Ioanni's Grill

The food was amazing, the seafood was seasoned perfectly. Fries were really fresh, had a golden crisp outer layer and soft moist potatoes inside. The grilled vegetable was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. Everything was fantastic, best seafood I had in the Atlantic Beach area.

Food was sports bar food. Ordered burger medium, it was well. Still a good burger. Didn’t get wings but they did look pretty tasty. My wife got the pizza and said it was good. The crab dip didn’t disappoint, it was really something to try. Service was good just had to ask for sauce a few times. So, overall if you enjoy a sports bar and a good vibe give this place a try. The food will be up to you.

This review is from the EI Men’s Burger club. We meet to try Burgers in ENC. There were 14 gentlemen attending Ioannis on March 28th. Ioannis is a very nice sports bar. High marks for ambiance. Amber was our waitress, and she was friendly efficient and accommodating for our large group. Burgers all came out within a few minutes of each other and orders were all correct. No billing mistakes with 14 individual tickets. So again, high marks for service. The burgers are a full half pound and there was a wide array of toppings available. Individual reviews were all in the 3-4 range for the burgers. Good flavor but some said their burger was a bit dry, perhaps variation in temperature across our large group. Pricing as compared to other’s we have tried was moderate. A good value in the local high-end burger market. Overall we are awarding Ioanni’s a 4 star rating.

Cool atmosphere with a large collection of sports memorabilia. I tried the Greek pasta dish and it was huge. The wait time was reasonable on a busy Friday night.

This was a great place. I stoped in while house hunting and was pleasantly surprised by the atmosphere and excellent menu. The food was fantastic. Just wanted a light meal so we ordered a steak and cheese grinder and a grilled cheese. Order arrived piping hot and within 15 minutes or so. Service was outstanding as well. Definitely will stop in next time I’m in the area for those wings!

Ioanni’s is a sports bar place with ambience being very sporty, totally packed and fun crowd. There was also dining section where families sat down since they also had kids menu on the list. Food however was not so great❗️ Chicken burger that we ordered had a huge chicken patty, juicy but lacked flavor. Also, the buns were bland. Burger could be made better! We ordered tenders with spicy sauce, the sauce was more salty than spicy. Fries and okra were okay. Overall, this place was open until late and is your only option if you are looking for food late night in this area. Our major turn down was with the bill. They made us wait for 30 mins before they got our bill and some more before they got the swipe machine for the card. Up until then service was good but this wasted our time.

I fell in love with the food, the service, and the food… did I mention the food? This family owned restaurant is a true example of old fashioned customer service and the ambiance is awesome!! I’m addicted to this place!! The Seafood Platter will floor you!! Thanks guys!!

A truly wonderful little hole in the wall restaurant. I took my youngest for a quick dinner and we were both very pleased with the food. I think that their signature burger may have been the best I've ever had! Our waitress was also amazing. She must have been doing laps because she was checking on us as just about every few moments and she really made us feel like we were valued guests. It is a sports bar, but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't converse and hear each other, and we just really enjoyed our meal. Thanks :-)

As advertised-locals, active, great atmosphere AND food! Host was immediately engaged and my server Bella was spot on in attentive table service. Calamari wasn't fresh (rings), but the Ioanni's Single is fantastic! Cooked to perfection and highlighted by the onions and yes..BACON! Asked a local about this location and was immediately convinced it was the place to try - not disappointed! Sports sports and more sports memorabilia and the music was perfect - Hair Nation....nuff said. * Stay local, eat local...Ioanni's on the short list!

I have been coming here for years, granted I had a ten year gap when I lived in Chapel Hill, but even on my visits here to see family, I have never had a bad thing at Ioannis! It's one of my go-tos during the week and on the weekends. All of the staff here is incredible; quick service, with a smile, and a really fun time. All of the salads are top hits (the greek is out of this world). Every wrap I've tried from here has pretty much always been my favorite thing. The shrimp are always cooked to perfection. The subs and and nachos are on point. And of course, the best wings in town! Truly, the whole menu is great! They make great drinks and have an awesome selection of beers, alcoholic and n/a. If you're wondering if this is where you should eat, do it. You won't be disappointed!

Now this is what I'm talking about! Awesome menu of Greek/Italian and bar food items ranging from gyros to pizzas to huge burgers. The crab bread was to die for and the wings were some of the best I've ever had- a Wednesday special no Less ...75 cents. Steady stream of what seemed like locals for our entire visit. Service was A plus. Cold beer and drink specials/ delicious food. A must stop- we will return- hands down one of the best places we've eaten at down here.

If you're going to be staying by Atlantic Beach or in Morehead City ya need to stop buy Ioanni's. I called my order in and the woman on the phone was very polite and answered the one or two questions I had. My boyfriend and I got the cheese pizza and the wings! We walked in and we're quickly helped by a very nice server. I also appreciated that the bartender made sure we had been helped too. Super cute inside, lots of football flags, definitely the spot to watch the game! Now to the food...let's just say I now have a fave spot to go to when we visit because the pizza AND the wings were 10/10!!! Absolutely delicious, I was upset when I finished. Do yourself a favor and visit this great spot!

Total locals bar! Get your ass in here. Legit wings. Drink prices so reasonable and if you can find a spot (pick ups in the lot)... good gals running the bar! @drinkslowandlow

My boyfriend and I stopped here otw back to Greensboro. "Best wings in town" is what the sign read. From the moment we walked in, the customer service was through the roof! Our server, Kelly, was quick, sweet, knowledgeable, AND here on her day off. Did I mention they were having $1 wings? Everything was so delicious and I will def be looking forward to stopping here again and Im back ! :) Happy New Year!

Sat at the bar instead of a table. Had the fish sandwich and Buffalo chicken wrap which were the sandwiches of the day. Both delicious and nice portions.

This was our first trip to Atlantic Beach and we arrived later than we planned. This grill was one of the few still open with decent ratings so we decided to give it a try. I placed our order as I was driving otw to pick up our food. The gentleman who answered the phone was extremely helpful in recommending items. We got a large pepperoni pizza and 10 wings, took his recommendation for the grilled hot wings. They have lots of flavors to choose from! Upon arrival, I had to wait for my food a bit which was expected since the drive was only about 10 minutes from our hotel. The waitress who brought me my good even carried it out to my car without me asking or expecting her to. Very thoughtful and helpful service! Since I was carrying out, I didn't see a lot of the inside but from what I did see from the front it appeared clean.

A glowing review is the least they deserve! The way Sam says "under water farts" that tugs at my heartstrings! Don't miss out on this great place! #fromtheirish

Where to start here ‍.. tried to call in a take out order but as usual the line is always busy so I went up to put my take out order in when I arrived I asked the hostess if I could place a take out order she informed me that it had ti be done at the bar. The dining area had several empty booths the bar was full and the two bartenders seemed very over whelmed as people were standing waiting for drinks and food. As I waited to place my order a couple beside me that had been there for who knows how long had their food come out .. well I should say the ladies came out the gentleman's came out 15 mins after hers .. the so called manger finally got behind the bar and took my order afterwards he came from around the bar and was talking and I told him that they need to have their phone lines fixed so call in orders could be placed and what the hostess told me about having g to place my order at the bar as I noticed 4 waitress standing in the back not doing anything he said that they should and could have taken it instead of going to correct the issue he walked back to their "huddle" place and began to play and joke with them. The food was just ok .. definitely not worth the hour I spent getting it

We got takeout so I can't speak to the service of eating in but it took double the time they quoted on the phone. Inside it's like a sports bar and very casual. The food was okay. We got a chicken gyro and a lamb & beef one as well as the chicken pizza and it was all average. I would maybe try a burger there because the fries and ranch were good so maybe it was just the items we chose.

Excellent pizza! We had wings too. It was all delicious. Had it delivered!!! Would definitely recommend!!!

Great food and great atmosphere. I enjoyed the flounder, my wife and daughters had the bacon ranch pizza. The bacon cheese fries were also really good.

Called ahead to see if they could accommodate a seafood allergy and a party of 9 at 9:30 at night, they said yes so we gave it a shot and OMG. This place is the very best food we have had in the area by far AND the service was the very best as well. Our waitress was literally perfect, the food was SO GOOD, and it was so reasonably priced for how much you got. 10/10 can't wait to come back!

Best service and Tiara is always funny to talk to. Ahi tuna is Bomb af, and the club sandwich always hits the spot. Plus the sweet potato fries they put cinnamon sugar on so it's amazingggg!!!

I'm not sure this place has any nearby competitors in any category. Pizza. Greek, American, wings, beer. Can't go wrong here and it is obvious from the full parking lot.

Love the wings. The owners are amazing friendly people that open the doors to anyone. The fried pickles are why I come and the wings!! I like em hot and Sam behind the bar knows just how I like em.. love this place

Food was good... when it finally came to the table, as it took forever. The waitress, Ariel was terrible. She never came back to check on us to see if everything was ok, if the food was good, if there was anything we needed. Nothing. We had to ask for our check, then she gave us the wrong check!! A TERRIBLE server. Don't sit in her area.

Treated the staff to a chicken bacon ranch pizza and a sub yesterday. It is amazing and the pizza was probably one of the best I've ever had. Tons of flavor, great toppings, cooked to perfection and the dough was out of this world. I also LOVE the fact that they deliver without using DoorDash/UberEats. Another all time favorite here is the crab bread... do yourself a favor and make sure your order the crab bread to start your meal. Keep up the awesome work, Ioanni's!!

Great place to catch an ACC game! We enjoyed friendly service at the bar from Sammy and a really tasty Cannoli Cheesecake with our drinks. Solid selection behind the bar and a really expansive menu prepared in house. Will be back for pizza!

We love the atmosphere here. It is always busy and has great food. Love the wings and especially their burgers! Wait staff is always friendly and attentive! Great local place to eat

Honestly some of the best food we've had on the trip! Cold beer and delicious hot chips! The girls enjoyed their kids meals of Spaghetti and Fried Shrimp. Husband and I had a sub and club! Both were very good. We sat outside and witnessed them following Covid-19 practices to a t! Appreciate the care in cleaning each table between guests and ensuring everyone is kept socially distanced. Thanks Ioanni's!

Ordered a small grilled chicken Ceaser salad on my way to work, it came in a small box like the one for a piece of pie, it had 10 pieces of lettuce and very dry tough chicken on it for the low price of 10$. Rude staff

Nice neighborhood place. Half the time you see your food up, but no one picks it up. Need a napkin, or utensils? Not happening. It's really not somewhere I'm looking to back to anymore.

We left before our food even came. A cockroach crawled across the table right in front of me, we swiped it onto the floor. And I smashed it! The waiter was great, but he also acknowledged that they can't keep that from happening. They have a problem! Ugh.

Great sports bar with even better food. I had the meatball sub- bread was soft on the inside and crisp on the outside and the meatballs and marinara were delish. My husband had the wings and pizza- also amazing.

Hadn't tried to eat there in several years due to the bad service received from previous visits. So my wife says let's try again with some hesitation I said, OK we will try. So we walk in the front door and the hostess greets us and says it will be about a 20 minute wait so I said OK so we're waiting about five minutes and another couple come in behind us in a few minutes later another couple joins them and I noticed the waitress is cleaning a table and so she comes up and grabs the four people that came in after us and seats them. I'm thinking OK . This is not going good so far but we wait and again another couple comes in behind us with a party of 4. So we are all waiting and again the hostess comes up grabs the four people seats them and comes back and tells me I know it looks like I'm passing you up but really I'm not and I reply how are you not passing us up. I'm not sure how you're figuring that. You have just seated two parties that come in after us.. I look at my Wife) and she says let's go. We shouldn't have tried this.. The hostess is trying to talk to me from across the room and I tell her remove our name from the list. We will not do this again . Again, I tell her to remove our name and we will never ever come back again and after that I left, I'm very upset and disappointed and call the manager and explain what just happened as to why I walked out of his restaurant and will never return. The sad part is we just live across the street up behind Bojangles and in walking distance to this restaurant but refuse to come there ever again. It won't let me post this unless I give it a star rating. If I could give it zero stars that's what I would do.

So not one waitress in this places smiled or even acted like they wanted to be there. They walked by but never once asked it everything was ok or asked if we needed anything. You know your tips depend on a good attitude , if you don't like what you do then find a NEW JOB because we pay for our food, service and should be treated accordingly. The food was good so the chef did his job but the others truly failed the chef. I always tip at 20% or higher because I understand this is how they make there money but this girl got 10% which she didn't even deserve that!! I don't care how busy you are people will give you a lot of grace if you smile and are nice. There was none of that at this place.

It's a pretty good place. Heard lots about it so we gave it a try. Not too much seating but the food was pretty good. I had a Philly cheese steak sandwich and enjoyed the App State and Duke flags.

Great service even on a busy Wednesday night. Sat at the bar due to no open seats, bartenders were mixing drinks and serving food with smiles! Wings were on point!

I ordered a cheese pizza and an italian sub. I could tell they were swamped at the restaurant. When you call it asks you to press one like a hotline. The pizza was a medium thickness and tasted a little like school pizza. Wasn't good and wasn't bad. The Italian sub was pretty good accept they added banana papers and I said no banana peppers. It took over 1 hour 20 minutes to get there, though. I was quoted 50 minutes. I think this seems to be a place to eat at the restaurant. It is always packed which is a good sign and is probably a lot of fun. Not so much for takeout.

Had dinner there the other night. We had to wait about 30 minutes. The door said that they were short staffed so there would be a wait. The hostess was really nice and we were seated in about 30 minutes. The service and atmosphere was really good and the food was as well. It's a great place to hang out and eat a good meal.

HAVE GIVEN THIS PLACE GREAT REVIEWS IN THE PAST....Never going here again!! Showed up and was told 30 min wait. Saw several people be seated and asked again and were told we were still on the list. After waiting over an hour folks that arrived after us were apologized to by the waitress for it taking so long. When we asked the waitress...she rudely told us we were wrong and that she had said she had been there since 11 and we were not next. We asked her to check and she said our name had been marked off...WITH NO APOLOGY OR ANY SORT OF SENTIMENT....RUDEST MOST INCOMPETENT STAFF EVER. WE LEFT!! DONT GO HERE EVER!!!

My boyfriend and I went to Ioannis last night. First red flag for me was that we stood in the entry way for about 5 minutes before anyone offered to seat us. We eventually sat at the bar, where we ordered some appetizers from one bartender. About 10 minutes later another bartender asked if we were ready to order our main meal. We ordered a pizza and a burger. Fast forward about 45 minutes, we were finishing our appetizers and the second bartender comes back around to ask if we would like anything else to which we replied yes and asked how much longer our main food order would be. He literally shrugged his shoulders and walked away. I had no idea what that meant- but he finally came back and said that he looked in the computer and there was no other order besides our appetizers. I said, you took our order. He looked at me like he had no recollection of this. He then looks through his notepad and says oh yeah. I guess I forgot to put it in. An extremely weird situation, and we were ready to call it a night as we had already been there an hour so we just asked for the check. I would have expected an apology or some kind of discount on our appetizers but never got that. Just a disappointing experience.

Wait was too long...42 minutes after we ordered. Party of 4... ordered the calzone, wings, house burger, cheeseburger. Calzone was good, wings were good, house burger was meh! Cheeseburger comes with mustard ketchup and yellow American cheese. Fair warning for folks who may not like mustard. Convenient

I'm giving Ioanni's Grill 3 stars because 1) They delivered it so maybe it would have been better if we ate it at the restaurant. 2) I thought this place was a Greek restaurant. My gyro sandwich was not what I expected or what I'm used to. If you look at the picture, the slices look like processed meat. Like it came out of a can like Spam. 3) If this place is a Greek restaurant why isn't their tzatziki sauce any good? It was running, not creamy, and it looked like their were ZOODLES in it! Like what? I'm also giving 3 stars because my girlfriend ordered the ahi tuna steak and she enjoyed it.

This restaurant has a very lively atmosphere. The food is SO GOOD! I have eaten here over 5 times easily and have never had a bad experience. Very local vibe.

We opted to stay in for a late dinner and called down the front desk of the hotel we were staying at and asked about local places for pizza. She suggested Ioanni's. We called up and they delivered which was awesome! We ordered a large pizza with pepperoni and sausage, a meatball sub, a large garden salad and a kid's spaghetti. It took about an hour for it to arrive which was told to us when we called and placed the order. The food arrived hot and it was delicious. The sauce on the spaghetti and the meatball sub must have been the same. It was flavorful and a bit spicy which I was fine with. The meatballs were tasty and the bread was delicious. The fries were crisp and tasty. My husband loved the pizza! It was thin but not cracker-thin. We would definitely visit or have delivery again if in the area!
