charm. The attached Café Inuk serves reindeer burgers, musk‑ox dishes, and strong Greenlandic coffee—all best enjoyed while watching seals or whales drift by. They also host storytelling evenings that dip you into Inuit legends and culture.

Spending Christmas at the Aurora Hut of Inuk Hostel was nothing short of extraordinary. I couldn’t have chosen a more special place to celebrate the holiday season. Despite the biting cold of Greenland, the Aurora Hut was incredibly warm and cozy, offering every modern convenience—WiFi, Bluetooth, power sockets, and a compact but functional toilet. The design is both practical and inviting, making it a perfect retreat.||||The owner, Gerth, made my stay even more memorable by personally showing me to my room. The warm welcome and thoughtful touches, like the Christmas decoration, added an extra layer of charm and friendliness to the experience. Despite it being Christmas, Gerth arranged for me to have breakfast every day, which just proves his exceptional hospitality. The Filipino crew at the reception were equally delightful—friendly, helpful, and always smiling.||||The highlight of my stay was witnessing the aurora borealis not once, but twice, from the comfort of my very own room. The transparent ceiling allowed me to marvel at this natural wonder without even stepping outside. It was pure magic, and truly one of the most unforgettable experiences I’ve ever had in a hotel.||||If you’re looking for a unique, cozy, and truly special place to stay in Greenland, the Inuk Hostel Aurora Hut is an absolute must. I will treasure this magical Christmas forever.

This review is for the AURORA HUT (aka GLASS IGLOO) that on the property of Inuk Hostels. Our stay at the Aurora Hut (aka Glass Igloo) that we booked through Inuk Travel was absolutely amazing. We were so happy to have been there and get to enjoy this magical country, looking out to the ice fjord while staying inside a warm comfy bed. Gerth Poulsen the owner was great. He is very thorough. We even paid for the 90 minutes jacuzzi time which was a MUST DO!!! The cafeteria/restaurant on site serve really good food! Super tasty! I even tried the Greenlandic delicacies sampler plate with narwhal, shrimp and dry fish. I even get to meet the biggest YouTube/Instagram content creator from Greenland, her name is Q from Greenland! She came to say hello! I felt so honored and overwhelmed!! We highly recommend this place! Thank you Gerth!

I only visited the grounds and ate brunch at the Inuk cafe. The location is secluded and has a gorgeous view of the fjord and the Saddle Mountain. The cafe is lovely with picturesque windows and a big meeting room. Every time I have visited it is doing a good business. This is obvious from the great selection of buffet items and the fresh quality. The smoked halibut was amazingly fresh and delicious. It was great to have some salads and fresh fruit. The internet was included and had good speed.

Although this hostel is a perfect spot for observing northern lights (on pictures), there are few issues that have to be addressed.|When I have arrived, there was no one at reception. Thankfully there was someone from their team fixing things around and called the receptionist. Upon her arrival, she mentioned she has sent me mail with details how to access my cabin key. When that mail was sent, I didn’t have access to internet. The hostel staff should consider tourists don’t necessary have local phones, so in case the reception is closed, all required information should been sent well in advance.|There are no grocery stores nearby and when I arrived, the on-site restaurant was closed. Before your arrival, I suggest to check when they don’t operate, so in case you scan buy food before you reach Nuuk.|On my last day, there was no water in my cabin. I have informed the hostel staff, but unfortunately nothing has happened. This is not good enough. When I was checking out the next day, I was apologised for it and was offered free coffee and dessert for the inconvenience.|Overall, if those issues didn’t take place, it would be a good stay. The cabin was of a good size, with fully equipped kitchen. The rooms (4 in my cabin) where not big, but were good enough. The cabin was fairly clean when I arrived.|A nice touch, especially during colder months, would be for the hostel staff to turn the heating on before planned arrival.
