Google
Authentic basque restaurant. Located in Gràcia neighbourhood. Very expensive, careful as there is no menu nor prices shown. Food is OK, but not aligned with prices. I suppose it is a Barcelona thing.

Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Location 4/5 Simply the best meet in Barcelona. Great appetizers and even better homemade deserts.

Excellent meal (though not inexpensive ). The host reads you the menu - ok English - but the day we were there we were the only non Spanish speakers. Quite large portions so easy to over order. But extremely tasty.

This place is so much fun! The waiter will recite the menu to you and the food is excellent. Menus are not provided. They do have some prices posted outside the front door, but don't expect the waiter to recite them to you. Be prepared to spend a little money, but it's worth it for the experience.

Tourist squam / arnaque 23 euros for few mushrooms and more for other starters Catalan friends told that they never paid that much. The meat was good but doesn’t worth the big amount we had to pay. Find better and more honest place

Very nice food, service a bit informal. The day we went the menu was just the owner telling you what they had available that day. Huge portion size (for Spanish standards)

We were here tonight with a group of friends We've never been treated so badly by waiters, impatient / mean / weird / not flexible Food is ok / average but super expensive for what it is Go anywhere else you'll be better off

Had a fantastic business dinner with a basque colleague of mine who lives in the area. Excellent family run place, great food. Don’t miss the Chuleton.

Yelp
Basque. Traditional Basque. What does that mean? Well, not too many options for my pescatarian lunch date. Unless you want heavy / creamed fish. Staff was a little flummoxed when we got there. No menus because the owner hadn't returned from the market with fresh ingredients of the day yet, so they weren't exactly sure *what* was on the menu. (This was after 1pm) Having said this there was one other couple in there for lunch and they seem to be eating fine? Once the owner got there we got more choices, my food was very heavy and very salty. They kept telling us to get steak as that's one of the things they do well, except I wanted a light lunch. Oh well, not their fault, should have known better.

Yelp
Came here based on the little blurb written in the Lonely Planet travel book. We ended up waiting an hour for this place to open (opens at 9PM). We were asked if we had reservations and we did not, but that didn't seem to matter as we were still shown a seat. After we sat, I'm assuming the owner came over and instead of handing us a menu, proceeded to tell you everything on the menu...in English. It was great, but hard to remember exactly what tapas he had. Per Lonely Planet, we ordered the T-bone steak for two (but in our case, for 3) and the fish collarbones. For tapas, we ordered artichoke hearts with ham and roasted red peppers. To drink we ordered some cider which was an experience (there's a certain way you need to pour the drink). The food was delicious...hands down, my best meal in Barcelona. Service was friendly and it was a plus that we met the owner and that he spoke to us in English. We didn't have reservations, but that wasn't a problem. If I'm ever back in Barcelona, I would definitely come back for the T-bone steak (served on a hot plate and sprinkled with salt...if you want your meat cooked longer, simply smash it against the hot plate and it will cook!).

Yelp
Janal describes it well (opens at 9, owner (?) recites menu in aspirational English). The food was delicious, as has been the case at most of the tapas and Catalan restaurants we've gone to in Barcelona this week, too. My three-star rating is due to that lack of printed menu, and so no idea on prices. At 95€, this was at least 2X as expensive as any other meal for the two of us in Barcelona. (We had sea bass for 2, two sides, two glasses of wine, and one flan.) Was everyone charged the same prices? Or were American tourists charged more? A €€€ or €€€€ experiece for us. What were others charged?

Yelp
I've seen the reviews and can only assume that we did something to offend the restaurant staff. The food was good, the ambience very nice and the service, or rather the conveyance of food from the kitchen to our table, was efficient. Other than taking our order and delivering the food, there was no service. No checking on our meal. No thank you. No good byes. The staff was very unfriendly. On the other hand, I thought that the restaurant was very reasonably priced. Under $100 U. S. for two starters, sea bass for two, two glasses of house wine, ice cream and coffee. I'm used to N.Y.C. prices, however. I can't say not to go to this restaurant but I can say that we will not be back. Too many other places that are more agreeable.

Yelp
The service was great. Very friendly and accommodating for us English only speakers. We had to wait for 15mins on a table but were served Cava Sangria at the bar. Watched the bar keep make it and it was very good. One of the best I've had. The tapas were unique and a great variety. The lamb taco was amazing. Cooked to perfection segued in corn tortilla. The fried green tomatoes wet very nice with a jam sauce that was a nice addition. What several other tapas all very very good.
