For our last meal in Japan, we visited Iriya Plus Café for breakfast. Just a short walk from our Airbnb, the café served incredible made-to-order Japanese souffle pancakes: soft, fluffy, and delicious! The space had a cute, vintage vibe, with plenty of room for our family of five. And the staff was incredibly kind, wishing us a warm goodbye and giving our kids candy gummies as we left. It was the perfect choice to end our trip to this amazing country. Highly recommend!

A hidden gem with the best breakfasts in town! There was no line, which was a pleasant surprise. We had the pancakes and the toast with eggs — hands down the most delicious breakfast we had in Tokyo during our two-week stay. This place deserves a spot in every travel guide!

I was recommended this cafe by a friend. It was full upon arriving at 10:30 and I had to wait around 10min to be seated (I was by myself). I had the berry pancakes which were good and quite a big portion. It was 2000 yen incl. a drink. You have to plan a LOT of time when visiting. It is mentioned on the menu that pancakes take around 30min to prepare, which is fine. But it took 30min just for the waitress to take my order after I had been seated. There was even a family who had to leave without eating because it took so long and they needed to catch a train. At least they were not charged.

This is the best pancake I have had in my life. Do note that it is cash only and about ~2000¥ a pancake set so be prepared. You will be rewarded with a pancake so delicious it should be a National Treasure. The music selection sounded like the Earthbound soundtrack, which was kind of an interesting pick, which added to the atmosphere. But seriously these are THE pancakes.

Chill vintage vibes, simple menu, great coffee & yummy fluffy pancakes. I preferred the hummingbird over the choc banana. My 4yo loved looking through the books.

Iriya Plus Cafe is a great space. We came in at opening and the owner greeted us and let us know that her place is cash only in a pleasant way. The fluffy pancakes were delicious and the coffee was on point as well. I recommend this place to anyone looking for a good vibe and good food

Beautiful place! Not crowded, very heart warming. They spoke English with us because we didn’t know Japanese! All very kind. And the pancakes are delicious, not too sweet, just perfect! Thank you so much 🤍

Yelp
I have walked by this place a few times but never made it in. One time, they were shooting a TV drama and was closed all week. Another time, the line was way too long. I'm glad this time I made it into this charming place because the rain was not letting up. I can see why they filmed in here. The setting is compelling like a warm inviting home. Bookcases full of books, soft glowing lights, and old school decor makes me want to take a nap. Music is soothing and everyone is just softly chatting ... not trying to be melodramatic, this place is a nice retreat from the craziness of Tokyo. The menu items are like most cafes with plenty of hot & cold drinks, pancakes, other sweets, and pasta dishes. I had the special daily pasta mix which came with a capellini in veggies & meat sauce, small side salad, iced tea and a pancake - all for around ¥1,100. Food tasted good but nothing to get too excited about. The latte was delicious though. Highly recommend hopping in if in the area.

Yelp
Excellent. The waitress spoke great English and helped me order the cheese pancakes. Cheese pancakes, you ask? Yes, cheese pancakes. I haven't heard of such a thing, but they were delicious, especially with the raw honey they have for syrup. I also ordered the mocha breakfast smoothie, pretty tasty. The ambience is actually really great to get some work done, but there are no outlets as per usual in Japanese cafes. It's a great place to take kids, too, as they seem keen on exploring the decent book collection here. It's also close to the Iriya station, pretty convenient. This place seems popular with locals and tourists, alike. It's really charming and deserves great success. I definitely recommend stopping by and sampling the dessert menu, at the very least.

Yelp
One of the best cafe I have ever been to with regards to comfortability and relaxation. I came here for lunch and doing my own business on weekend. The lunch is sufficient (and yummy) enough to fill my stomach and the atmosphere is so perfect that I could make good progress in my own work. The 100-years-old wooden house is fully renovated for cafe use and all the furnitures, silverwares and kitchen goods are well-coordinated with this antique atmosphere. There are 2 more things I feel excellent about this cafe: 1. No smoking allowed 2. Free Wi-Fi available Good place for spending empty weekend afternoon (today was so busy for my own work, though).

Yelp
This place was AMAZING!! This is my first time visiting out of the country. I really wanted a cafe or breakfast spot to go to before my sisters and I traveled for the day. I had seen this spot on yelpand we decided we would eat here for dinner because it was in walking distance of our accommodations. Omgggg once we walked up and slid the door open it was the cutest little place we had ever seen!!! It was the most down to earth, welcoming, and calm place we had been. The waitress and kitchen staff were the sweetest people everrrr!!! Our food was delicious and to our surprise the waitress spoke English well so we didn't have too much trouble ordering. It was an overall heart warming experience and definitely a place everyone should visit if they ever in this area of Japan.
