Ippokampos Beachfront Hotel & Restaurant

Check in was a little rough as our prepaid reservation with hotels.com didn’t get transferred to the hotel. The staff worked a miracle and got us a room in a lesser category for one night until they could transfer us to the room that we had paid for and comped us beach chairs and umbrellas for the stay, even though the mixup wasn’t their fault. |The hotel location is great and they serve a full a la carte breakfast in their beachfront restaurant (included in the room rate). Easy walk to downtown Naxos town and right on a lovely stretch of beach.Would definitely come back to this hotel but would reconfirm that they had my reservation prior to arrival.

We booked this hotel kind of last minute after spending a few days in Athens and truly could not have had a better experience! This hotel is steps from one of the best beaches in Naxos and we loved that we were a little bit away (10 mins walking) from the busy port town. This was the perfect location. Rooms had AC and breakfast was included at the restaurant right next to the hotel and the breakfast was great. Had the best time here and can't wait to come back. The owner of the hotel also arranged for my ride to the Naxos airport on the last day.

Ippokampos is the perfect spot on St. George Beach for a truly memorable beach day! This beachside restaurant offers everything you need—fantastic cocktails that are refreshing and expertly crafted, plus umbrellas and sunbeds for a perfect swim and sunbathing experience. The vibe at Ippokampos is simply unbeatable—relaxed, welcoming, and filled with that quintessential beach atmosphere that makes you never want to leave. The food is consistently delicious, with a variety of fresh and flavorful dishes that satisfy every craving. The staff is warm and attentive, ensuring that every visit feels special! Whether you're here to soak up the sun, enjoy great food and drinks, or just relax by the sea, Ippokampos is the place to be. Highly recommend!

The hotel is across the beach next to the Chora town. Good breakfast with the best latte (tks Helena). The rooms are comfy and clean. You can also rent beach beds at the beach. There is a Windsurf and kite surf shop not too far if you want to take lessons.

Well, honestly, this is by far the BEST place I’ve had the pleasure of visiting on any vacation. Over the course of 6 days, we visited Ippokampos Beach front restaurant SEVEN different times. Yes, that’s how awesome this place is! We had breakfast multiple times, lunch on the beach chairs, just drinks, and dinner twice. Let me tell you..you will not get better service anywhere. Dimitra (the beautiful woman who is always there), Ervis, and another young man who I’m unsure of his name, were all just so warm and welcoming. The food is fresh, delicious, and unique too. Booked there in November 2023 for our Honeymoon. This was an amazingly disappointing experience. We arrived mid-day to this hotel. It was almost empty, maybe one other customer was there. We went to the reception to ask for our room. The receptionist, rude and not very welcoming showed us our room= a room 1st floor, semi underground, with no windows. We saw that they had plenty other rooms empty so we tried to ask for a different room and the receptionist, again, rude, told us that it was not possible because none were available... We were supposed to stay there for several nights, how can you ask people in Naxos in November to stay in a room without no windows at all? during their Honeymoon nonetheless?? No exchange no refuns were possible, this receptionist did not want to cooperate or hear anything. No manager was available and no discussion possible. We went instead to the Venetian suites (chose the Grande Suites) in the city center of Naxos and the contact we had was really way more friendly.

The location of this hotel is great! Right in front of the beach and close to restaurants and shops ect. Good vibe. Definitely book with breakfast as it was delicious and we enjoyed it. The room it self was basic. We booked a basement triple. The toilet was dated and tiny and very limited space to keep luggage ect. It had a decent courtyard to dry wet clothes. Not very satisfied with the service. The manager recommended a rent car service for 100 euro a day and we found many down the road that offered same for 50 euro a day ( Naxosways), so do not go through the hotel if you are renting a car. When we mentioned this to the manager he shrugged it off. Also no service of carrying luggage to room ect. If you are looking for service I won’t recommend this hotel but it’s a nice place otherwise.

An amazing experience, I stayed in a Seaview room and everything about it was faultless. The mattress and pillows are high quality coupled with a fantastic shower and to die for view. |The staff are wonder and especially the Manager Jannis, he couldn’t do enough for me. As a solo travel I felt safe and very relaxed. |The hotels location is perfect and everywhere is walking distance. |I would recommend this hotel, it is exceptional value and you will not be disappointed.|I had such an amazing time I am re booking for October!
