The beer was amazing- such depth of flavor. I had fish tacos, which was SO good. My husband had the gumbo, and the strawberry goat cheese salad- both exceeded his expectations, my daughter had the raspberry pecan salad (a special at the time )- which was so fresh and lovely. The only disappointment was the pub burger that my son had, which would’ve been better if it was thicker meat- the hamburger lost all flavor under the pretzel bun. The waiter was attentive and helpful. Would definitely eat here again! The only comment is that it was really loud- not a place for intimate conversation.

We started off with the Everything Focaccia, served with chive butter, and it was surprisingly good! The combination of flavors was delightful, with the savory focaccia paired perfectly with the creamy, herb-infused butter. For drinks, I tried the Blackberry Lemon, which tasted fine on its own, but adding a squeeze of lemon really enhanced the flavor. My partner ordered the Peach Margarita, and it was amazing! It had the perfect balance of sweet and tangy, so good that I had to order one for myself! As for the food, my partner, a fan of fish tacos, said they were quite tasty. I went for the Chicken and Waffles. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The waffle was also good, although I added the butter and syrup which made it taste somewhat too sweet for me. The bartender was friendly and attentive. We arrived when the restaurant first opened and sat at the bar, and overall, we had a very pleasant experience.

Walked in and nobody greeted me so I had a seat at the bar. Bar tender was friendly I asked for a water and the brisket queso and a side strawberry salad. Food came quickly and was decent.

Made reservations to eat here for lunch after visiting the Delaware Children’s Museum. A party of 9 was accommodated by pushing tables together and a highchair booster fit on the end. The 1 o'clock hour on a Sunday was busy both at the bar and the tables. Offered a kid friendly menu. Had a selection of craft beers on tap plus wine and cocktails. Merchandise and beer are available for takeout. Food good, but browned a little too much on some items. Prices a little on the higher side, but the ingredients were fresh. Good location right off 95, but close to Route 2, Lancaster Pike, and Route 100. Nice to get a good meal close by from the Children’s Museum and near an IMAX threatre.

Came here tonight for a friends birthday. The food was phenomenal and the staff was super fast. I will say the one thing was their new pumpkin beer is absolutely atrocious. Without a doubt the worst pumpkin beer I’ve ever had in my life. I wait all year for this season to come around where everybody releases their limited edition pumpkin beers, but this was without a doubt, the worst tasting one ever. The food was incredible and their homemade root beer was delicious. So I’m still giving this five out of five stars incredible time just DON’T get the pumpkin beer.

Stopped here Saturday 4:50 pm for a light dinner. 25 minute wait. Once seated, my husband ordered the Brewben Sandwich and I ordered Tomato and Basil Pesto Burrata. Both were good. Service was OK - no follow up by the waitress.

I wish I wasn't full. The service with Caroline was awesome. She had great recommendations, that paired with my drink choices, attentive and refilled all drinks quickly. The atmosphere was nice, the location was clean. The brussel sprouts were fire. The bacon cheese bites were a little cold, probably wouldn't do those again. The fish and chips were breaded nicely, crisp not soggy the remoulade was outstanding. Very impressed. The beers were delicious. The pumpkin ale was like drinking fall in a glass for dessert.

Havent been here for awhile! Dropped by after enjoying the Christmas lights at the Riverwalk and grabbed our fave apps - wings and cheesesteak rolls! Tried the holiday sampler and loved the two dark ale!

Yelp
Great review to Taylor at iron hill brewery in Wilmington, Delaware she was so amazing. She brought out all of our food quickly as well as a special dessert for our birthday boy Luca, and a taste of a beer for us that we weren't even expecting literally the best server we have in a long time and especially at this restaurant, we want her to win we hear she is in the running and she needs too win

Rachel N.

Yelp
The vibe is exactly what you'd think it be like in a college town. Although when I went with friends, it wasn't as noisy ! I personally felt that the eggplant dish was too salty. I did not end up finishing that. The drinks were satisfying, especially the strawberry lemon drop if you're looking for a sweet drink! The nachos were the best part. 100% you must order the nachos if you come here. The scoops of guac and sour cream were genius. I do wish the nachos came out a little warmer though. The waiter was sweet. Food came out within 30 minutes. I would go here again for appetizers and drinks with some friends

Yelp
Nice spot for HH. Tons of seating available upstairs and downstairs, with bars on each floor too. Really good HH options. The house red wine is ok, not great. Tons of great beer options. The bartenders were friendly and helpful. Seating also available outside on an upper deck. During the day there's a beautiful view of the river. Perfect for a nice day.

Yelp
When my beloved local Iron Hill Brewery in Ardmore closed for good, I couldn't help but feel a serious void within the neighborhood. To compensate, I decided to visit a location that I hadn't been to before. So, I made plans to visit the Wilmington location when I was in the area, and it might have been my best Iron Hill experience ever! Iron Hill has always done a good job of having a brewery space that plays well to its environment, and with this one being right by the Delaware River docks it adds up to this one having a pristine outdoor area! but with the weather being a bit questionable we opted to dine within, and I appreciated it having dining spaces that were perfect for groups of all sizes and a huge center bar space. Even though I've been a King of the Hill member of the brewery for years, actually being able to show up during one of their King of the Hill nights was another first for me since it always happens during my First Friday arts crawling. But I might have to make it more of a regular occurrence since it led to their special pumpkin coffee beer being paired with a piece of local bread and apple butter. I also appreciated that they had a head brewer on hand to give tours, answer questions, and reminisce over the departed Ardmore location. For food, I enjoyed the cajun catfish and being able to enjoy another cup of their mushroom soup again. The start of Fall lead to me enjoying seasonal Oktoberfests and other brews inside a giant King of the Hill mug. but I was definitely impressed with the satisfying mix of IPAs, Belgian brews, lagers, stouts and then some!

Beth D.

Yelp
I attended a lunch meeting at Iron Hill. Was very impressed by the food and the service. The mushroom soup was amazing!

Becky K.

Yelp
Always love an opportunity to stop at Iron Hill on the riverfront! The service is always so friendly, the location is unbeatable, and the food and beer is outstanding. Strayed from my go-to (the BLT) and tried the Drunk Monk burger - it was delicious!

Yelp
Love this place! It's conveniently located near a bunch of hotels and the convention center. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 kids and came here on a Saturday during off hours. It was still busy though because of the dance convention going on. We had no problems whatsoever with our service or the speed of service and our waitress was super helpful and patient with us. It's a large open space with high ceilings and a mix of tables and booths. They also have outdoor seating in the warmer weather. We shared the Philly cheesesteak egg rolls and they were amazing. Some of the best I've ever had! They came out crispy and hot and cheesy on the inside . We also shared the Brussels sprouts. They were bangin! The nachos were my entree and they also were some of the bets I've ever had. Finally a place where you can get ground beef on your nachos! The nachos get high marks for presentation too. We were trying to decide between two beers and our waitress offered to give us a taste of each. I'm glad she did because I might have picked the wrong one if I went on written description alone. This was my second time here and I'll probably be back the next time I'm in the area!

Yelp
Food was mediocre, drinks were good but service was above and beyond. I ordered beer bread and calamari for appetizers which were winners. Calamari plate was crispy and nicely seasoned and bread was nice and soft. My parents and I both loved it and they were able to also bring out a side of the honey butter which is not a part of the beer bread. Main was the mediocre. Stir fry rice were still a bit hard and the steak on was also a bit tough. The burger was also a bit dry, the bun needed some toasting. Pizza was ok. Drinks were good. My dad really enjoyed the root beer. Service was really good despite it being so busy. The restaurant is also dog friendly, which is a plus in my book.

Stephanie G.

Yelp
My kiddo and I had a great experience here. We were able to walk from our hotel, which made it super convenient. There's ample parking, though. It's your standard pub/brewery, with a large bar space and TVs throughout. Plenty of tables, too. I started with the one sour on tap. It wasn't bad. Then we ordered mushrooms soup, strawberry salad, and the margherita pizza. It was all delicious, truly. The dressing on the salad was just right, and the soup warmed my soul. The pizza had the perfect cheese level. Service was great. Our server was on it. Highly recommend if you need standard fare that is yummy.

Yelp
This restaurant on the Wilmington riverfront is one of my favorites and I visit it frequently. The food and drinks are great and the atmosphere is fun. The food is consistently of high quality and the selection is good. The Garcia pizza with the cauliflower crust is one of my favorites. Mark is the best and my husband and I are always happy when he is our server. This is one of the best restaurants in Wilmington.

Rebecca M.

Yelp
The ambience is so nice and perfect for an evening out! They have a great beer and cocktail list we love trying new drinks every time. Their pub burger is the absolute best! The staff and waiters are all very polite and attentive. I highly recommend going here for a night out!

Irwin B.

Yelp
Server, Troy, is GREAT! Food is very good. The beer is excellent. A really good place. Again, server Troy, really added a lot to our visit.

Steve D.

Yelp
We returned to Iron Hill after being away for a year due to the decline in food quality. We had been a frequent visitor for years prior. On this visit we enjoyed the beer selection but not much else from the menu. The Schnitzel, which 2 of us ordered, was 2 small breaded pork patties drowned in gravy. The side of broccoli was tasteless and the ice cream scoop of mashed potatoes was luke warm. The chicken sandwich was not much better than kfc. Overall, not good enough for a return.

Sharika M.

Yelp
Lancaster has so many other spots that are better and use fresher ingredients. Food was mediocre. It was fairly empty around Sunday 2pm. The nachos are vegetarian and a good size to share with the table. The fish and chips came with a pretty good coleslaw. The steamed salmon with veggies is a cleaner option for those wanting something low caloric.

Jason S.

Yelp
Another great restaurant in walking distance to the ballpark and nearby hotels. Iron Hill is also large with lots of seating opportunities both inside and out. We ate at the bar as IH was very busy on Wednesday evening. Dinner was very good. We started with nachos. I'll give them 3/5 stars but the short rib stroganoff was outstanding 6/5 stars!!!! Of course IH has a large beer selection as a brewery. I tried the Philly Phavorite IPA which I thoroughly enjoyed 4/5 on untapped but the jewel of the evening was the Hipster 4.25/5. Be warned Hipster has a high alcohol content and it will sneak up on you. Service at the bar was ok. I Look forward to coming back!

Tim A.

Yelp
Read the fine print. Wait, there is none. Happened to visit for first time, and lean on on a promo - but learned in person we must be paid club members. Flag. Double good we were there at happy hour but was told in person some other rule. Red flag. No thanks.

Sandahl T.

Yelp
I've been to iron hill many times with my family. My most recent visit was on a warm summer night. We asked to be seated outside and got a nice table tucked to the side with a partial view of the river. We had the kiddos and my parents so it was perfect. I usually order the salmon burger which is healthy and tasty. I subbed a Ceasar side salad for the fries. They have a large beer selection and a full bar. Drinks are pretty standard but nothing special on the menu in terms of mixed drinks. I ordered a root beer which was good. The server checked on us a few times and brought extra things we asked for like napkins. The menu is large, and has entrees, burgers, apps, fish, and pizzas. It's great for groups, happy hour, dinner or desert! We ordered two deserts which were very good! One was ice cream, a chocolate brownie, chocolate sauce, Carmel sauce and whipped cream- so yummy! There is a changing table in the bathroom. They have a second floor and bar up there too. The outdoor deck seating is also nice with the river and walking path view. After dinner you can stroll on the river walk and take in the beautiful city and wildlife views. Highly recommend checking out the restaurant.

David M.

Yelp
The service was excellent. The food even better. Not sure why it is only a three and half star place. I got the sunrise sandwich. It came with a large piece of ham, a fired egg and lots of melted cheese. It also came with a side of home fried potatoes. My wife got the Philly cheese steak flat bread. Everything was delicious. Like any good brewery they have lots of quality beer selections. They also have homemade root beer which was very good. It was early afternoon on a Sunday and a lot of people were coming in.

Kate J.

Yelp
The food used to be good but over the last year or so it has been getting super expensive for a brewery. Not just typical price increases, it is far outpacing other similar spots. Two non-drinkers can't get out of there for less than $100 these days

Nicole F.

Yelp
Atmosphere and beer was good. I ordered the Fried chicken sandwich with the Korean bbq and pickled veggies for an additional $2 and it was underwhelming. There as barely any sauce on it and there were maybe 10 pickled carrot strings on it. It was dry and sad. I was expecting at least a handful of pickled veggies. And some sauce. My husband's meal looked fantastic. He got the stacked burger and it was loaded with flavors and items. Maybe check the items before sending them out of kitchen. The chicken sandwich was definitely not up to par.

Hobbs M.

Yelp
Loved your new Burrata appetizer - it was so good and the cheese melted in your mouth. Beers great as always tried some of your new seasonals our server suggested and even offered free samples. The music was great we had a good time and will be back later this month for a work dinner.

Tim O.

Yelp
Decent chain "coastal" restaurant with a satisfying menu and cheap drinks. $20 fish and chips better than Long John Silvers' but nothing to write home about.

Gwynedd D.

Yelp
Still reasonably good. Prices are now in the 18-20 range for entrees but the bar food and sandwiches come in a bit lower. I had a Reuben. It was very heavy on the corned beef, cut a bit thick for my tastes but well flavored. There could have been way more sauerkraut but I love sauerkraut more and most people....less. The dressing (Russian style) was too greasy for my tastes but it was a proper Reuben on marble rye and well made as far as they go. I couldn't even bite into it, too thick. If you like heavy thick Reubens with Russian dressing grilled you will love it. I took it apart and liked the corned beef well enough. The burgers ordered by my tablemates were very good-looking and they pronounced them "absolutely delicious." They were also hard to bite into; our foreign guest was perplexed how to manage it without dislocating his jaw like a boa constrictor. The sweet potato fries were a big hit. Perfectly cooked. We had some beer tastes. I'm not an IPA girl (it's pilsner all the way for me) but the Philly IPA had a grapefruit overtone I really liked. If you like IPA there are many to try and the samples are sufficient to really get a good mouthful and sense the flavors. There were many tables with parents and children. Nice as it's near the Children's Museum but can be a bit loud. So it's a family place despite beer being served. If you go early, as we did, plan on a family atmosphere. Nothing wrong with this, just so you know. If a healthily screaming 14 month old next to you, leaning out into the aisle and publicly expressing his deep frustration at the current geopolitical situation (I'm assuming that's why he was yelling, he really didn't say other than "waah") then go later. If you have kids you will be welcome, so hey we all can enjoy one way or another.

Brian L.

Yelp
Stood in foyer for 5 minutes before an employee appeared to seat us and the seven ahead. Food was good, service sporadic. Ambiance was pleasant along the river and the restaurant itself was very nice. Enjoyed the food. The chocolate brownie dessert was decadent.

Campbell L.

Yelp
Food was good for what it was. Not bad, but not extremely special. Service was SLOW and not attentive to waters, needs, etc. Waiter dropped food and took awhile to bring replacement and did not offer to comp or offer something while waiting. Ambiance on upstairs patio was great.

Erik R.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, great location, great time. I love the layout and simple decor of Iron Hill. Nothing pretentious, nothing stodgy or stuck up. Simple foods, with slight variations, and a great wide selection of Beers and Spirits.

Steve G.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere. Nice staff. Stick to the appetizers. Had the fish and chips. The fish was breaded nicely but had no flavor. The fries were soggy. The gumbo rice was undercooked.

Steve P.

Yelp
Sat with Haley. She's a cool cat... will be back... She took the time to walk me through the beer selection and ended with a flight. Oktoberfest paired with a phenomenal meal... just GREAT service.

Nate P.

Yelp
The bartender Brittany is a truly nice bartender and great at her job. Drinks come out fast, very polite and very personable to all the guests. Makes it a nice and relaxing experience

Chase M.

Yelp
Iron Hill on the Riverfront is amazing. I go there often with my daughter and the food is always top notch and consistent. The place is always packed but I've NEVER had a bad experience with service! From the food servers to bartenders, they're all so personable and friendly. Our favorite is Jess. She always recognizes us when we come in and takes the time to stop and chat and really makes us feel like family. 10/10 would recommend for a date night or just grabbing a drink with friends. Great service, great food and great ambiance!

Wesley K.

Yelp
Ilene, our server, is just plain awesome. We truly appreciate her interaction and service. And Amanda, who always greets us with a smile, is very appreciated. Excellent Customer Skills

Lori A.

Yelp
Newark DE location Here's a bad Yelp review reflecting your experience: 1/5 Stars My experience at Iron Hill Brewery in Newark DE was extremely disappointing. We were seated promptly, but that's where the good service ended. It took forever for us to get our food, while people who came in after us were served well before we even got our appetizers. When we politely brought this up to our server, they barely acknowledged the issue and made no effort to accommodate us or speed things up. We were given out check, we paid and no apology was given at all.

Lana S.

Yelp
Had to knock down a star or two for last Saturdays meal. I always liked the food here at iron hill. There are also decent beers but service was not that great. I made a reservation for 15 for my birthday dinner. I called two weeks in advance to give them a heads up. The guy on the phone said he put it in the system and I said cool. The day of we arrive at the designated time with majority of the party arriving. We went down to 10 people now and I told them we had a reservation for 6:30pm. Somehow they couldn't find my reservation at all. They also tried to make me feel stupid saying "oh are you sure you called THIS location?" I said yes. And showed my confirmation text I got for my reservation. Unfortunately their reservation text they sent didn't have location/time or link. There was more confusion but eventually they will like it's fine we will take your party. Like what's the point of making reservations ahead of time if they can't find it? And making the customer feel stupid. Eventually the hostess apologized (we waited for about 20 mins for the table to be ready) and we were lead upstairs to a table. Then we ordered food and didn't have utensils for awhile. Eventually we all got our food and drinks and settled in. Again food is decent but not the best for big groups it seems like.

C L.

Yelp
There are a number of solid restaurants on the Wilmington waterfront. Iron Hill is... fine. Not the worst, not the best. Great view with an outdoor balcony view of the riverwalk. Menu checks the boxes for a brewpub: dips, burgers, beers. For best results, stick with the pub fare and sandwiches, and avoid the entrees. Also, this place was understaffed when we went, so service was slow (but friendly).

Tim H.

Yelp
Far too many tables full of kids. Makes for an extremely loud, headache-inducing experience with all the shrieking. Kids running around like it's a McDonalds PlayPlace. Service also tends to be slow due to the large parties. And the disgusting messes on the floor by said families makes you not want to eat. Gave it two stars because the food and beer is good. But I'll never go to this location again.

Ron C.

Yelp
This is a very large venue with tons of parking and seating. The bar is gigantic and the service was great. Whether you're looking for beer, liquor, wine or food....this place has you covered.

Aubrey J.

Yelp
It's a neat place to meet with a friend for a beer or two, but I wouldn't come back again for the food. I ordered pizza and was a bit disappointed. You can get much better pizza elsewhere at a fraction of the price. It was a bit burnt on the underside with a very thin and way too hard crust. There were very limited options for vegetarians as well. I thought the service was fine and friendly enough, but I probably won't be back.

Dupa A.

Yelp
Ordered from Iron hill tonight. The coconut shrimp although tasted good were very small. The lettuce wedge was a complete embarrassment. I don't think this comes anywhere close to the description of lettuce wedge and if this is their interpretation it needs to come off the menu or find out the right way. The Philly cheesesteak rolls were really good. Lastly the Crusted salmon was awesome.

Sierra S.

Yelp
Ilene was amazing! Had such a great time with her. She was so attentive and helpful. The food was great too!

Christine G.

Yelp
Haven't been in a while and decided to bring my family for dinner had an amazing experience our server Danielle it was her first night working and she blew us away she was very attentive and knowledgeable and really made our experience great will definitely be back for more!!! Great work Danielle!

Jasmine T.

Yelp
Received my food it was still warm. Ordered the crab cakes which are undercooked. Potatoes that came with it were were undercooked as well. I wouldn't recommend this dish. Also ordered string beans that were steamed, no seasoning, just plain. If I was home I could season them.

Nehal A.

Yelp
Situated next to a Delaware Children Museum, the restaurant is in a old industrial brick style building, with their own brewery inside the building. The restaurant is spacious, lots of tables, and a large bar area. They have a pretty big menu, and a long list of beer and drinks too. We really liked their food. Jerk Shrimp had amazing mango sauce. Baja fish taco had giant pieces of fish. The steak was cooked excellent. Dishes take some time to arrive, depending on how busy they are. Service is decent. This a great place to eat, if you are visiting the Delaware Children Museum.

Deacon M.

Yelp
Pub burger was alright. The French fries were cold and very unsatisfying. The service was satisfactory but the ambiance was good with the doors up so you have a more waterfront experience.

Lilly B.

Yelp
Iron hill has a new happy hour menu and I was there for it! It's from 4-6 and features sliders, shareable, tacos, and pizzas. Did I mention $2 off any pour? The staff is excellent and knowledgeable so I love coming here! I tried a few of the HH sliders and was more impressed with the salmon slider which had wasabi aioli and pickled veggies. It was delicious! The black bean slider was kind of falling apart and wasn't very special. The nachos (not on HH) were massive and came with every topping that you could imagine! Very good but I recommend splitting with other people!

Asia D.

Yelp
We ate here and had a great experience. Our server, Jessica was great and gave reallly good recommendations. Shout out to Jessica fr!!!!! Did I say jessica? Jess was awesome

Brad M.

Yelp
The atmosphere was great. This was my first time for me and my friends. Jake was our server who was an absolute delight that recommended everyone in my party what to eat and also what in house beer to try and he absolutely hit the mark for me and everyone in my group. We had such a great experience with him that we will definitely be back again. The food was great and service was outstanding

Haley M.

Yelp
Great experience- upstairs outdoor bar 10/10, especially on a nice day! They also support all Philly sports. Go Phils

Jake C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner last night and everything was amazing. My server Meghan was so nice and gave excellent recommendations. Great beer selection as well.

Craig C.

Yelp
Had a wonderful server, one of the best black bean burgers and sweet potato fries I've ever had (were thick cut and not thin and overly fried) son ate cheeseburger in a few minutes and said it was great. Nice view of river.
