Isaac Theatre Royal

Last night Royal New Zealand ballet presents Firebird with my Brilliant careers. The ballet dancers dance beautiful and haven't been to the theatre 🎭 for long time since last I watch ballet when I was a teenager. Amazing ballet and nice theatre 🐦‍🔥🩰

The most amazing experience at Blood Brothers 4pm Show on Sunday., the show was outstanding. Over and above that, was the extra attention given to me by a lovely usher , having very recently had a foot fracture and I was in a moonboot with crutches. Thank you Maggie for popping my crutches away under my seat for me and getting me a small pillow to put my leg on and also coming back at half time to say you had tried unsuccessfully to find me another seat so that I could put my foot up more comfortably. Your kindness was very much appreciated.

Truly a beautiful building, really worth taking a look around after your event. It has some regal views and the dome up top is genuinely quite elegant. The only downside is that the seating area is fairly tight / small,but that's quite typical for classical theatres.

Always a delight to visit this venue. Maybe the doors tobthe theatre could be opened earlier so not enough seats in the foyer. Especially when my elderly mum has to stand...

It was my first time to pay a visit to Isaac Theatre Royal for the Dracula Ballet Premier. I enjoyed everything - the setting, beautiful interior and good facilities, customer service excellence, not to mention that I am a ballet enthusiast and was very pleased that the Dracula came to Christchurch as part of their world tour. Five stars, highly recommended.

Isaac is the iconic highlight of the city! Both exterior and interior are unique Edwardian style, rebuild completely after earthquake. The atmosphere inside is just great with close to the stage creating unique bond between performers and spectators. We have visited multiple times for various events, concerts and plays and it never disappoints. Staff is super helpful and friendly offering fantastic service from the moment you step through the doors. Only improvement will be if seats were more comfortable and the design of seats is not the best as if someone tall sits in front of you it will block the view, but you can still manage for 2 hours.

A lovely old Theatre. It is a pity the seating isn't in between the row in front. I went to Blood Brothers Sun and couldn't see the stage at all. Only by bobbing between heads in front did I get a viewing at times. For $75 the show was worth it but viewing was not.
