INZU Lodge

My favorite hotel all over Rwanda. Such a perfect place to end your Congo Nile trail. The staff is so so nice, the tents are beautiful, comfortable with enough space. Clementine literally brought my shoes back new. She is amazing. The food is good, and the view from the restaurant makes you wanna stay all day. A very peaceful place that made me enjoy more Gisenyi than I thought I would. One thing to look out for it to be above perfect : shower pressure. :)

This was the nicest place I stayed during my weeks in Rwanda, and probably one of the most beautiful gardens with a view I’ve ever experienced. Located about 4 km south of Gisenyi, Inzu Lodge sits on a hill roughly 200 meters above Lake Kivu. From the garden, you get a breathtaking panoramic view over the lake—especially stunning at sunset.On my first day, I didn’t leave the hotel. They offer three different room categories; I tried the bungalow and the cabin, both with private bathrooms. Everything worked perfectly. The service was excellent—Patrick at the front desk does a fantastic job.The internet connection, most likely via Starlink, was reliable throughout my stay. The restaurant serves very good food, fresh and well-prepared. Overall, it’s a well-organized and thoughtfully run lodge. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is the lake tour. But to be fair, none of the operators I looked into offered anything particularly special in that regard.

Tucked into a mountainside garden alive with colour and birds, Inzu Ecolodge offers a relaxed, affordable stay with stunning lake views. The staff are kind and attentive, always ready to help, whether you want to climb the mountain for volcano views or enjoy a sunset boat ride. Perfect for anyone seeking a peaceful, nature-filled getaway with genuine hospitality

The setting is beautiful with great views of the lake. The tents are clean but very basic and cheap. The internet only works at the restaurant, not in the rooms. It is also very annoying that they don't take credit cards, only cash. The road to reach the lodge is very steep and super bumpy, I did it with a 4wd but I wouldn't risk a nice car to go up. Food is good but slow, especially for breakfast if you need an early start.|Ask the reception for a tour of the lake in the late afternoon to see the fishermen setting up their nets.

Not a luxury resort, but they are what they say they are, it's a very nice place to stay. It's a bit remote and there isn't much to do in the area, but perfect for someone that just wants to relax and enjoy beautiful views.

This is truly the best accommodation in all of Rwanda. The prices are reasonable, not as expensive as in some other places. The food is really very good

Glorious. The pictures on google maps really undersell it. The tents are cozy with plenty space, and contain a light, plugs and mosquito nets. The shower is beautiful, and you have a choice between a long-drop and a regular flush toilet. The main resturant/chill area is wonderful, with cozy lighting and huge couches to read on. The food is also great, all the breakfasts were delicious, and their pizzas are surprisingly good. The real star of the show is the view though. Cannot recommend it highly enough. My partner and I didn’t want to leave.

Clear recommendation! What a treat after hiking Congo Nile. Beautiful location and view, very green, light and well maintained.
