Ironworks Hotel, Beloit (Beloit, Wisconsin) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"There is an adage to never forget where you came from and the Ironworks Hotel is a living, breathing example of that. This boutique hotel set within a restored foundry from the late 1800s doesn’t just offer nods to its past, it celebrates it. The distinctive industrial-chic design is defined by exposed brick and warm wood, while iron details and custom furnishings lend a ruggedly handsome appeal in the rooms and suites. Hungry? There’s a popular steakhouse just off the lobby, plus a handful of area eateries just a few steps away." - Tablet Hotels

Google
Really this hotel should get a 4.5 rating, but that's not an option for me to grade at that level. But, the hotel has a very nice location on the river, and near restaurants, shops and just a short walk to the ballpark. We spent just one night there, but the rooms were impeccably clean and the beds were nice. Definitely worth a try if you're in or near Beloit! Thank you Ironworks!

Loved the Legacy Riverview Suite. Room was so spacious with a fireplace that divides the king size bed area from the living room area. Decorated so rustic and beautiful in a modern way. Would definitely stay again. Only drawback was one elevator for whole hotel and it would have been nice to have a microwave and fridge in room.

I have stayed here a few times now and the standard is always excellent.|This time my flight was delayed due to bad weather which meant I arrived at 01:25am!!! I was in a group with 4 others.||Night receptionist greeted us with compassion and soon got us checked in and in our way to our rooms and prioritized us over colleague requests being sent over the radio.||We soooooo appreciated this and was able to easily relax in the comfortable beds and drift off to sleep and get a great shower in the morning.

Absolutely amazing! My wife and I live in Beloit Wisconsin and just wanted to do a staycation for our wedding anniversary. We booked the legacy suite and made a reservation in the restaurant downstairs, Merrill and Houston’s. What an amazing time. We’ll definitely be coming back. The junior suites are a little smaller but they have a view of the river and a balcony so I think we’ll stay there next time just because my wife is curious about how many other room options there are here. The desk clerk was very kind and mentioned they have a heritage suite that has a soaking tub. Definitely will be trying that out as well. The food was amazing, the staff were amazing, and the room was awesome. 10 stars.

Might like this more than the Goodwin which is the hotel across the street from them. I would have given them five stars if not for a cleaning mix up (had to make our own bed our second night there). Seems like they started cleaning the room and then stopped before they really did anything. Love the feel of the place.

Google
This hotel was a delightful surprise. We never expected such an upscale and perfect accomodation in Beloit. Clearly recent developments along the river have been focused on revitalizing the area and this hotel is one of the crown jewels of that effort. It is well located to everything in the area and had fantastic decor. The beds and shower were perfect and the entire experience was a cut above average.

Google
Book the king room. I enjoyed the fact that I could walk to high-end or casual restaurants. Beloit is on the come-back trail. Wow! Zen Sushi rivals NOBU. Cross the walking bridge and goof-off! Pet friendly, great places to walk. Nice little spot to take a break and get spoiled.

Google
Reserved room for a wedding 10 months in advance to ensure having a room. Was called 3 days before wedding to be told that I have been moved to a much less desirable hotel chain. We are no longer staying with family because of the capricious nature of choosing who to cancel with NO CONSIDERATION given to when the reservation was made - as admitted by the hotel.

Yelp
Very nice hotel overall and in a great location as well. Rooms are well kept and the staff was very welcoming. Originally booked a 2 Queen riverside view room and was unknowingly upgraded to a king suite. It was a very nice room but I was staying with a friend so I actually requested to be downgraded to my original room choice and they were able to switch my room. I appreciated the thought though. Reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 was because the complimentary breakfast was a little underwhelming. For a nicer and more premium hotel like this I was hoping for a little more than just some muffins, fruit, and yogurt.

Yelp
Always have had a positive experience at this location. This is the original Geronimo Hotel, and is rustic so although not new you wouldn't know it by the looks of the property rooms and restaurant.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel on the river in downtown Beloit. Rooms are cozy and have fireplace that separated sleeping area and living area. Nice view of the river from the room. Hotel has bar and steak house on premises which is convenient. The food is very good and it's one of the nicer restaurants in town. If you have to be in Beloit, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Yelp
Lovely hotel, very clean and nicely decorated. We stayed 4 nights for a seminar. Staff were very pleasant and available if we needed something. I loved the bathtub in our suite, and the fireplace was a nice cozy touch. I was a bit disappointed that there was no microwave in our room, and the parking lot is quite small so get there early if you're attending an event because the lot fills up quickly. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance so once we parked we thankfully didn't have to move our truck and lose our parking spot. Overall this was a very comfortable place to stay!

Yelp
Rooms are clean and they have a steak house that made one of the best steaks of my life. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Very beautiful hotel but the staff truly don't care about the customer's experience. For as much as you pay, you would think you'd at least get butter for your dry muffins in the morning. Nothing to drink unless you want to pay or drink coffee. Restaurant was closed for even guests on New Year's Day which was also our wedding day at the hotel so we ended up having to eat at a bar in town because that's all that was open. Front desk staff not friendly. Just disappointed for such an expensive hotel. We had high hopes for our wedding day and it was not what we expected sadly.

Yelp
Amazingly beautiful campus and the rooms were so spacious and gorgeous. The staff could have been a little more friendly, but overall it was a great stay. Would recommend!!

Yelp
Modern/industrial chic design, large rooms, comfy bedding, fireplace, soft towels, "rainforest" shower, all the necessities and more. What else could you ask for in a hotel? We found ourselves in Beloit for a wedding and we were honestly expecting to stay in a standard hotel for a night and dread it. Yet, stumbling upon this hotel in Yelp I instantly grew excited. I splurged a bit for the Legacy Suite, as the rainforest shower with pebbled floors called for me. Online reservations were a breeze, as was checking in when we arrived although we were early. Thankfully our room was ready for us before the standard check-in time, as we needed to get changed for the wedding. Best of all, they offered us complimentary glasses of champagne. What an unexpected treat. Walking into the room we had a long industrial desk that was home to the coffee machine (K-Cups), mini-fridge/mini-bar, wines with cork screw, work space, USB outlets and more. The other side was home to a large closet with storage built in, as well as the safe and microwave. At the end of the room was the living room with a super comfy leather pullout couch and chair, facing a wood wall with gas fireplace and TV above. Behind that wall was the king bed, with a view of the fireplace and another TV above. Outlets near the bed had USB plugs. One of the walls of the bedroom is fogged glass, with the rainforest shower on the other side. The bathroom is huge, with a massive wood counter, free to use and comfy robes, super soft towels, and the mystical rainforest shower with black pebbled floors. Unfortunately there was a stain on our sheets (I think just leftover detergent), so on our way out to the wedding we let them know. Staff apologized, said that should have never occurred and swiftly changed the entire bedding and left a hand-written note. On our return from the wedding we finally got to checkout the rainforest shower. Oh my was it relaxing... water from above and a mounted wand from the side. I could have stayed in there all night. A unique highlight of the shower was actually the bar soap they provided. The bar soap had shavings of oak and flecks of pepper, which made for the most relaxing and exfoliating sensation. Honestly, the only thing missing from the bathroom would have been a heater, as it took sometime for the large bathroom to warm from the shower. The only other criticisms I'd have for the room is that it would have been nice to have some room in the mini-fridge/mini bar to put some of our own items in it. In the morning, I stopped down by the front desk and grabbed some complimentary baked good from a local bakery and decent coffee. It was a perfect holdover as we took advantage of the wonderfully late checkout. Who would of thought hotel perfection could be found in Beloit?!

Yelp
Don't think I have been there was looking for a nice place in Beloit this was top rated for such a small town But ok

Yelp
Bait and switch. Gave away my king ADA suite after I reserved 10 weeks earlier. Given standard queen. No explanation or attempt to rectify. Would leave but in from out of state for family wedding. No staff tips and lots of negative reviews forthcoming.

Yelp
Ironworks Hotel is amazing. The whole hotel, top to bottom, inside and outside, has been redone in this industrial theme, riffing on Beloit's history. Cool fittings, every surface looks great. Even the luggage carts are industrial. The room was beautiful, and we got a suite, which is all one room but divided by a two-sided fireplace. Nice king bed and a fold-out couch. All sorts of amenities in the room. It could use more of a kitchenette- there is refrigerator, but it's a fully stocked minibar fridge, so there's not a lot of room left. And it could use a microwave. But, that's really just a minor issue. The view along the river is spectacular. The fittings in the room are cool. The bathroom is large, and there's a walk-in glass shower with a rain shower head. It's just great all around. Dog-friendly, too, which is nice.  Right in the heart of downtown Beloit. Very cool, a little pricey, but well worth it for what it is. And we loved it so much we stayed an extra night.

Yelp
Hubby now wants to decorate our next home just like this hotel. Lots of dark wood, steel, Edison style bulbs to give a warm, rich atmosphere. There is a scent that you can smell when you are in the lobby and getting into the elevator on the different floors, very earthy, masculine. As is the toiletry selection, which was nice. Pups are welcome, as witnessed by the water bowls in the entryway along with the names of the pups in-house each day. The rooms and the hotel did not have any doggy odor though, or signs that dogs were even there. The staff were super friendly and helpful, offering a welcome glass of champagne or a water upon arrival. The room was just HUGE. We were in the heritage suite. It had a king sized bed, with a double-sided fireplace between the sitting area and bedroom. Sitting area contained a leather couch and industrial coffee table, on one side flanked by a long work-surface. There was a mini fridge, but was mostly full of things they sell. The contents were very reasonably priced, surprisingly!! About $2 for water/pop, $5 for mini booze and $2 for most snacks. Not bad at all. The shower was super cool, with only a shower and built-in seat, rainfall showerhead and hand-head sprayer. Off to the side of the bedroom area was a huge soaking tub, with a hand-held sprayer. They even provide bath salts, a small sponge loofah to assist with your bathing pleasure. Bed was comfy and had reading lights on each side. Breakfast was pre-packaged scones or muffins, oatmeal and yogurt. This hotel was just beautiful. It was one of the nicest we have stayed out, with ample space for just hanging out in the room. It was right next to a river, with a walk-way off the back of it. A bit expensive for the room, but nice for special occasions.

Yelp
I was surprised with the price of this hotel compared with what you receive for your money. We did have a large room with a fireplace and a nice view. Your money is going to the decor not anything else. The grab and go breakfast was muffins wrapped in plastic and coffee which they had no cups for. They had nothing for non coffee drinkers. Not even a couple of bottles of water. I recently stayed at a Hilton. We had a 2 bedroom, 2 bath suite with a full hot breakfast, hot coffee and hot apple cider available in the lobby until 10 p.m. every night and they had cups available for both. We received complimentary bottles of water and a couple of bottles of water in the room. Ironworks charges $4 for a bottle of water. We paid 1/2 the price per night at the Hilton. You pay more to get less at Ironworks. In addition, the staff at the Hilton was far friendlier and professional than at Ironworks.

Yelp
We stayed her for a wedding nearby and supposedly booked through a block of rooms. Beautiful hotel but staff is underwhelming. Not friendly at all on check in. We were not granted a block rate and actually believed we were overcharged; however, hotel staff is avoiding my questions and says I actually booked through a 3rd party site (Expedia). Breakfast food was limited but good, coffee machine is highly inefficient brewing one cup at a time leading to long wait times. Way overpriced for underwhelming service.

Yelp
Everyone is so kind and welcoming. We love it here! They definitely take the extra step to make you feel special. We came to celebrate our 6th anniversary (iron) at the Ironworks hotel. We were greeted with complimentary valet service and two glasses of complimentary champagne and a box of locally made chocolates. We stayed in the heritage suite and it is beautiful! We dined at Merrill & Houston's -it was delicious. And now we are settling down next to the fireplace and looking at the river. We love it here!

Yelp
When you travel frequently for work, it takes a hotel that's above and beyond to move the needle. The Ironworks Hotel is certainly above and beyond what I expected when traveling to Beloit. The highlight of this establishment are the rooms. Between the fireplace, large leather couches, and heavy wooden/iron furniture, you are quickly detached from the usual feel of a cold and sterile hotel. I'd highly recommend the legacy suites with a river view balcony/waterfall shower. Great staff, excellent restaurant, and a clear focus on the finer details of the hospitality business. I will sacrifice my hunt for hotel points to stay at this fine establishment every time - highly recommended to anyone.

Yelp
We were looking for a venue in the area that wasn't a run of the mill commuter hotel. The staff was gracious, the room lovely, and dinner in the hotel restaurant was excellent. The hotel is easy walking distance to the high street in Beloit. Highly recommended!

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at this hotel last night. I was not impressed. I looked forward to a nice romantic night. It was a horrible hotel with hard beds, rude staff and construction noise. Not to mention the horrible LOUD neibers . Do not stay here!
google avatar

Niko V.

Yelp
Never again. I'm a bigger guy and the elevator took FOREVER to get to my floor. 2. A wedding was going on and I guess the security called the cops on the Groom because he was playing loud music and disturbing others ? Wasn't disturbing my family. It was 10pm on a Saturday and the man just paid to have his wedding venue here and that's how they treat him!!! Rather sleep on the street after watching that unfold! Too bad I have to give this place even 1 star. I'd give them NONE.

Yelp
I stayed at this hotel this past weekend and found it to be a wonderful charming hotel. From the decor to the attention to detail in the room and through out the hotel, it was all done to perfection. The only little draw back was that I am not a coffee drinker. They have very nice coffee makers in the room and I would have liked if they offer hot chocolate as well. When I asked at the front desk, they apologized and directed me to a local merchant very close by where I got my hot chocolate fix. I recommend this hotel whenever in Beloit. A little pricey for a poor guy like me but if you look online, hopefully you can find a nice discount for the room. I found a Groupon and saved 50% on my room and I was very happy to have had the opportunity to stay there verses the chain hotels that don't offer anything out of the ordinary. Ironworks Hotel has CHARM!!!
google avatar

Yelp
The decor in Ironworks Hotel is all wood, stone and metal and is absolutely beautiful - there truly is a 'Wow' factor when you walk in. Everything was clean and beautiful and I really enjoyed walking around the lobby to look at the décor. We loved our room... the open floor look only broken up by the fireplace was perfect. We opted to walk in town for something to eat (bushel & peck's local market) but did go to the hotel's restaurant "Merrill and Houston's" and sat at the bar for a drink. Great service. It looks like a wonderful restaurant. We did stay on a night that was chilly and really enjoyed the fireplace. While my husband watched the hockey game, I had a soak in the tub and loved the bath salts and loofa pad that was in the rack in the tub. They have lovely robes at the ready and are available for purchase. There is a flat screen tv on either side of the fireplace so while my hubby finished his game, I could actually catch up on the news while lying in bed. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows... we both slept really well.

Yelp
This is by far the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. I splurged and booked a room here for a weekend getaway with my husband. Worth every penny. I selected the Wisconsin Brew package which included a meat and cheese platter, New Glarus beers and a gift card to Lucy's Burger Bar. Every detail of the room decor is perfect --- cozy fireplace, strategically placed televisions, in-room bathtub, and tasteful rustic modern decor. I wish I could live at the hotel. We will definitely be back for a special occasion in the future.

Yelp
I stopped in here for a night while driving up from Kentucky for the final move to Minneapolis. We swung in on a dime around 9:45 hoping to make it in time to order room service. Luckily we got there just in time to order room service from the steak restaurant downstairs. The food was excellent and very reasonably priced. But the real star of the place is the hotel room itself. I picked this place because I wanted something that allowed pets but was better than a Hampton Inn...something that the kids might remember of their move to the frozen north. This place delivers. The room was huge with a king bed and pull out leather couch separated by a see-thru 2-sided gas fireplace. The bathroom had a huge walk-in tiled shower with a rainfall head. The view was overlooking the little river that runs behind the hotel past an old steel fabricator on the opposite side where there are large murals on the old brick walls. My only gripe is that the people serving breakfast in the same restaurant were disorganized and had what appeared to be no training. They forgot order an order then didn't bring everything that comes with the order and when questioned about what the kitchen can make for kids, the servers didn't know nor did they seem inclined to ask. And they were defensive to the point of abrasive when asked if we could get the rest of the order. The table next to me had similar issues and we all were eager to end the pain of the experience. -- However it must be said that these appeared to be high school kids that just needed a lot of training. And the food that was prepared from the menu was very good. I would definitely stay here again if I ever drive through Beloit. High class, pet friendly and with its own in-house 4-star restaurant...what more could you need?

Yelp
I stay at hotels about 200 nights a year. I'm normally a bigger chain guy: Marriott or Starwood. I stayed at the Ironworks for a Beloit College reunion this past weekend. I love this hotel. The rooms are amazing and the service was wonderful. My wife actually commented that it might have been her favorite hotel room ever. What a gem. I will stay here any time I go back to Beloit.

Yelp
I wanted to take off a star because of the perfume they spray at the entry and in front of each elevator landing but I didn't. I asked about it and they say it's their "signature scent" Every time I walked in, I thought I was behind a 70 year old woman that liberally poured on some horrible perfume. Enough about that. The furniture and finish outs in this place are beautiful and consistent with the theme. The rooms are gorgeous. Try to get one on the water side. They have the charm of a boutique hotel combined with the service of large chain. You can walk to plenty of restaurants in town or eat at the one connected to the lobby.

Yelp
I am normally a "Hilton" guy, but I was meeting a client in Beloit at Merrill & Houstons which is attached to the Ironworks so I made a reservation here. I'm glad I did. Everything from cradle to grave was easy peazy. I made reservation with what seems like an outside agency but no issue there it was smooth and painless. When I arrived I was a bit taken aback since it looked very old and I thought that the rooms would be old and dated as well. I was wrong. The lobby is decorated in modern wood finish with a "steelworkers" motif, they have lots of tasteful, décor which included old ironworking tools and things of that nature. The lady at the front desk was pleasant and the check in process was painless. My room was great. Again, I'm used to the Hilton family so that is my comparison. The beds were super comfortable with awesome pillows. They had the duvet style blankets that everyone has. The lighting was interesting and the light right inside the door was like a glowing orange light with a dimmer which was a nice touch. They had 2 reading lights over each bed and what every hotel needs, plenty of outlets for chargers (YAY!). The bathroom had those "bowl" type sinks which I think are just plain classy. They had HUGE towels which is a nice change for me. The shower was simply put awesome. They have one of those rain showerheads AND a massage wand type head. There wasn't a way that I saw to turn just one on so what the hell.....I had both and was in heaven. Now, with all the water I used and the length of time I spent in the shower I fully expected the Water Conservation Society to pay me a visit. I say "bring it" treehuggers it was the most relaxing shower!!! With every upside there must be a downside right? Well sure...but nothing that was a huge deal. They're still doing construction on the 4th floor, and I was on the 3rd floor and it sounded like they were bowling in the morning which is distracting. The breakfast buffet in the restaurant next door is $10.00 extra which is included in a Hampton. It wasn't that great and think they should just included it in the price of the room. The rate for my stay was like $125 which is VERY reasonable. I think they have upgrades in room styles so that may work better for you. This will be my go to place when I come back to Beloit.

Yelp
One of the best hotels I've been to in a very long time. Very courteous. The rooms and building has an unique charm. Very relaxing.

Yelp
My cousin was getting married and my Aunt chose this place for the wedding party and out of town guests to stay. What a beautiful hotel. Located in Beloit, WI, right on the Rock River, this has to be one of the nicest hotels I have stayed at. I absolutely loved our room which was the Legacy Suite. It had a super comfortable king sized bed, a sleeper sofa, two tables, a fireplace and two flat screen tv's. There was also a minibar, keurig machine, and a refrigerator. The bathroom was large with modern bowl sinks, and had a large walk in rainshower. That was heavenly my friends. I hadn't slept good the night before, and I slept like a baby in what can only be described as the most comfortable bed in the whole world. We had the rehearsal dinner at the restaurant downstairs and the meal was outstanding. Filet mignon with mashed potatoes, salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert. Everything was so good. The employees were very friendly as well. My cousin did have an incident with one of them though, when she was outside smoking her vape pen, one of the employees confronted her in front of everyone and told her she can't smoke that. You know, vaping is super popular in Vegas and California, and we were outside so we really couldn't understand what the big deal was. The lady said that is was bothering other guests. It was just the way she said it was rude, and the fact that she embarrassed her in front of everyone. She definitely could have handled the situation differently and pulled my cousin to the side and asked her privately not to smoke that. If you are in this are and need a place to stay, I do recommend this hotel.

Yelp
After this was remodeled from the old Beloit Inn and the Cafe Belwah replaced with Merrill & Houstons this is one high class establishment and helps elevate the downtown area of Beloit. The rooms are so well done and have an amazing combination of industrial and comfort that it's almost like HGTV designed them. My favorite part about the room we stayed in was the fireplace with the tvs on both sides. They were a little light on the breakfast options in the morning, but I think they were just starting to offer that. Dinners, those are impeccable and delicious with everything being very well seasoned.

Yelp
Absolute gem of a hotel nestled right in Beloit. Spacious, clean, luxurious rooms with nice amenities (robes, mini bars, snacks, Aveda spa products)- made me sad I was only here for one night for work. But I can promise this will be my go-to spot every time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Attended a wedding here recently and the room supremely surpassed our expectations. The rooms are what rich people's bedrooms look like! Elevator is kind of slow so grab a coffee while you wait. If definitely return here in the future

Yelp
Ironworks was an incredible place to have our ceremony & reception. We heard all through the night and in following how days how beautiful everything was and how people were excited to return for their own personal events or celebrations. Tanya was exceptional in the weeks leading up to the wedding. Both the hotel and Tanya reached out to me to check in prior to the event even after being patient with virtual meetings, phone calls and email threads (mostly related to covid concerns). The day of ran incredibly smoothly and the staff at Ironworks were incredibly professional and efficient. I very much recommend Ironworks for any future events/weddings you may have! The hotel itself was also wonderful. We had friends and family stay at the hotel and everyone was happy with the amenities provided.

Yelp
Best birthday ever! This was the nicest experiences I have had in a long time! Staff is very helpful and polite. The room was big, beautiful, and CLEAN! Plenty of big fluffy towels & 2 bathrobes 2 flat screens and a leather couch. Seriously prepare to relax! There is a stocked fridge so if you bring your own snacks/beverages bring a small cooler or insulated bag, there is no room in the fridge. For example if you buy cheese like we did because thats what you do when you go to Wisconsin there is an ice machine on every floor so maybe bring a ziplock for ice. We did try the steak house on site, steak was excellent and again staff was so nice. I would recommend asking for regular "non" fried diner rolls and the baked potato. Also make a reservation for the restaurant. I do recommend looking through the black iron work binder on the coffee table in there was a place we ordered breakfast from called Bagels & more. Free delivery and the food was Awesome, huge portion and very affordable ! We both were very comfortable and I will be going back to take my husband for his birthday! Thank you Iron work staff it was truly a wonderful stay!

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary in one of the Heritage Suites. Overall, this is an upscale hotel that has a unique ironworks theme throughout and feels comfortable and modern. We really loved the room layout with the fireplace, seating area, large windows, and soaker tub. The bathroom is a nice size with a rainfall shower. The bed was comfortable and the blackout shades completely shut out the city lights. The breakfast to-go items were of high quality along with complementary coffee and tea. There are a few glitches to this being a "luxury" hotel. Our check-in process could have gone better. We waited in line for 10 minutes because there was only one staff person completing check-ins. It turned out the room fireplace is on a timer that ticks the entire time a fire is on. It's loud enough to be unpleasant and distracting. There needs to be more soundproofing for the rooms, especially one that costs $300/night. We could hear people and tvs in nearby rooms consistently. Anytime someone walked by, it was noisy. When we packed up to leave, I went to the lobby to get a luggage cart. Unfortunately, the housekeeping staff were also on the move and had commandeered the only elevator. The elevator would come to the lobby full of housekeeping carts and staff over and over. After quite a wait, I was able to finally return to our room. This was frustrating and should not have happened. I travel a lot for work and pleasure and based on comparisons, this is a very pleasant hotel and room that is worth staying at but has some glitches that make it more "semi luxury" than how it's marketed and our suite was overpriced. That being said, it's likely the best place to stay in town, well located, and we enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
Noisy staff and poor security lessen the ranking. As others have reviewed, nice rooms and facilities but that should be expected for 179 per night plus taxes and fees. Restaurant was excellent. See separate review

Yelp
This place is beautiful! The front desk staff are very helpful and attentive! The rooms are very clean. Beds and pillows feel like you are sleeping on a cloud! Can't wait to stay here again!

Yelp
I used to own a business in Beloit years ago and have not been back in 14 years. We had a wedding to go to and we quickly decided Ironworks was the place to stay. Clean, comfortable, industrial-look hotel. We thought it was great. Great location by "downtown." It's a small downtown but they have improved alot since I was here last. The hotel staff was friendly each time I called as well as at check-in. The river view room was a nice upgrade. The local philanthropist (Mrs. Hendricks) has done a great job of rebuilding a once beaten-down Beloit into a very nice little town once again. Ironworks hotel is a feather in her cap as it is the nicest hotel in the area.

Yelp
What a gem! From the outside you don't know what to expect, but upon entering the recently renovated hotel you are immediately drawn in by the uniqueness of the decoration and general style. It is small, only 40 rooms I think, but handled our business meeting of 18 over 2 days with no problem. Great food, great staff. Would highly recommend!

Yelp
We stayed here for a weekend trip away from Chicago and didn't want to leave the hotel! The decor and quality of the rooms was amazing. The fireplace and layout of the suite was fantastic. The staff were incredibly nice, they hotel allows pets so we brought our dog and they had a dog bag with treats for us. We also had room service from the restaurant downstairs and it was terrific and arrived quickly. I seriously can't say enough about how nice the place was.

Yelp
Bed bugs!!! I've stayed at many hotels and never ran into bedbugs. this was horrible! The staff was very rude and would not give me a refund. The only good thing about this hotel was the steakhouse

Yelp
I was in Beloit for a wedding that was hosted at the Ironworks Hotel and stayed the end as well. We were able to check-in and go to our room early, woohoo! The staff was very nice and friendly to work with during our stay. To my understanding, the hotel was completely redone recently- and it looks awesome! The rooms were spotless and very trendy while fitting in with the Ironworks theme. Check-out was noon, which is a bit later than some hotels I've stayed at so it was nice that we didn't have to rush in the morning. We were very pleased with the staff, our room, and the seamlessness of the wedding! Will recommend it to anyone stopping in Beloit.

Yelp
One if the better hotels I stay at around the country. Definitely worth the suite upgrade. Make sure you got a river view room.

Yelp
We rented a block of rooms here for here for our wedding in September of 2015 and we did not regret it! I have been in my fair share of hotels and I would have to say the room at Ironworks was one of the best rooms I have ever stayed in (I got the king suite). The room was spacious and included a couch, double sided fireplace, flatscreen tv, and walk in shower with a rainfall shower head. The decor was industrial/rustic, a very unique and cool look. All of my wedding guest that I spoke to loved the hotel! The breakfast was awesome as well. Overall, the hotel is excellent. I would not have expected to find a hotel like this in Beloit, WI. A little pricey for the location but well worth it. I would highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
Where can you go have the hotel manager marry you at 3pm and then by 10pm call the cops on the groom for being loud on his wedding day. Pet friendly hotel, yet they leave you nasty voicemails if your dogs bark. Elevator must be run by a guy on a bicycle in the basement because it is the worlds slowest elevator. Wanna take the stairs instead? Yea you're going to have to walk outside to get to them. They are not accessible through the lobby or first floor for that matter.

Yelp
What a hidden Gem in the middle of Beloit. Who knew. The iron worlds theme works in a sophisticated fashion. Don't settle for the chains while in Beloit.

Yelp
I had the best sleep I've ever had in a hotel at the Ironworks. The interesting design, maximized location, and lovely staff is amazing, but expected of a highly rated boutique hotel -- even if it's a hidden gem in a quiet town. What really stood out to me, however, was the sturdiness of the building. Even in the most stylish hotels in big cities, you can hear everything through the walls. Not here. I was literally the final booking in the hotel during my stay due to a conference, and I didn't hear any hustle or bustle at all through the night. Just slept like a baby! As well, the senior staff is really willing to go above and beyond for their guests. I booked through a third-party service and they couldn't find my reservation (the last available room for the night!), so the staff manager stepped in and made it happen within 15 minutes. There are a couple of cons. Little things. My sheets smelled like they spent a day forgotten in the washer. The english muffin I ordered for breakfast came un-toasted and without butter. My hand towel had a couple weird stains on it. But all in all, if you're going to be in Beloit, you should 120% stay at the Ironworks Hotel.
