Enjoyed a delicious meal here with great service and a warm and cozy atmosphere. Definitely recommend. They have a very large menu.

Really liked this place a lot. Food was quite tasty, service was decent, and prices were pretty reasonable. The restaurant itself is a little cramped and you don't get a lot of space at your small table, but I'm likely to return at some point. It was very solid.

The irish breakfast was stellar, but I wish they included more black pudding on it. All in all a good spot.

I was passing through the area for work when I stumbled upon this place. Quaint little spot. I had the Irish Mixed Grill. The porkchop was a little overdone, but otherwise very flavorful. The rest of the meal was very good, and the portions for the price were very reasonable. The waitress who originally took my order did kind of forget that I was still there (never returning to check if I needed anything), but thankfully another picked up the slack. The two little negatives kept me from leaving a 5 star across the board review, but I would definitely give this place another shot the next time I am in town.

Pretty nice diner-vibe. Wait took around 10 minutes. The waiters were all excellent and very helpful in what to order. Two of our drink came wrong, however no other problems. We ordered an irish breakfast and it was alright, all the sausages and such were pretty salty.

Amazing local place. The friendliest and best staff. Scones were delicious. Truly caring humble and hospitable. The salmon was incredible. Lovely decor. Can't over recommend this place.

What a great spot in this amazing Irish conclave in Woodlawn. There was a short wait, but the staff was so incredible friendly. They kept us updated on how many tables were ahead of us, and made small convo. Amazing customer service and the food did not disappoint. I have been craving a good Irish breakfast for a while and this hit just right. The white and black pudding were yummy. I enjoyed the videos of Ireland playing in the background and the authentic vibe this place brings. Portions were huge! The small chicken curry was enough to feed two. Would love to come back and get some of their scones to go!

One of our fave spots in the neighborhood. Food is consistently yummy. We love the breakfasts - pancakes, full Irish breakfast, omelettes, you name it. We also had burgers and gammon steak and the fish and chips. Good portions and good prices. The decor in cute. Lovely indoor or outdoor tables, lots of photos. Chill space. Service can be spotty and rather slow but it's all good. We love it there.

I've had many different dishes (mostly breakfast). Today was the first day I actually had something different....with breakfast. Now I can totally take my time and write and why I keep coming back. Because to be quite honest, their breakfast dishes (especially the Irish dishes) are very cozy, delicious and flavorful. I've had their beans, pudding and sausages. That home cooked meal, is just what Irish Coffee Ship is good at. The soup of the day(I honestly cannot remember the type of soup) it was tangy and sweet at the same time but good. It had the butternut squash taste to it. No actual chunks of anything in it, the soup was creamy. I can't say much about my omelette because it wasn't just simply an omelette... to me. They actually seasoned the eggs, the Irish sausage tasted fresh, plus the spinach as well. My home fries was cooked to perfection. The staff and the waitress were professional! The entirety of this place..Irish coffee shop... it's always clean and well maintained. Always busy plus very comfortable atmosphere.. Please support the locals!!!!

Nice cozy place with a warm feeling apparently somme of the servers waitresses are cold unprofessional rude and don't appreciate the work environment and different cultures individuals from different backgrounds with different color. Food coffee and soups are good. Pastry it's very good as well.

Today I bought my sister out for breakfast. This is my spot, or was. After I bought my sister out for breakfast to where I considered a favorite spot. Waitress took like 20 min to get our order, which was great. After we waited like 55 minutes for 2 sandwiches. I was confused tho bc the place was practically empty. The food was cold..my sister's simple sandwich came out the opposite of what she ordered. I was just thinking to myself. Great.. smh. Now I have to look for another breakfast spot somewhere else. I don't like to spend money where I'm going to feel upset inside. We sat outside. It was ok seating but too many bugs.

Excellent Irish coffee. Nice cozy establishment. The service is 5 star alone. Definitely recommend if you want to get away for a bite and drinks

Visiting the area for the weekend, I was ecstatic to eat authentic Irish Breakfasts! Seated quickly, staff was very friendly-setting us up with coffees right away (bonus! I was delighted to discover they had flavored coffee syrups ) We ordered two Irish Breakfasts & an Eggs Benedict-I was a bit dismayed they said the brown bread wouldn't be available for awhile-so I had to order rye bread- but later when I noticed they had just pulled out warm, fresh baked brown bread our waitress was nice enough to provide us some slices at no cost to eat. The Irish Breakfast was quite massive! Two pieces of sausage, black & white puddings, ham slices, eggs, potatoes (though I replaced mine with mushrooms), tomato slices, and toast. The taste immediately brought us back to memories of Ireland- the meats were crispy on the outside & melt in your mouth juicy on the inside- everything was well seasoned-very exceptional. I'm already craving more brown bread-and working on my friend grabbing loaves to bring in when she visits. I really wish we lived closer so I could make this a regular breakfast spot. They had a very expansive menu I would love the opportunity to explore. Delicious food & friendly, attentive staff-a very pleasant experience.

Just a real taste of Ireland over here on McLean Ave Yonkers. The food is excellent and the wait staff are just really nice.

Food was great. Last night was watching channel 12 news and they had a piece on the Irish coffee shop. I decided to go. Had a great time. The service was very friendly, had lots of food choices from classic Irish breakfast to full mid day meals and great soup and bakery goods. A must experience. Nice to connect with my Irish heritage. A must try. JTL

Food is decent, quality has never been an issue, but it's gone very expensive, for two people to eat a normal size breakfast and 2 coffees is the guts of $50, not including tip, I understand the cost of everything has gone up under the Biden administration, but still they could give the customers a bit of a break and still make a profit, I know this for a fact.

It's crazy to think of how long we have been living on McLean, that we first visited ICS, only a few months ago. I was craving a comfort food breakfast so we took the drive down. We were seated fairly quickly and despite having a stroller, they made space for us. The service was decent and the staff was very nice, checking on us occasionally. We were all happy with our food. I stuck with breakfast but the boys got lunch sandos. I would definitely go back.

A lovely spot for breakfast or lunch. I recommend the fish and chips, the Irish breakfast, and the sausage rolls. All staff are very welcoming and mostly from Ireland.

This place is always busy for good reason. The food is great, service exceptional, there are newspapers to read while you wait. The Breakfasts are huge, especially the full Irish Breakfast! The fish and chips aren't greasy. Crisp, hot, with good fries. The Shepherds pie is full of meat and vegetables with mashed potato topping that can feed two. I could make a meal out of the brown bread and butter the bring with Breakfast. It is family friendly with a friendly staff. 3/15/19 stopped for lunch while in Yonkers. Had to have the best fish and chips around.

Was rushed. So I left having 1/2 cup coffee. The waitress insisted on interrupting my 5min call insisting I must order now. Very unprofessional considering I've only been in the restaurant 10min. It's not a warm and friendly environment. Go somewhere else

This place is one of the best! All things good and Irish. The food is always fresh as is the coffee. Nice pretty smiles from the staff when you walk in. Great breakfasts, fish & chips and desserts. Plus the place is decorated very well.

More like a diner than a coffee shop, many choices including lots of interesting Irish entrees and vegetarian dishes. Pleasant service. Ate beet and egg salad wrap on whole wheat, french fries, coleslaw. Wasn't crazy about the coleslaw but the wrap was healthy and delicious, fries a large portion, ok. For some reason they have lots more dessert choices than it says on the menu, I noticed that as I was leaving, if I knew I would have ordered dessert too.

Just ordered from there this evening. Two burgers and a grilled cheese. The burgers had no taste to them and the burger bun was stale. Grilled cheese was soggy which my daughter had. I ordered from here six months ago and had a similar experience with fish and chips. The cod was full of bones and over cooked. I won't be ordering from here again.

You walk in welcomed by the smells of home cooked pot roast. The young women behind the counter are so pleasant and accomidating, you really feel welcomed . Our food was fabulous.!. what a gem! Im a foodie and I love to cook, but some days you just want to be welcomed like its your grandmas kitchen, and thats what it feels like. When you dont need gastronomy or truffles. Bright lights simple wood tables, families enjoying good food. I had grilled ckn w stuffing ham fries and turnips, my friend has the irish stew with mash. All was fabulous, felt like home and $40 bought two dinners (with left overs for lunch) with a 20% tip. I highly recommend.

This place has become debatably the best spot for a nice meal in Woodlawn. Order anything and you won't be disappointed. I usually go for the half soup half tuna deal or the lasagna. The most respectable thing about this place is not the lovely staff or great food but how they may be the only food spot on McLean or katonah not price gauging everything.

Ok so I have been a frequent customer of the Irish coffee shop on McLean Ave Yonkers since it has new management, I have no relation to anybody or no self interest to this coffee shop, except the fact that I am Irish. The new management in my opinion just seems to be doing everything right. Irish breakfast served with Irish brown soda bread and here is the best part served with Kerry gold Irish butter, those of you that have it before know how good it is, if you have never tried before it's worth going just for that, even with lunch or dinner order the soup and along comes the Irish bread with the Kerry gold butter you just can't go wrong, even better again have the bread toasted and let the butter melt in, it the best, and also they sell the loaf of the Irish bread not expensive, walk in to any of the Irish delis and pick up the the Kerry gold butter you can't go wrong Ok it's not all about the butter, I ordered the turkey and ham dinner veg, gravy etc ok in some places turkey looks good only to find bread under the turkey and ham ok let's be fair they weren't necessarily the best places I visited, but to the point the Irish coffee shop serves with a Beautiful cranberry stuffing underneath the turkey and ham it doesn't end there do you know how hard it is to find a restaurant or diner / coffee shop to serve real roasted potatoes trust me even here on McLean Ave that has a lot of Irish bars restaurants hard to find but yet this modest coffee shop has the best roast potatoes I have tasted in America so far, yes that's right in American, ok I don't get around a lot but just ask for roast potatoes in the next restaurant you visit and see who has them, I know a simple thing but hard to get I guess it's just more work in the kitchen Of course you have to mention the staff in my experience great service all the time, nice and welcoming, but you know the chef makes there job easier with the Quality of the food served. Covid times, from what I have observed all Covid rules in my visits are taken inside and outside it's a hard times for restaurants / coffee shops so support you local place, Again I know it doesn't sound like it but I have Absolutely NO self interest in the Irish Coffee Shop if you just try it out if only for the things I have mentioned above you won't be disappointed.

I love this place! It's always packed so you know your food is always fresh! The atmosphere is great! I am there a lot!! They always aim to please!! The owner Is so friendly he will talk to you and make you feel like family! Go you won't be disappointed.

ordered the full Irish breakfast. Sausages we're sour, eggs were hard(I ordered over easy) and home fries were boiled instead of grilled. Will not go back

Wow. Local crowd is tough, this place hit the spot and is a 5* joint. We went with the classics. Started with a brunch, went bar hopping and returned for dinner. Quality flavored food / grub without the extra oil or salt.

Place is amazing and staff are the best with the kids. Garlic cheese chips.... not on the menu and still heavenly. Everything came in good time and cooked to perfection. Lovely atmosphere with a proud taste of home.

I have eaten here a dozen times and I always have a good time!! I love the decor. The owner is lovely. The wait staff is good can get overwhelmed cause it does get crowded and I've been in their shoes when I was a waitress! The food is always good!! I highly recommend

The food is good, but unfortunately, the service is terrible. I have gone three times to give them a chance and they have disappointed every time. The servers are extremely rude, have an attitude, and the service is so slow. They could not care less about their customers. It's sad because the place is very cute, but unfortunately, I will not return.

Girls who waitress-ed that evening were very indifferent to us as customers. It felt like they were doing us a favor! We had to ask for bread with soup, paper napkins, etc..... Seemed like they were on another planet! You are in the customer service business ladies! And to make matters worse ..........even though we tipped generously particular waitress didn't even bother to say thank you. In Europe you only tip if its good service. Maybe we should do the same here. Regarding food..... bacon and cabbage looked like it was prepared much earlier in the day..... cabbage seemed like it got "microwaved" onto the plate. Generous portion of bacon...... 3 good pieces. Potatoes didn't taste fresh. Deserts were small portion..... and additional charges were added for spoonful of cream.... you could have let that go?

Review based on a take out order. How hard could it be, with the place only half full and 5 girls working the counter & tables? 15+ min. wait for 2 soups and a half a sandwich, no utensils, no napkins, no crackers or bread with the soup, food so-so. Nice gals, but they need some competition.

The manager was extremely rude. The fresh fruit was days old at best. The McLean Corner Cafe is just across the street and far better with food quality and service!

Waited 25 min for a sausage egg cheese. Got my sandwich and it was just sausage on a stale roll. The whole thing was terrible. I'm sure they have better Food but I'm not going back to take a chance.

I stopped by for lunch a few weeks ago, had a beyond burger and sweet potato fries. Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly and attentive, definitely will be back!

I was in the area for a visit to the Empire City casino. Rather than eat the crappy food at the casino, I decided to venture out. The Irish Coffee Shop is a small restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. We stopped in around 3pm for lunch. I was disappointed that they were out of Shepherd's pie. I had fish and chips. The fish was good, but it was just two thin pieces and the fries were nothing special. The chicken pot pie was good. Lady at the next table had the Irish breakfast, which looked pretty good. The place wasn't crowded but the service was a little inattentive. There were two, might I add very beautiful, Irish waitresses working but they weren't at our table too much. The coffee was very good, which is a good thing considering the name of the place. All in all was a bit disappointed.

I live in this area and this is my favorite place to go for a coffee, dessert and work for hours on end with a laptop. This is a great place for breakfast and the staff is very warm, kind, hardworking.

I have been ordering breakfast from them for the past 2 weeks and I have nothing but good things to say! The omelettes are always fresh and delicious, the coffee is great and the service from the girls behind the counter is wonderful. I will not go anywhere else for my breakfast. Amazing!!

Typical spot of mine for breakfast, best Irish breakfast in New York in my opinion being from Ireland. Very friendly staff here in particular orla always make me and my family very welcomed once we enter the door. Couldn't recommend more to anyone nearby

Popped in here because my usual haunt, Eileen's Country Kitchen was closed. Food was good, the server was pleasant, but the waitress... a pudgy young woman with frizzy hair, didn't look us in the eye while we ordered, seemed put out to wait on us and never checked in on us to see if we needed anything or if the food was okay. She spent more time chatting at the counter with a coworker! We had to ask the server for the check and she didn't even thank us or say goodbye. I only left a tip because I'm polite. Won't be back unless I see she's not on.

Love the Irish Coffee shop and have for years, their food is delicious and excellent quality, and everyone who works there is simply lovely. You can't go wrong whether you're ordering their Irish breakfasts, their dinners or sandwiches or their scones. Then I was lucky enough to try their red velvet cupcakes - the best cupcake ever! You're never going to go wrong eating there or taking out. Oh, and they make Brown Bread to go too.

The staff is nice and the food is trustworthy and good! It's a lovely simple spot for something quick and nice.

Service here is terrible.. my friends and I waited over 30 mins for our irish breakfasts and we were the only customers in the place!

Went here yesterday for breakfast, usually go to McLean corner! Prices are way too high for what you get! Food was ok but not spectacular, may try again but not for breakfast.
