Its a tiny lake that flows backwards into two different oceans. How cool is that?!

Half as Interesting brought me here to learn more about the Continental Divide. A new place to visit and understand its reason for existing.

Not really much to do here. But a nice visit to stop by and take a few photos along the continental divide at one of the highest points of the Yellowstone. You can also learn a few lessons of geography. I truly learned what the continental divide means here :).

Pleasant pull-off by a lily pad lake that crosses the continental divide. We drove by this on the way to Old Faithful and decided to stop and eat lunch at one of the 2 pull-offs by this lake. It is a very small lake that crosses the continental divide. It has a road running through it but I thought it was pleasant and is the only place in the park that I had seen a tranquil lake (albeit small) with lily pads. A very pleasant place to stop.

Beautiful location no matter the time of year.

One of the few lakes in the world which drains into two different oceans, because it straddles the continental divide!

The only natural lake to drain into both the Pacific (from the East side) and Atlantic (from the West).

This spot will forever hold a special place in my heart, resting in peace in a beautiful place mom.
