Inyati Game Lodge, Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

We stayed at Inyati private game lodge for 4 nights at the end of October 2025 and had an amazing time! All the staff were extremely friendly and welcoming and went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable. The animal sightings were extraordinary! We saw leopards every day, and up close too! Our tracker Lucas took time to explain what he read in the tracks and shared interesting details which enhanced the experience. We had Omega as our guide/ranger the first day and Diff for the remainder of our time at Inyati. Both men have amazing knowledge about the bush and animals and have a tenacity to take you through thick bush to get us very close the animals. It amazed us that the animals were not bothered by the noise and proximity of the vehicles. We loved the background stories Diff shared with us about each lion, leopard and elephant we encountered. It is so great to see their passion for the bush. When we asked if we could see a specific animal, they took great effort to find those for us. Saw a large pack of wild dogs, several leopards perched in tree branches, elephants right next to the vehicle, lions feeding ….to name just a few sightings. The chef and kitchen staff provided wonderful meals, and the servers were so polite and kind, always ready with a smile, taking care that everyone has what they need. Goodman proved lasting memories of kindness with his megawatt smile! After dinner a night guide walks you back to your villa, since animals can freely wander onto the lodge grounds, adding extra adventure. We absolutely loved our stay and the animal sightings definitely exceeded our expectations! D&E

We booked this trip more than a year ago for our 20th wedding anniversary and have been anticipating for so long. Everything about our stay exceeded our expectations. The food was plentiful and excellent, our room was kept beautifully clean and staff were ready to help at all times. Our Ranger and tracker had more than 70 years of experience between them. We saw 4 of the big 5 on our first game drive, and every drive after that brought something new and amazing. The Inyati lodge is not fenced - so we saw elephants, hippos, vervet monkeys and more wandering up from the river and throughout the property. We had an amazing week and cannot think of anything that could have improved on our stay. Thank you Inyati.

Our group of four spent five nights at Inyati. Our game drives with guide Omega and his tracker were fantastic, getting us up close to just about every creature we hoped to see and some we never heard of. We saw all of the big five on our first morning and saw new things every day. Watching big cats consume their prey was a highlight. The cottages were very comfortable and scenic. The food was tasty and plentiful. The front desk was helpful when needed and housekeeping staff took care of all our needs while remaining practically invisible.

We had an enjoyable and lovely first safari experience at Inyati game lodge. The service standards are top notch, they are always attentive to deliver. Game drives were enjoyable and we managed to see the big 5 and more. The food is amazing, one of the best that we had in South Africa, we were so well fed not only in terms of quantity but quality as well. The location is also fantastic, facing the sands river where animals are free to roam and you’ll often see animals grazing in the front lawn. Despite the fence less concept, you’ll never have to worry about danger as the staff will make you feel well protected and comfortable. A big thank you to the entire Inyati team for making this trip a dream come through for us, absolutely no regrets staying in this property.

We were overjoyed with this experience. Keith, Surprise, Chef Blessing and the entire team did a fantastic job. |Great attention to detail both in the lodging experience as well as the daily safaris. Literally cried as our plane lifted off in our farewell waves with Keith & Surprise - leaving this beautiful part of the world - definitely left a piece of our hearts behind… the people, the incredible animals, the food, the spirit - will truly cherish these memories.||Upon return to the USA, we have sang our praises of Inyati and will continue to do so…

Our stay at Inyati Game Reserve was like a wonderful dream. Everything about the experience was perfect, from the beautiful grounds and lodges, the wonderful service of all the staff, the delicious food, and, of course, the totally outstanding wildlife.||Our guide Roger and tracker, Qolani were knowledgable, interesting and approachable and made every game drive unique. And the way they worked with the other guides and trackers including those from other nearby lodges, allowed all visitors to get the most exceptional wildlife sightings, while still respecting the animals and ensuring no more than two or three trucks were with any animal or group of animals at a time. ||It was magical to be able to sit with a drink on the terrace just watching elephants or hippos down by the river below, or grazing on the lawns and I would return there in a heartbeat.

Wow, What an amazing experience. Our guide Roger and Tracker Qilani were amazing. Giving us an amazing safari experience what they don't know about the Kruger probably isn't worth knowing. The lodge is beautiful and so well kept. The staff were great providing top quality service with delicious food and top hospitality. Would highly recommend this.

We have recently returned home from a 4 week holiday in South Africa and this was our first visit back to South Africa since the COVID lockdowns! ||As I had always struggled on previous game drives to get a good photograph of a leopard, we were recommended to try Inyati Private Game Lodge in Sabi Sands. ||We arrived just in time to drop our bags in our luxury chalet and go on the afternoon safari, this being the first of 10 game drives over the course of our 5 night stay.||We were introduced to our guide and tracker (Diff and Lucas) and asked what we would like to drink on the afternoon’s sundowner! ||In all we had 1 dinner out in the bush under the stars, 2 dinners in the boma and 3 dinners on the lodge’s viewing / breakfast deck.||The staff were very welcoming and friendly, the food was very good with enough selection to please many varying tastes and requirements.||Being situated within the park meant that an escort was necessary going to and from our chalet when it was dark for safety reasons. This was a tad exciting but at no time did we feel unsafe.||On the early morning drives we always stopped at some point for tea, coffee, biscuits and amarula liquor!||Our stay was both very enjoyable and relaxing and the game drive sightings were unquestionably excellent thanks to both Diff and Lucas.||Many thanks to all involved at Inyati Private Game Lodge.
