I had a craniosacral session with Katy and it was amazing. She was kind, calm and gentle. She explained each step along the way. The space was nice and comfortable. I was able to relax and feel safe. After my session my body was in a calm a state. I highly recommend coming here for a session. I also did a 60 minute massage with Katy and it was amazing. I recommend trying both craniosacral and the massage. 👍🏽👍🏽 Recently went to Selina for acupuncture and it was the best experience ever. I highly recommend her as well if you need acupuncture. The environment was calm and relaxing.

I highly recommend prenatal massage with Jean. I had the pleasure of experiencing it today, and I can honestly say it was one of the best massages I've ever had. The massage itself was incredibly soothing and relaxing. The therapist used gentle, flowing strokes and worked on all the areas that tend to carry tension during pregnancy, like my lower back, hips, and shoulders. I would highly recommend prenatal massage to any expectant mother looking for some much-needed self-care. It's an amazing way to soothe sore muscles, ease anxiety, and connect with your body and your baby. If you're looking for a skilled and caring massage therapist, this is the place to go!

I have had at least 3 massages with Katy and everything about the experience is excellent. The room is peaceful, quiet, light filled and has beautiful plants. The massages I have had are wonderful, I feel like Katy listens to me before we start about what I would like to work on and then also listens to my body during the process. I have felt a sense of healing for whatever was physically bothering me (mainly back and wrist pain). I always feel relaxed and rejuvenated after seeing Katy. I have had a lot of bodywork done all around the country and feel so lucky to have found Katy in my own neighborhood. I highly recommend Inwood Healing Arts.

Excellent customer service over the phone and in person. Very professional staff. Maria was the masseuse for my appointment and my co worker’s appointment. We both agreed it was the best massage we’ve ever received. Maria was awesome. The massage room was so cute and the environment was extremely relaxing. I recently had my first prenatal massage with Jean. The whole process from scheduling to receiving the massage went smoothly. At 36 weeks she was very attentive to my specific physical needs and easily made adjustments to accommodate them. The massage itself left me feeling looser, calmer and more relaxed than I have felt in months -- especially in the hips and shoulders. I will definitely return post delivery.

Katy is an amazing, attentive, knowledgeable massage therapist. If you tell her what areas of your body are bothering you (eg right upper back), she knows exactly what to do to help you feel better. The environment is also lovely, clean, and well maintained. Can't recommend more!

I went to Selina for acupuncture and it was the best experience ever. The environment was calming and relaxing. She did a thorough job and it made it very comfortable. I felt relaxed and light afterwards. Highly recommend her service.

I got a massage in 2022 in my first pregnancy and I rave about it all the time, so much so that I couldn't remember the name and I am pregnant again and searched to see if I could find it again- and just booked my prenatal massage. I was feeling so achy and swollen and after my massage I felt like a weight was lifted off my entire body. It was so relaxing and so soothing. Cant wait to go back.

I went in while I was 30 weeks pregnant. I was seen by Jean. The massage was nice and relaxing. I liked how the table has a hole in the middle to accommodate the pregnant belly so it allows you to lay straight down. After the back is done a pillow is placed behind you where you can sit up and lean back and the front of the body is worked on. The only con for me is the hole where you put your face through when you are belly down had a cloth covering to work as a mask. I understand the precautions for Covid but it took me a little while to breath without it feeling constricting or hard to breathe. Maybe being pregnant made it harder for me to adjust. I had to move my face sideways a couple of times to get some air but after a bit I was able to get used to it, breathe slowly, and enjoy the rest of the massage.

Got a 90 minute massage gift certificate for my wife and she says the massage was great. Definitely going back. Great to have a nice massage therapy place right in the neighborhood.

The first time a non-deep tissue has had just as effective results as a pain deep tissue. Awesome job

My boyfriend surprised me with a visit to Inwood Healing Arts, and it was exactly what I needed. I was seen by Katy, who is extremely professional and friendly. Katy was very stern about not accepting a tip, when we tried to give her extra money for the work she did. After introducing herself, I completed a form, that asks general questions (name, address, phone number, etc.) and about conditions a person may have (allergies, skin conditions, etc). Once that was completed, Katy asked about what brought me in that day, so she could know what to focus on. -- I sit at work all day, so my back was my issue. Katy focused mainly on my back, but still went through the rest of my body. She first did my entire back, then my arms and hands. After, she went to my legs and feet. Once she was done with the back of my body, I turned over and she did my collar area. I am not sure what type of lotion was used, but IT WAS MAGICAL; I need some of that for my own everyday use! When I walked out, I literally felt like I was on top of the world, walking on the clouds.

My BIL gave my husband and I gift certificates to Inwood Healing Arts for Christmas and I was so excited to finally get to use it!! I had a little trouble finding the place, not realizing it was in an office share building space, and having the man in the lobby tell me the wrong suite. So just leave yourself a little time to find the place! I was met by Katy who would be doing my massage. The room was cute, comforting, with lots of natural light. I was actually worried at first the room was too bright to be truly relaxing, but got over that as Soon as the massage started!! After the 90 min massage I feel great!!! I would definitely go back in a heart beat!!

Got a prenatal massage with Jean. Massage was effective and relaxing. I was having a right sided headache continuously as well as right hip pain. She did a fantastic job at getting the tension out of my neck. She also found the source of my hip/buttock pain and told me how to stretch at home. Highly recommended place.

I want to add my rave review of Inwood Healing Arts. Katy is thoughtful, kind, and an incredible massage practitioner. The space is lovely and relaxing and I felt very comfortable with the COVID precautions in place. I will be back again and again I anticipate.

My boyfriend works with his hands for a living and has had tendonitis in his elbow & nerve entrapment in his shoulder. He's tried different types of remedies and decided to give Inwood Healing Arts a try, based on the Yelp reviews & website describing the type of work they do. Katy focused on his shoulders, elbow and hands and he feels it was very effective, and he'll definitely return. P.S. I'm writing this review b/c he's not on Yelp or other social media channels.

I booked a massage here after finishing up a ton of exams and interviews. it was a lovely relaxing environment and in an interesting space with various local businesses. I appreciated the view and atmosphere this space had as well as the attentiveness of the masseuse. easy to schedule and definitely very relaxing!

Best massage ever. My back and shoulders feel so much better! Jean did a wonderful job at focusing on the areas around my back I told her I felt pain or aches in all the time. I walked out of there feeling like all the knots in my back we out finally. I will definitely be back

For taking care of a friends apartment for several months, we were gifted a few massages at Inwood Healing Arts. I can't think of a more considerate gift! Jean took great care of me, paying special attention to my right knee, which is recovering from a recent surgery. The room was bright and spotless, and smelled fresh and clean. Making an appointment was easy, as was finding the place, but the intercom system was broken both times we went. A really exceptional experience, which I hope to repeat soon!

Happy to echo the other reviewers - Jean was amazing! The massage I had today was better than the top spas I've visited in NYC. She listened to my concerns and then remedied my tight muscles better than anyone else I've ever has a session with. It was easily the best massage of my life. This is a business worth traveling to from other parts of the city and if you live in the neighborhood you must go!

I am so happy I found Inwood Healing Arts. I am from the West Coast - and I have been searching for a relaxing massage experience for about a year. I have been on the east side, down town, everywhere - and I just had reached a place where I was going to accept my expectations may have to adjust - when I saw a flyer in my local coffee place - Darling Coffee - and I thought - ok - let's try it. Katy was very sincere - she gave a very healing massage - in a very calm, quiet, clean studio (NY you know what I mean) - and I actually fell asleep. This place is a gem! A+!

I had a deeper tissue massage with Jean for a very uncomfortable lower back situation from too much lifting, pushing, carrying, etc. My massage felt spot-on and as I walked home I noticed that everything felt a lot looser already. The next day most of the pain and discomfort were totally gone. Amazing. I recommend IHA to everyone!

Simply the best massage I have had in ages! Jean is just fabulous! The location is easy to find, in a safe area and well worth it! I've been having lower back pain and neck and shoulder aches because of stress. Jean worked my muscles perfectly! I tend to like a heavier pressure and she was AMAZING! IHA is wonderful. I just had my second massage with Katy, and she is excellent. I struggle with shoulder tightness, but Katy is able to provide me with some long lasting relief. Jean is amazing, a real healer. I usually like a really strong/ digging massage, but it wasn't necessary because I could feel all negative things being pushed out of my body strategically. At one point I was thinking I was on a cloud and all the drainage was raining down after it left my body...this is coming from someone who usually has a hard time relaxing. I felt light and very positive after for days. I highly recommend!

I had the most amazing massage experience here. I got a prenatal massage from Katy when I was almost forty weeks pregnant. I loved the special pregnancy table; it made the experience even more comfortable. The studio is serene and the massage was truly relaxing and rejuvenating. I'm so excited such a place a this is right in my neighborhood. In my previous pregnancy I traveled all the way to Soho for a massage and it was more expensive and not as good! I highly recommend this studio to everyone especially the tired pregnant women out there! I might be back for a postpartum massage as well. :)

Had a fantastic prenatal massage with Katy. She is clearly knowledgable and very experienced. She seems like a lovely person. So pleased to have had one of my best massages ever right here in the neighborhood. I highly recommend this place. And the intro price of $85 was a nice treat.
