It is a real hidden jam! What a Turkish Bath in Budapest! They have 3 hour tickets which is perfect and spots are limited to 80 people at a time. We went in the afternoon shift (3-9pm) and arrived around 2:50pm and we were about the 40th in the line. There is no way to book in advance so show up a little early will get you in.

A great hammam built in 1575 and beautifully renovated. It was given to private hands some time ago hence a hospital being built around it but all you see is the stunning hammam when you step in. There are multiple entrances that lead to the hammam from the Danube River side. There is a seperate entrance via the cafe entrance and you can also get there via the hospital entrance. You can buy tickets via the bath reception only and not on line, one of the better entry price tickets in Budapest. They also limit entry to about 80 people at a time and you’ll need to wait until people exit but you can call reception to check entry numbers ahead of time if needed beforehand. It’s a smaller hammam that Rudas and the minerals in the water are slightly different but still soothing. There are 4 other different temp pools in the main hammam to cool down if needed and a lap pool and jacuzzi separately on another floor. The saunas are in a separate corridor of the hammam but very small taking two people only at a time. It’s very clean place and the renovation makes the almost 600 year old bathhouse a dream to visit. We slept very well that night!

Small but beautiful, with a very good price for morning visit (4500 Ft!) and I spent 2.5 hours there. Five pools in the beautiful dome section followed by two saunas and two steam rooms. A hidden gem.

Really enjoyed my visit. It’s definitely a hidden gem and most likely used by locals. It’s located in the hospital and used by the patients so there are parts that feel more clinical than ‘resort’. If you’re looking for the luxury feel then I don’t think this is the place for you. Previous reviews have said to arrive early which we did however there was never a queue and I’m sure you could get in fine at any time. I do suggest bringing your own towel as the ones they gave you aren’t great. There is a couple who do the massages and if you want one I suggest coming earlier as they get booked up quickly.

It was a bit difficult to find as we didn't think it would be within a hospital building. You have to use the hospital entrance to get to the place. We had a great relaxing time in different pools. There are different temperature pools to choose from. It closes a lot later than most of the other bath. It's a lot cheaper than the other popular place with tourists.

Perfect Wednesday afternoon: massage and thermal bath at 3:00 pm. Very relaxing, clean, and not crowded. Friendly staff 😍

My first time visiting thermal baths and I really enjoyed the experience at Irgalmasok Veli Bej Bath. The number of visitors was limited, so it never felt crowded, and everything looked very clean and well maintained. There are several pools with different temperatures and saunas, and the atmosphere felt calm and authentic, not touristy. I would definitely recommend it for a relaxing experience in Budapest.

The main Turkish bath is really good, though I wish it were a bit hotter. Hygiene is fine—you shouldn’t expect luxury from places like this. The saunas are okay, and there are several small pools with different temperatures. It wasn’t too crowded. Tickets are purchased on the spot, but you may need to wait 30–60 minutes to get in. Overall, a fun experience.
