Ipanema Inn

If you come to Rio for the beach and sights - it’s a perfect choice. It’s located in the heart of Ipanema and is just 2 min from the sea. Rooms and design are clean and wonderful. We felt right at home and safe. They have their own beach service. Breakfasts are the best - you can choose 2 dishes, drinks and coffee from the menu included - and best coffee we’ve had in the whole Brazil. Staff is very nice and helpful. Plenty of good restaurants nearby, we recommend to check Zaza. Overall the area feels quite safe. The price could be lower taken into account the construction work in the neighbouring building which our room windows faced. And there is nor a poor or it’s private territory, so if the weather is bad by the sea there is not much to do.

Located right across the street from Ipanema Beach and includes free towels and beach chairs. The restaurant is excellent. The room itself is very small but clean. Very noisy street and construction next door. AC drips water and the shower was not easy to use. Bed was lumpy. The spa is located on the rooftop of their other hotel in Arpoador and we recieved an excellent massage there. Overall a very good 3 night stay.

Simply the best hotel! Small but super friendly staff, rooms really comfortable with everything you need. Food/restaurant was really great, catering for gluten-free - the Tapiocas were fab! And their signature cocktail ‘Ginga de Ipanema’.. well! What can I say except.. you have to have one!

Lovely place. Accommodating and family friendly. Easy check-in and check-out. Friendly staff. Hotel is located close to the beach. Good breakfast options at Quiteria. Thoughtfully designed, enjoyable.

Rooms are small but really cozy food is amazing location is the best and they offer beach chairs and umbrella at the beach!|Extremely safe area amazing costumer services! Really impressed with the hotel as price was relative low! Breakfast is always included and it is amazing for vegan and regular! They have music bossa nova at night and a full free wine happy hour! Just amazing

Beautiful clean rooms, quiet space and comfortable bed and pillows with air conditioned rooms. The shower is wonderful with amazing pressure for a refreshing shower after a hot long day out. Highly recommend and the staff are amazing……..

Our stay at Ipanema Inn was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-notch. Fred was an amazing host—he went above and beyond to help my fiancée and me have an unforgettable visit in Rio. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and accommodating, making us feel welcomed every single day. Ipanema Inn truly felt like a home away from home. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful and seamless stay in Rio!

Hotel is on amazing location,near shops,beach and a lot of restaurants, and it also has a perfect servise.All personel were very kind and profesional. Restorant gor breakfast is also great.Next time,if I come to Rio,I would stay in a same hotel. |Ivana

Great location but lack of service and attention to customer. Could be a gem if they improve the service. I arrived with luggage and no one to help get from the taxi. Only one person working at the reception. Still the location is the selling point

Chose this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and was not disappointed. The rooms and hotel are very clean. The staff is incredibly friendly and speak fluent english, spanish as well as the native language, Portuguese. Half a block to the beach and close to everything. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel and have enjoyed it very much. Clean, nice staff and a good free breakfast. However, this review is for the restaurant. We had dinner here because our previous plans fell through. The food was excellent. My wife had the catch of the day over risotto. I had prawn and octopus over mashed plantains. Both dishes were very good. The staff was attentive and very friendly. Don't let the fact that this restaurant is in a hotel deter you from giving it a try. We were pleasantly surprised.

Five star experience at 3 star hotel! What a great little place for the budget traveller! Located right next to the beach, the Ipanema Inn is a little jewel in Rio. We stayed for two nights and were pleasantly surprised how much we got for such a great rate. The service was friendly and fantastic and the breakfast was so delicious. The waitress Isabela is both beautiful and speaks fluent English which helps. The crepes were just as good as any I've had in France. That being said, the amenities are few and far between. You definitely will need to bring your own specialty soaps, shampoos, etc if you need, however the hotel is within walking distance of a pretty well stocked supermarket. Lastly, I felt safe there as the area is pretty popular and touristy

Service and attitude were great across the board. Genuine smiles from everyone combined with a willingness to assist with every need. Genesio and the team there are simply a model for true hospitality! Nice clean restaurant with an elegant and well assembled breakfast.

Great hotel in a perfect location with a lovely staff. This five star review is primarily for the breakfast (comes with the room) which was literally the best I've ever had at a hotel. Incredible array of juices (seriously those alone in the U.S. would be worth like $10 each - there were delicious and interesting combos like carrot and orange juice and everything was super fresh) - fruits, cheeses, freshly-made pastries plus any type of eggs imaginable to order - I can't even do it justice you just have to experience this breakfast.
