Irene's Floral Design

The flowers were delivered within 2 1/2 hours of ordering and they were beautiful. They brightened my sisters day and made her feel better after her surgery!!

I reached out to Irene’s Floral Design for flowers for my Dads funeral. I looked online for an idea of what I wanted and found an urn surround I thought my mother would love for my dad. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the surround. It was beautiful! I have included a photo of the vase of flowers I ordered for the funeral from the kids, grandkids and great grandkids. The lady on the phone was very helpful and after a short discussion, decided white flowers with small white Calla Lillies and blue hydrangeas. They were beautiful as well. They delivered on time and we were all very pleased. My Uncle also happened to order flowers form Irenes as well. His were beautiful too. The left photo is of the kids, grandkids and great grandkids vase, the left one with the lantern is from my uncle. I would definitely use them again!

WORTH THE RESEARCH! Came to Irene's for my wedding florals! After my first consultation, I was unsure if I wanted to continue. I came to the appointment with very little idea about what flowers I wanted, and it did not feel like my vision was understood. However, at the next appointment, when I came in with a (slightly) stronger vision of what I wanted, I felt confident in moving forward with my wedding order. My advice to those reading this review is to research your flowers before your appointment... it will be a much better experience!!! I kinda just forgot about everything after this, trusting Irene's! I can't even put into words how BEAUTIFUL my flowers were. I had no plans to preserve my wedding flowers, but I HAD to after I spent my special day with them. Cory and her team went above and beyond to create the most beautiful floral accents for our day.

I really appreciated the thoughtful follow-up email after the delivery, especially with all the photos attached. It gave me such peace of mind to see exactly what was sent and how much care went into every detail. I live outside of Missouri and found this florist online. After searching for arrangements on their website, I found one I liked with some minor changes. The staff was responsive and courteous and made the small changes I asked. The flowers are beautiful and delivery was confirmed through email. The charges are reasonable and service was excellent. I will not hesitate to use this florist again in the future.

Cory, thank you so much for making sure our last minute order would be ready for my mother-in-law’s funeral. The 400 sunflowers were gorgeous and over the top…just like my beautiful mother-in-law. Her children and grandchildren love how they surrounded her and called it her field of sunflowers. Visitors gladly took one home in memory of Mary. Thank you again for making this happen. It was a wonderful send off for such an amazing woman.

We've used Irene's on many occasions and have always been delighted with their work. At my mother-in-law's funeral, the arrangements from Irene's were noticeably fuller and more elegant than the others. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Irene's is a great locally owned business.

Irene's provided the flowers for my daughter's wedding. They were great to work with and provided beautiful arrangements at a reasonable price. The whole process working with Cory was easy, and she was responsive to emails and provided quotes to additions in a timely fashion. We would definitely use them again for other floral or gift needs. They have a good selection of gift items in their shop as well.

Received BD bouquet from Irene's Floral Design. They are gorgeous with a nice selection of very fresh blossoms and even have a delicate fragrance The delivery driver, Mike, knocked and left a text telling me of the delivery. This is the second bouquet my son has sent using them. The first bouquet lasted 2 weeks. i anticipate this one will too. My son reports that the online ordering system is user friendly

This floral shop is amazing!! I placed my order the day before over the phone without having seen the memorial plant we bought for our coworker. The ladies who run this place are experts in their craft!! I can't recommend this place enough. It's very close to Jefferson Barracks in the south county area. The photo does not display how beautiful the rust colored planter is. It was so heavy, they carried it to my car for me. Amazing customer service and quality!!

At this moment I am at my nieces wedding. The cake was just delivered with what was supposed to be a flower spray per the PHOTO that we were shown at the florist. There are 3 flowers. No spray, no draping like there was supposed to be. I called and they said that's what the contract says. I don't care what the contract SAYS. SOMEONE WROTE IT DOWN WRONG! It is NOTHING LIKE THE PHOTO WE WERE SHOWN!!!! I ask you....WHO would order flowers as the cake decoration and just order THIS!!!??? There were 3 of us at that meeting with the florist and every one of us agree on the photo we saw. And this is NOT IT!!!! And they said she did NOT order a topper, which site absolutely did!!!!

I pre-ordered a really nice floral arrangement a few days before Valentine's Day this year. They had everything ready and prepared as I walked in, it was easy and easy out. There is no doubt in my mind that I will give this place another try in the future. And my flowers were very nice and well presented, and the staff was very kind and cheerful as I had my visit. My wife thoroughly enjoyed them witch put a smile on my face. Give this place a shot.

Outstanding online service. I ordered a bouquet to be delivered at noon today and it was delivered in perfect condition by 2:00 pm TODAY! From the picture, it looks just as ordered and the recipient said they are beautiful. I'm not sure if this is standard for their delivery service but regardless, I'm very impressed with my experience. Shop local, Buy local, SUPPORT LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES!!!!

Went to Irene's flora due to jewel box in Arnold closed. Went to the shop to pick out a funeral arrangements. Selected a pot and arrangement that was already made up and we chose to added a wind chime for a keepsake. Paid extra to have the arrangement delivered to the funeral parlor. When we arrived at the funeral parlor the arrangement was not what we ordered. In fact it was another arrangement that was premade up that was smaller and cheeper than what we ordered. Contacted Irene's and was told to bring it back and she would provided what we ordered. There was no way I was going to a family member and ask for the arrangements back after she just lost her husband just so we could get what was originally ordered. I will not return ti this florist they can't even send what was ordered. They sent what they wanted and did not offer to even give a refund for the difference in price. Poor customer service

Beautiful arrangement for our parents 64th anniversary. Staff is easy to work with and knowledgeable.

When I ordered I requested that they create their interpretation of a bohemian bouquet picked by a fairy in a forest, and by golly they did just that! I was worried that my abstract order wouldn't translate well, especially because I ordered online, but they totally nailed it. My mom only sent me one quick picture of it, but it looks like there may even be a butterfly on it! I love and appreciate that the staff is able and willing to make the floral designs that customers want even if we don't know the technical terms. The last time I order my mom flowers from a different shop it was a disaster. I will likely never order flowers from any other shop in the St. Louis area.

Absolutely perfect bouquet delivered within 2 hours of ordering. I'm so impressed with these guys. I grew up in St. Louis but live in CA now but I made sure to order directly from their website. If you ever order flowers, make sure to buy directly from the local florist and not through FTD or an online company. That way the local small business gets all of the money. Great job, I couldn't be happier with their service and I will absolutely use them again!

At 11am, I ordered online a Cardinals arrangement to be delivered to my Dad at the hospital from Irene's Floral Design on Telegraph. He received it before 2pm, and it looks even better than the picture online, which looks great. The flowers are full and fresh, and the ribbons and additional decorations are presented perfectly. It made my dad's day, and I couldn't be happier with their service. Thank you so much!!!

Order from these wonderful people!!! I called them with a seemingly impossible task: Deliver flowers today...Valentine's Day. I assumed it was a long shot, and for the other six floral shops I called, it was. Yet, the woman I spoke to was incredibly accommodating. I have no idea what I'm doing with flowers and she was able to walk me through what would be the best option. Not only were the flowers delivered that same day as requested, they were delivered within the hour! This is my new STL floral shop from now on. 5 STARS.

Irene's florist worked with us patiently to plan our flowers for my son's wedding. I cannot say enough good things about their professionalism, attention to detail and creativity! Because of Chiquita's review, I contacted Irene's to order an arrangment for my dearest friend who lost her mother. Stella ~ one of the designers ~ is phenomenal! She was so engaged and shared so many wonderful ideas for our arrangement that I KNOW it will be awe inspiring! She was kind, showed a great deal of creativity and did everything to ensure I felt comfortable with our selection. yay!

Because of Julia W's Yelp review alone, when my dad died last week, I ordered flowers from Irene's for my stepmom to console her. Diane's personality was every bit as wonderful as Julia says, maybe even more so. The flowers were so beautiful that my stepmom called in grateful tears. I love it when people really enjoy what they do--Diane at Irene's clearly loves doing flower design and she was absolutely delightful to work with. The first time we met, I was in St. Louis for a "Wedding Whirlwind Weekend"--Justin and I would travel to STL and cram in at least 20 good hours of wedding work, which is really too much for anybody, I think... Anyway, I met Diane towards the tail end of one such weekend. I was overwhelmed, getting burned out and probably very grouchy. She met me with a smile and an excitement and enthusiasm that was contagious. Her warm and friendly personality put me at ease and her knowledge and excitement convinced me that she was the lady for the job. We talked flowers, seasonality, style, and color. We sorted though pictures I'd brought and images of weddings she'd done before. By the time we were done chatting, we'd figured out exactly what we needed for the wedding, how much it would cost (pretty reasonable, actually) and the logistics of delivery... and I was surprisingly energized! The day of the wedding, the flowers were delivered on time, looked lovely and held up nicely through that marathon day. Diane was such a joy to work with that Irene's will be my go-to florist once we move to St. Louis. Any woman who can turn a tired, grouchy bride into a beaming, energetic one AND has a way with flowers is nothing short of a miracle worker in my eyes.

Honestly, I waited until the last minute to get my husband something for his birthday. On my way home I remember Irene's shop and since he always says "there's no shame in men getting flowers" I walked on in. I'm so glad I did! My assumption is that the woman helping me was the owner. She was amazing! She helped me pick out the perfect items and she even packaged everything I bought into one big fancy gift. The best part is it didn't cost much more than I would have spent going to the floral department of a local grocery store. She now has a customer for life!

The bride (my daughter) didn't know what kind of bouquet she wanted. The folks at Irene's really helped her with the decision and thankfully made some for her. I highly recommend this florist.

I've never had to send a arrangement for a memorial service before. I called Irene's because they are close. They talked to me and were so helpful and kind. We got a beautiful, tasteful arrangement that was above and beyond what we could have ever expected for the price. I highly recommend them.

I had used Irene's Floral Design in the past, so when we needed a florist for my daughters October wedding they were my first choice. They did an amazing job on all of the flowers for the wedding ceremony and centerpieces for the reception tables. Everything was beyond beautiful, and we received many compliments. Cory was extremely helpful, she listened to determine exactly what my daughter wanted, she made suggestions when appropriate, and was always more than willing to make the many changes my daughter made to make the vision of her wedding a reality while staying within our budget.

Irene's Floral Design made my wedding day unforgettable. I planned my wedding while living cross country, which was certainly a challenge. When Cory and I met, it was through FaceTime. Cory walked me through every step of the process, saw my design better than I did, answered my millions of questions via email and phone... she was absolutely incredible. I would work with Cory on any event, big or small. The flowers are incredible and the prices are so reasonable. She is so creative, professional, insightful and consultative. Irene's is a small little place that I presume serves a nice purpose. I see other reviews show there are some very delighted customers which I am happy to hear. I have always preferred small business owner over large chain so I try to give these places a chance. My request? A simple floral arrangement for mom on the birth of a child. I preferred something to be made/put together. I was met by a very friendly lady that seemed to be hired help/cashier and didn't have the knowledge or experience to know what I was looking for. At one point she spoke to someone I perceived to be the owner/floral artist asking what to do. In so many words I was shown the upcoming Valentine's day arrangements. I eventually walked around the shop myself and found an arrangement that would suffice as I was running out of time and my 2 year old was running out of patience and went with it. The selection was very poor, probably 5-7 Valentine's day arrangements and another 8-12 elsewhere and the shop appeared to be set up for advanced orders. The woman I perceived to be the owner/floral designer was talking to a couple/family at the time I came to the store. I won't speak of major events such as weddings, parties, etc as there are a few very satisfied customers in that category. I'm judging it based solely on a walk in experience. I wouldn't say I wouldn't give the shop another chance, because if I was in a pinch and needed flowers, they have a close store. In reality I think I could have found a better arrangement at Dierbergs or Schnucks. Maybe the online websites would have come through better, but I was trying to help small business and avoid the delivery charges.

My sister informed us that she wished to finally tie the knot with her longtime boyfriend and therefor it was time to do the 'wedding scramble' to find a place, etc, etc. Luckily for us she decided to have her reception at Andre's and Irene's is one of the places that they told us was an excellent flower shop. Not only was it easy and painless when we went in (i do forget whom helped us there) but they helped with matching the flowers just the way my sister imagined. Once the wedding day finally arrived not only were all the flowers for the wedding party beautiful, but the flowers for the room so very pretty. We received many compliments for all the arraignments!

I tried to post and it won't work. Hopefuly this time. I am glad someone mentioned the hired help cashier lady who I think is the blond haired ladies grandmother. The older woman is not familiar with any flowers I have asked about. I don't think she knows much. She must be lonely and her daughter lets her come in. Their prices are high on roses. I got mine across the street at Dierbergs one day for $7.98 and they lasted a while. The hired help lady seems confused sometimes. I have been there about 4 times.Probably won't be going back anytime soon. Not many items to pick from.

This fall I needed two arrangements - one for a get well and another for a funeral. You won't find better floral designers than the ones at Irene's. Both arrangements were beautifully made and perfect for the occasions. I was not sure what to say on the card for the funeral--and Cindy guided me in the perfect sentiment. Top notch customer service. I prefer doing business with local shops and this one is at the top of the list.

I am so incredibly happy that I went with Irene's for all the flowers for my March wedding! I knew nothing about which flowers go together or how things look and they were so helpful by creating a visual of what I would have the day of! I refuse to go to anyone else now and always recommend them to anyone who is looking for a florist!

Rudest and worst customer service I have ever experienced at a florist. They were supposed to deliver flowers last week. I was not home so they left the flowers with a neighbor. They did not leave a card or any communication to sender letting us know flowers had been delivered or left anywhere. We are new to the area and no one brought them to us. Took a few days to realize we were supposed to get flowers as I had major surgery and my mother died in same week. Today they were supposed to redeliver. We called to check on time and they said the delivery window was when I have medical appointment from surgery. It is too cold to leave them outside. We asked then to delay or redeliver tomorrow and reaction was extremely unhelpful and rude. They said there would be a charge and that it wouldn't happen until after Valentine's Day. The assistant on phone said"that's just the way it has to be if you can't be there" . I talked to the owner who was rude and uncaring with horrible attitude. Said nothing she could do if I couldn't be there and I couldn't get them now till after Valentine even although she admitted it was their mistake not leaving communication about the wrong delivery last week. Owner is Rude, snotty attitude and extremely unhelpful.No accountability or compassion.

Well, after reading the other reviews, I thought I'd give them a call. I needed to send a little "pick-me-up" to a friend in St. Louis. A rather grumpy sounding lady answered the phone, told me that Diane was with a customer and asked me how she could help me. I asked if something could be delivered today yet (at the time of the call it was more than an hour before the cut-off time posted on the website for deliveries anywhere in St. Louis). She told me flat-out "no". When I mentioned the cut-off time posted on the website she told me that the website was "down for that cut-off time". That certainly is not a very good way to get business. Maybe they're busy because it's the day before Valentine's Day, but the whole tone of her blowing me off was very unprofessional. Sorry, but I think I'll have to keep looking.

recently my mother passed and i told my family to leave the flower ordering to me .The reason for this was that i knew that the best floral designer in st. Louis was Stella at Irene's. And as we knew they would be! fantastic and everyone that paid there respects commented about the pink carnation spray that was on her casket .Over the top and very reasonable in price.A few days later we stoped in Irene's to thank Stella and look at the christmas arrangements she was makeing. she is so talented and loves what she does and it shows. Thanks Stella your the best . Jesse Jackson
