Inverness Youth Hostel

I stayed there for one night and trust me when I tell you the underground is cleaner and better to spend the night. The rooms were so small and they didn't even have a shower let along a socket to charge my phone . When we woke up we had to take the sheets of and the pillow cases . So not only did we pay them for this awful room but they couldn't even clean it ... The food did not taste like food more like plastic ... Advise for people who want to stay there the streets are more comfortable .

This hostel is ten minute walk to the city center so pretty great. The hostel itself is quite outdated and looks straight from the 70s on the inside but facilities were good. However we had a private room with two beds and there was only one outlet in the entire room, opposite of the beds. You could also hear everything from the hallways and the room adjacent.

Good hostel! I booked a single bed room, and had no issues. My floor was quiet at night, and the private bathroom is decent. The kitchen is really good, it's got everything you need and more. One tip is, if you're planning on buying food to make at the hotel, check the "leftovers" fridge and shelf first, as loads of guests tend to leave perfectly fine food in there when they check out

This is a very comfortable custom built Youth Hostel. They were very friendly and helpful. It was built in the 70's (guessing from the architecture) so the only problem I had was finding a power point to charge the phone. It is a bit of a walk from the centre and the station.

This hostel is clean throughout. I had a private single room with ensuite washroom. The bed was not the most comfortable but it was fine for the one night. The shared kitchen is well stocked and staff frequently check that it is clean.

While I generally enjoy SYHA hostels, this one is in need of some love. Specifically the rooms, ours had two plug sockets for 6 beds, just not enough in this age. The mattresses were also well aged, and the bedside lights did not work. The bathrooms would also benefit from a modernization, or at least someone to fix the extractor fans. Kitchen and common areas were all nice and staff were friendly. Bit of a walk from the station, maybe 10 minutes at a good pace.

Bus from airport stopped really near. Good nights sleep. Helpful desk. Clean and comfortable. Ordered a wee breakfast which set us up for the day! We often stay at youth hostels and can definately recommend this one.|Thank you for making the start of our holiday a pleasure.

Your classic YHA hostel. Really friendly staff, clean rooms, affordable, storage cupboards in your room, nightlights by your bed and clean showers and toilets. There was a fire alarm that went off during my stay and I would like to note how well both staff members dealt with it. They went round having a chat/joking with people, kept everyone informed and updated of how long we might be outside and what the next steps they’re taking would be.
