Irori Dining Mikuni (Tajima Beef Restaurant)

Very attentive waiter, no wait time, and amazing food. Definitely a great way to clean your palate from eating Japanese seafood all the time. The Tajima beef served in variety ways make the experience more interesting and unique.

Was excited to try Tajima Beef because I heard how it's local delicacy. Was grateful they were open on New Years Day because so many places were closed that we didn't know where to eat for lunch. Customer service was kind and offered me a blanket since I was wearing white and they didn't want me to get dirty. Atmosphere felt elegant and refined with wood detailing. I was able to get front seat at counter and watch chefs cook. On to the food, it was pricy but Tajima beef is high grade beef so expected for price point. We ordered a set with tenderloin and beef was so tender and delicious. The meat melted in my mouth and was the perfect amount that I felt full and satisfied. If you are in area give this place to try as they take walk ins and you wont be disappointed.

We ordered the Tajima Steak Course and all the dishes were delicious. Loved all the different ways they cooked the tajima beef. The lean cut steak was still super tender and had a delicious flavour. Would definitely eat here again!

A lovely space. Very peaceful and a pleasant atmosphere, as the chefs quietly work away. Excellent beef, lovely local beer and some tasty curry! I’m not a massive fan of miso soup (perfect for dining out in Japan, right?) and even I really liked the soup in the set meal. Now to go dream of curry with a soak in the onsen.

We are staying in the hotel and got in later than we’d like but was able to get a table and order the sukiyaki meal. They were diligent with explaining it and even showing us how it should be cooked. Lovely presentation.

We ordered the 5 course "C" meal. The presentation was excellent and the server was also excellent. The food had great taste and the 2 types of steak were so tender and had fantastic flavor.

We arrived before a mid-day closure. They managed to seat us and have the food prepared quickly. It was served hot and was delicious. We enjoyed Tajima beef on rice with salad and soup. It was a satisfying lunch for a big eater, like me.

Accepts credit card 🤗💪👍🙆 We looked at the menu, and decided to get the 3 kinds of assortment meats. They're all lean meat, just different cuts. We added the beef garlic rice, phenomenal. And in the end, we added a Loin meat. It's very nicely marbled. I don't even know how fatty it would be if you were to get Tender Loin. So, I think Loin is enough. On the plus side, they give you a fresh wasabi stick. You grate it yourself. Really fantastic. Overall, great experience and food. Most importantly, you don't come out smelling like smoke. Their air vent is around the grill like what Gyukaku chain is doing.
