Came here based on the little blurb written in the Lonely Planet travel book.
We ended up waiting an hour for this place to open (opens at 9PM). We were asked if we had reservations and we did not, but that didn't seem to matter as we were still shown a seat.
After we sat, I'm assuming the owner came over and instead of handing us a menu, proceeded to tell you everything on the menu...in English. It was great, but hard to remember exactly what tapas he had. Per Lonely Planet, we ordered the T-bone steak for two (but in our case, for 3) and the fish collarbones. For tapas, we ordered artichoke hearts with ham and roasted red peppers. To drink we ordered some cider which was an experience (there's a certain way you need to pour the drink).
The food was delicious...hands down, my best meal in Barcelona. Service was friendly and it was a plus that we met the owner and that he spoke to us in English. We didn't have reservations, but that wasn't a problem. If I'm ever back in Barcelona, I would definitely come back for the T-bone steak (served on a hot plate and sprinkled with salt...if you want your meat cooked longer, simply smash it against the hot plate and it will cook!).
