Fairly nice stay if you're going to have a trip for less than a week and plan to stay out for the most part. Location is near city centre, quick walk from the bus/train station. They have a nice kitchen, okay shared rooms and bathrooms. The shower rooms are hard to operate since there is not enough space to put your clothes, towel, etc. I did not get the breakfast but it looked sad. Standard for a cheap student hostel. Check-in and check-out timings are inconvenient. The service is okay-ish. Most of the staff are nice. They almost never pick up the phone, and one of the main staff has a negative attitude.

We (4 friends) lived in a room with 3 bunk beds. The room was cold, and sooo humid. Woke up in the middle of the night and everything was almost wet. The sheets they provided didn’t feel very clean, or they felt like they’d been used and washed a million times. They were not white either, so you couldn’t see if they were dirty or not. No privacy curtains for the beds, and rooms were very small. The downstairs common area was very warm, and the furniture looked and felt like it had been there for decades. The showers did not feel very clean, and was difficult to operate since there was very little place to put your dry stuff (towel and clothes). The toilets were only stalls, so no privacy there. The hostel provided breakfast for £3,5 but even though it was cheap I still wouldn’t say you really got your moneys worth. There were orange juice (the cheapest kind), instant coffee, tea, cereals, white toast (no butter), and a few fruits. You’re better off buying something in tesco. The place was close to the city center though, and did provide free parking which was nice. Would overall recommend you stay somewhere else.

I recently stayed at this hostel, and it was a huge disappointment. The only positive aspects were the central location and the availability of a parking lot. Beyond that, everything else was extremely disappointing, especially considering the price. First, the rooms are incredibly small and cramped. The beds are so close together that you can practically feel your neighbor breathing (snoring and farting too). There's absolutely no privacy—no curtains or dividers—so you're basically sleeping in a crowded dorm. Speaking of beds, the mattresses are thin to the point where you can feel the metal frame underneath, making it nearly impossible to get a decent night's sleep. The toilets are equally tiny and uncomfortable to use. As for the breakfast, it's grossly overpriced and far from hygienic. They have jars of marmalade sitting out, opened and clearly used by multiple guests which is quite concerning. In short, this hostel might have a good location, but that’s about it. The poor facilities, lack of privacy, uncomfortable beds, and questionable hygiene make it a terrible value for the price. I would not recommend staying here.

I booked at Inverness Student hotel during one organized tour throughout the Highland as I only stayed in Inverness for one night. Let’s get straight to the point : the pros are indubitably the very central location of the place (5 min to walk from the city centre) and the really cheap prices. Don’t expect much further than that. The rooms are very small, the beds are extremely close to each other, making it difficult to have any sort of privacy and the 2 toilets / 2 showers just aren’t enough for all the residents. Didn’t have too much to do with the staff outside checking in but the girl at the reception was kind. If you are travelling on a budget, this is the way to go but if you have higher expectations consider going somewhere else.

Super Crammed rooms, only one outlet for entire room so we have to share. Heaters don’t work very well so room is always cold, I visited in October so cold weather . Kitchen was small , bathrooms were small and really crammed , only 3 showers and 2 bathrooms. This is supposed to be a budget hostel but for the price I feel like I should have gotten more.

One of the, if not THE, best hostel I’ve visited! Great location, even better layout and the best service. Lovely staff, who mostly consist of travelers themselves! Just tap them on the shoulder and they’ll be ready to start a lovely chat. Also amazing place to meet other people and do stuff together. For solo travelers, you may be alone, but you’re never lonely!

Nice hostel with comfy beds, free tea/coffee/jot chocolate all day. Staff is very kind and friendly to talk to. Toilets and showers are fewer than needed for a place this size and there was often a wait.

Great hostel in the center of Inverness! Lovely staff, clean, and super cozy. My partner and I had an amazing time there staying for two nights. All the facilities are really clean, and the kitchen is very well equipped. A great place if you’re looking for a cheap place to stay in for good quality.

Yelp
Decent place to sleep in Inverness. It's centrally located near the train and bus stations, pubs, shops, restaurants, Inverness Castle. Home-like common rooms where you can easily meet others with free coffee and tea with milk included! Two pillows are included on each bed. Great for people like me who think regular hostel pillows are too flat. Booking the hostel involved extra legwork as Hostelworld and the hostel's website didn't show any available beds, but Hostelbookers showed an available bed. Probably best to call the hostel about availability. A £10 key deposit or photo ID is required. Best to leave an ID that is NOT your passport. There's a weird curfew where the front door is locked outside the hours of 7am to 2:30am. As for the negatives...the 10-bed mixed dorm room was too small. There was no underbed storage space. When everyone has their backpacks down and their crap spread out, it left very little floor space. Only one power strip in the room which was always filled with phones needing charging. No lockers in the room. You can store your valuables with the reception desk. However when I tried to retrieve something after midnight, the person on duty didn't have the key so I had to wait in the morning to get it back. Only two toilets on the floor. And one of them wasn't in service due to no one removing the painting equipment inside. The kitchen was crowded around dinner times. When the hostel is fully booked, as it was when I was there, the kitchen is just too small to handle the capacity. Overall, I would've enjoyed the hostel more if it weren't fully booked.

Yelp
Excellent customer service, safe place, clean facilities, comfortable rooms, well-stocked kitchen, and tours available. The place is not as pristine as shown, but comfy and lived in. The front desk staff were polite and accommodating to walk-ins (unlike the hostel next door). Excellent customer service, safe place, clean facilities, . Provided us with a handy, dandy map with suggestions. I stayed in a women's room with 6 beds the first night, which was tidy though the pillow was clumpy and uncomfortable. The second night in the mixed room was much better, comfortable bed and pillow. They have sheet pouches instead of bedsheets which was very different than other hostel bed. On the down side, like most hostels/hotels, I don't believe they wash their duvet covers after each use.

Yelp
Popped in here because my travel companions told me staying at a hostel was "part of the travel experience." I'm an adult with a job, why not find a hotel? Nope. Part of the experience. Okay, here we go. The hostel is quite clean, and endeavors to keep it that way. There is a modest kitchen with most of the amenities, free WiFi, an available breakfast, a helpful staff, and options for longer lodging if you need it. There is also a laundry service available for a modest fee. In addition to a knowledgable staff, there are also several maps, booklets for tourism, and pamphlets for attractions available in several languages. One note: There is limited parking. If you are driving in to see Inverness, you may want to call ahead.
