I had an amazing experience with this place. First off, when you walk in the smell hits your nose and instantly makes you hungry. Even if you're not, everything is laid out very nicely. Very attractively and makes you want to buy pretty much one of everything. I went with a ham and baked quiche and a sausage egg and cheese croissant and I must say top notch. The sausage, egg and cheese on a croissant might be the best one I've ever had. The egg was cooked perfectly. The croissant was soft and flaky. The quiche was excellent too soft and pillowy and the salty ham and bacon complimented the crispy crust nicely. Service was excellent. The blonde lady behind the counter was super friendly and very pleasant to talk to. Overall excellent experience. I will be back

Love their almond croissant and cheese danish! My husband like their quiches. Haven’t tried anything here that we didn’t like. They are consistent with their baking perfection. Small seating area but enough. Try to get in before 2PM on Sundays or they will be out of some of the best sellers.

Google
As good as ever, perhaps even better! A wide range of daily offerings, everything is fresh, professionally made, truly at the gourmet level, an incredible local French patisserie! phenomenal cakes that are a cut above in terms of quality ingredients. The service and staff is excellent as well. Highly recommended..

Google
Just a quick shout out to Isabelle et Vincent and especially Amanda in Pastries. You made my birthday celebration for my husband unbelievably wonderful and memorable. Food is everything. Baking is life. Isabelle et V’s pastries are sinfully delicious. Let’s keep this important Fairfield institution hopping for years to come.

Google
Paris themed French bakery. Ambiance is good but the hygiene and the taste of the breads/pastries are a bit disappointing. The bakery looks better than the tastes. French baguette is too dense more than usual. The texture is between baguette and Italian sandwich roll. A staff took ice for coffee from the small dirty ice box which was next to the trash can and a few flies(pretty big) on the pastries… ew! The staffs were friendly but didn’t care the flies on the pasties.

Sooooo glad that I stumbled upon this place while in CT! I haven't been to many bakeries with this level of expertise. The glazed donut I got was very similar to a great bakery that I go to in King's Park, New York. They advertise it as a "cronut" which is a donut/ croissant and this donut tasted just like it. Google: The Cronut (a portmanteau of croissant and donut) is a pastry created and trademarked in 2013 by the French pastry chef Dominique Ansel. It resembles a doughnut and is made from croissant-like dough filled with flavored cream and fried in grapeseed oil. Cronut cross-section. In addition to these amazing donuts, they also had nice breakfast, egg quiche and loaves of fresh bread. If you're into any of the above, go check it out. You won't be disappointed!

Google
I specially ordered a box of 30 pink macarons for my daughter's baby shower. They were exquisite! Cher was wonderful and very attentive to detail and when I went to pick them up I fell in love with the welcoming and warm vibe of the store. Would use again 100%. Thank you!

Google
This place has really changed since it was purchased from the original owners. I understand you want to diversify your offerings but nothing about E&T feels the same except the name. The pastries have become much more sweet and dry at the same time. I also used to love getting the olive bread but even that comes undercooked and soggy. Please bring back the original recipes

Ann C.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing delicious pastries! The flourless cupcakes, Kinzer cookies & chocolate glazed donut is to die for. The rich chocolate is ever so decadent, luscious and delicious. The raspberry puree filling in the Kinzer cookies is fresh, bursting with the raspberry flavor.

Sofia D.

Yelp
Very nice atmosphere. Unfortunately not a lot for me to eat. Only baked goods way too sweet for me. Although they sell very nice multigrain baguette. I wish they would prepare sandwiches from it with veggies, salmon, eggs, Greek cheese, avocado.

Thomas M.

Yelp
We feel very fortunate to have this French bakery in town. Excellent and large assortment of fresh breads and pastries, plus many different types of quiches and smaller sweets. Their display case is a feast for the eyes and the staff is friendly and helpful as you try to make up your mind what to try next. Highly recommend.

Caroline B.

Yelp
Amazing French bakery ! They have so many pastry options, coffee, and homemade breads. My go to here are the multi layer donuts , similar to a cronut because of the croissant layered pieces inside. I love the chocolate, cinnamon, and glazed flavors

Kevin D.

Yelp
Quaint little bakery, good decor and good pastries came here during our epic hot dog trek. just finished getting a pretty good dog from the local restaurant next to DQ, then we saw this bakery and decided to pop in. The vibe of this place is trying to go for an italian bakery, but some of their presentation is askew. The order here sign is very much surfer style, the front entry is somewhat deco, the displays are granoise but the coffee chalkboard is tucked away in the corner. The place is cute but a little disjointed. We get a smattering of their baked goods, I had the banana cronut and the eclair. The cronut was dense and tough, not a lot of banana flavor. needed to be microwaved to make it soft enough to eat. The eclair was sweet and the custard cream was very reminicent of a boston cream donut. The girlfriend tried the coconut macaroon, was very sweet but tasty. The elephant ear was a little tough and cumbly but otherwise a decent bite. The french macaroons were also very thick on the shell, but good flavor. It was a fun little stop, but nothing here was a very memorable bite. It was serviceable, which for some can be a good thing. Don't expect amazing, and you should be okay.

Joan G.

Yelp
Went to the bakery at 7am on Thanksgiving Day to get baguettes for a large family gathering in NJ. Imagine my surprise when I pulled the cranberry walnut baguette out of the bag, and it was burned! I will be bringing it back for a refund. This never happened when Isabelle and Vincent were running the place.

Atnier R.

Yelp
Very cool French bakery with a nice interior and plenty of pretty pastries to drool at. The baguettes and hot chocolate are great simple things to order, but they have so many types of macarons and quiches and cream-filled sweet things. Very well-staffed by a young crew that's eager to get you something nice to take home or eat right at their cute tables. Pay them a visit! Do note they have a small parking lot and they are popular.

Janice M.

Yelp
If you are going to charge $5 for a croissant it shouldn't have the texture of glue and have a weird chemical like taste. Will never go back Not sure what the new owners are doing, but you've destroyed the brand

Arnie A.

Yelp
Wonderful little shop, everything is fresh and delicious.Friendly staff I had the chicken hand pie and loved it.

Tiffany C.

Yelp
This place is definitely a gem in the area! Everything looks so good. I had several pastries from here and they were all so good. My favorites were chocolate donuts. The staff were always sweet and hardworking. I would definitely pay another visit to get some cake next time!

Denise A.

Yelp
I stop by here pretty much weekly and always have a great experience. The freshly baked baguettes and croissants are absolutely fantastique! The flourless chocolate cakes are so rich, moist, and cholately! So many baked goods, pastries and more to choose from. Tastefully decorated. The store is always clean and service is fast-both which must be challenging with such a high voume of customers. I had to upgrade to 5 stars!

Sally Z.

Yelp
I've lived in the area for years, and always meant to check this spot out. The croissant donuts are very good. I have tried cronuts, (as they've been coined), at other spots and I just didn't think I liked them until I tried one here. The cheese danish are also delicious and quite big which will satisfy even the bigger appetites in the group. I have not tried the coffee, but I will when I return next weekend to try the quiche. They also have beautifully packaged chocolates which Is a great piece of information for everyone to have coming up on Valentine's Day next month maybe a

Saira K.

Yelp
Isabelle et Vincent is a beautiful French bakery in Fairfield. They have a private parking lot. There is a huge selection of pastries! There's so much that it's hard to choose! Service was helpful.

Andres A.

Yelp
I simply love this place! This is my second time visiting this place and I wanted to make sure the first time was not a hoax. True confession, I love bread!!!!, but because of dietary restrictions I've had to switch to wheat or multigrain breads. Until about two weeks ago I could not find any bread which really made me happy until I walked into this bakery. Their multi-grain baguette is truly outstanding!!!! Their baked goods are amazing according to my girlfriend. Unfortunately I cannot enjoy many baked goods but she loves their tarts. Whenever you walk into the bakery your senses are on overload, so many options! The store is really cute, with the so many options they have on display. They have a very small eat in area if you want to have your coffee and pastry. This week I also noticed they have a small chocolate candy area. This place gets better with every visit. Check it out!!

Revi M.

Yelp
I was a little disappointed. I thought it was odd there weren't names and prices next to the trays. I asked the nice girl about three different things and at that point I felt like the people behind me were annoyed. I did get an elephant ear and it was just delicious.

Johanna S.

Yelp
Update: I wanted to come back to say I have been lucky enough to eat more than my fair share of croissants and damn, they are spectacular!! I buy the classic, plain ones but they do have almond and chocolate. There may be others but I don't pay much attention to them. I also discovered something I thought was an urban legend; a cronut! Cronuts are a cross between a croissant and a donut that is fried. These come iced, sugared or cinnamon sugared and they are all more amazing than the next. Dense and chewy, buttery and just extraordinary. I have left after spending close to a hundred bucks. It's a horrifying reality but when you want or need some truly wonderful pastry, this is the place. Johanna

Anas Y.

Yelp
The best Bakery I have tasted in US !!!! This tastes like an authentic French boulangerie!!!!! If you are around this area even an hour drive away, you should have their baked goods-

Emily N.

Yelp
The smell of baked goods in this cozy shop gave me high hopes. This place had a lot of options and pretty crowded at 8am on a Sunday morning. We got an almond croissant and a chocolate almond croissant to share. The almond croissant was very dense inside - no layers, no crispy exterior, just bread with almonds on top and the cream inside. They gave me a regular chocolate croissant instead of a chocolate almond and the inside was more layered but still very dense. Unfortunately, the croissants I get from Trader Joe's are way better than these. If I were in the area again I'd try something else but I wouldn't go out of my way for these again.

Joseph P.

Yelp
The bread. Oh the bread. I buy two large baguettes, nice and warm...because I know ahead that one of the two loaves won't make it home! Lots of other French baked good are available under the glass counter, but for me it's all about the bread!

Jay M.

Yelp
This place makes me sad every time I go there with hope of a French bakery. It's disappointing - the croissant looks like a giant piece of bread and it's soggy, the worst strawberry shortcake ever. They probably need to hire a new baker because everything in this place is awful except for the multigrain baguette. The owners seem French but have no sense of taste. Buyer beware, this French bakery is awful and overpriced.

John S.

Yelp
Amazing French bakery. We tried the quiche and chocolate croissant. Delicious. Most people that walk in get takeout. Cute little place to sit if you want to eat in.

Sylvia F.

Yelp
Everything is great!! Cute little cafe atmosphere! Staff is very nice and very helpful! Napoleon is to die for!!

Will D.

Yelp
I enjoy a good bakery and that's shockingly hard to find in Fairfield. Isabelle Et Vincent is a good bakery. Their fresh baked baguettes are amazing, as are their sweets. The brioche is a favorite of mine. When it comes to macarons, it's hit or miss. Some flavors are really tasty, while others taste like plain macarons. The coffee is solid though. It's definitely worth a try, and personally it's entered my rotation to visit every couple of weeks, especially for the bread.

Maggie P.

Yelp
Expensive for what you get. I had the almond croissant (2) a croissant ((1) flaky pastry with chicken /egg bacon filling (2) ham and bacon quiche (1) all for 44 dollars. I'm assuming that each costs $8. It's not worthy. I did not get a receipt so I can't confirm that. However even for Fairfield are is over priced. Croissants tasted old , not crispy

Mariah C.

Yelp
The BEST pastry shop in town!! Love the NAPOLEON and the cronuts!! Everything we bring home from here is a bite of Heaven! Beautiful and cozy inside too.

Alex D.

Yelp
Super cute bakery! Their multigrain baguette is to die for!!!! There is variety of desserts and cakes for any occasion. Their cookies are always fresh and delicious. What I like about it is that it offers unique assortment, certainly not something you buy at any bakery. The owners and employees are nice and friendly.

liz w.

Yelp
So happy this bakery is close by Though it feels like I am miles away from home when I am here . Everything is delicious ! From the deserts to the breads to the low carb pizza So many gluten free and low carb treats to choose from ! Let's not forget their delicious hot cocoa And custom cakes Feel free to sit and sip or snack ,and take in the ambiance ! ENJOY

Janice M.

Yelp
I went there all the time when the original owners had it. After it was sold, the products were still terrific. I just went this morning for a plain croissant , an almond croissant, and a beniget (jelly filled type donut) They were terrible - had to throw them out. The donut was over cooked, the almond croissant was dry and had a thin smear of almond filling. The plain croissant was horrible - dry and poorly formed. I've had better frozen croissants. Not sure if they changed the recipes, the bakers, or whatever. Aside from the poor quality, it was expensive - $13 + for 3 pieces of baked goods only good for the trash - which is where they went. What a shame. I used to recommend this bakery to many friends - no longer. A long time customer who will never return.

John H.

Yelp
Excellent pastries and cakes. The bread selection is...baguettes! The baguettes are $4, or $5 if you get the whole wheat variety. It's Fairfield so I guess the prices are right in line with everything else. Top quality bakery but be prepared to spend some $$$

Ella L.

Yelp
Just moved to CT from Montclair, NJ so I was happy to find a French bakery in my new area as I started to miss Montclair French friendly culture. Also while I'm not a baked good expert I like to believe i know authentic French baked goods when I taste it as I grew up in France for the first 18 yrs of my life. I came in to I&V and ordered: 1 palmier (way too hard) 2 chaussons aux pommes (in addition to looking like empanadas, they had big pieces of apples and cinnamon taste) 2 almond croissants (these are usually my husband's favorite and it told me he had better from Whole Foods . 2 crodonuts (my first time having that, I don't know what it's supposed to taste like so I can even give accurate feedback; I just know I didn't like it) 1 tiramisu (the only thing that tasted delicious). I liked the authentic french boulangerie smell as soon as you enter the place and the staffs uniform that was cute.

Zack G.

Yelp
Stylish bakery with a wide assortment of gourmet pastries I also tried a cup of their coffee and was very impressed Lots of seating Fairly pricey 9

Aditi S.

Yelp
One of the cutest bakeries I've ever been to. Such a large selection of pastries it's hard to decide what to get! They have everything from croissants to cronuts to macarons and everything is delicious. I got an iced latte as well - no sweetener needed, the coffee has great taste. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying more pastries!

Alex M.

Yelp
I honestly can't think of when I've gotten something from Isabelle Et Vincent that I did not like. From the minute you walk into the place, the smells transport you to a Parisian café. The selection of pastries, breads, desserts, macaroons is abundant. And they all taste amazing. I've been known to devour an entire freshly baked baguette in one sitting. My favorite item here is the pain aux raisins. It is buttery, soft, and absolutely delicious. The chocolate and almond croissants are absolutely mouthwatering. I have also tried various savory quiches and the smoked chicken empanada-like thing, and they are all delicious. My daughter is a huge fan of the macaroons, and the croissant donut is a big hit. They also make a great cappuccino, coffee or espresso. And every time, without a doubt, the service is top notch. One of our favorite places to visit in town.

Natasha G.

Yelp
I gave this place another shot and they nailed it! I went in early , 9Am or so and so glad I did. Macaroons were fresh and delicious.

Lovelypip H.

Yelp
Doesn't like when you walk in the past I ordered birthday cake to gift to my best friends birthday party .it is 167$ The decoration look like I make it from my house. I told them shade of nude for flowers and they make pink. Very bad bad cake I ever seen. I don't expect it perfect but at least 50-60% similar Never again

Masama S.

Yelp
Begnies old, impossible to cut in half to share. Same with a rounded croissant. Tartalets, we had to ask to reheat them again. Flavorless. Coffee from a thermos...cold, again, we had to ask them to reheat. Never coming again. Don't come.

Marla M.

Yelp
I absolutely love this bakery (a little too much)! They have gluten free dessert options that are amazing. The owners (Mike and Jill) and the staff (Meg, Holton and Mirely) are so warm and friendly and remember exactly how I like my coffee. It quickly became my favorite place !

Alaina M.

Yelp
If you are looking for a piece of France in Fairfield, go here! Eating here reminded me of being in Paris. They offer a wide variety of pastries, donuts, croissants, macaroons, etc! Love supporting them :)

liz w.

Yelp
For everyday luxury or special occasions This is the best of the best The breads all look and smell crazy delicious but sweets are more my thing ! The elephant ears are Amazing . They make them in mini size and regular I buy the mini and convince myself they are less fattening ! My mother in law who lives in New Jersey requests them whenever we visit . I think she looks forward to them more than she looks forward to our visit! The cakes are beautiful and I cannot pick a favorite . We enjoyed a strawberry butter cream cake and other treats over the holidays . Valentine's Day is always good excuse for a visit as well!

Marsha K.

Yelp
Wonderful bakery.Terrible experience. Several women behind the counter-no one responded to me.Finally a woman responded & had difficulty hearing me due to noise in the background. I ordered 22 macarons and she told me that I owed $75. Somewhere I had seen that they were around 2.20 each. I just told her to explain how that came out to 75. This went back and forth for awhile and I wound up paying 53. and change. Her attitude during the entire interaction was not great. She did apologize at the end. I have read great articles about this bakery-disappointing

Chris V.

Yelp
I didn't expect the red velvet cake to be as hard as a rock when I bit into it. For the prices, I'm disappointed. It's a shame because the other products we purchased were very good. If you get a slice of cake, make sure it's fresh and soft, not hard and stale!!!!!!!

Jenny D.

Yelp
You will be SO glad you came here. They make their own chocolates in addition to the AMAZING crossiant, breads, and quiche. Smells so good, and the owner is so nice! They even host private parties.

Lauren B.

Yelp
Not what it was. Croissants are supposed to be layered not bready. I checked into it and I&V sold in 2018. Sad.

Lili M.

Yelp
OMG this place is the BEST! I lived in Paris 10 years and 25 years in Mahattan some of the stuff in this place is even better then Paris Pâtisseries. I know for fact they are baking everything fresh everyday. We are very lucky to have an amazing bakery in our town. Plus they give oppurtunity towns kids summer jobs, lovely couple, employees are very polite, clean place, yummy great pastry. Their fresh breads are to die for! Bon Appétit!

Julie B.

Yelp
It pains me to leave this review, but my guarded optimism when I et V was sold is gone. Croissants are now chewy rolls. No more shattering crust, no more melt-in-your-mouth center. they're not even crescent shaped Anymore. Upon my complaint and my asking if the recipe had been changed, I was handed another identical roll. I was brusquely told that the recipe had not been changed by a man who then turned on his heel and walked away so I couldn't even get my $4 back. If chewy rolls and grotesque, very American cookies are what you think a formerly great French bakery should offer, go and enjoy. For the rest of us, RIP Isabelle et Vincent.

Kathryn A.

Yelp
Just tried this bakery for the first time. Had never heard of it before but happened to pass by and see it and stopped in. It is a beautiful place and the breads and pastries are displayed beautifully. I ordered half a pound of assorted cookies. I'm torn. Some of the cookies were wonderful and some of them just missed the mark somehow. It seems like a lot of their cookies are dipped partially in a dark chocolate. This chocolate is very, very good but I think the chocolate helps to compensate somehow for the lackluster of the rest of the cookies. I ordered a Linzer Tart and it looked gorgeous! I couldn't believe it because it actually tasted stale. What a disappointment. I really want to love this place because it's beautiful and everything looks great, but I think it needs work. Cookies are $35 a pound. I just don't think these cookies warranted that kind of price. Another thing I noticed was that there was a big table in one of the seating areas. The other seating area there were small tables. I didn't sit in and eat there but I noticed the large table was taken up by a family. I thought that was odd. The seating should be broken up into small places for many people and not one large space for one family. Kind of strange. It made it feel unwelcoming and like you were intruding upon a family eating their food. It was out of place.

Antony S.

Yelp
The owners have changed. Isabelle et Vincent sold it to Michael & Jill. It is now an all-American bakery baking French pastries and cakes. But contrary to how these things go, Michael and Jill have made the bakery better. I felt I & V had a language barrier and that prevented them from communicating effectively to their clientele, though they were an extremely nice and polite couple. But I think Michael and Jill have bought a much needed American-ness to the bakery. Michael interacts with his patrons pretty much like friends and there is a new atmosphere in the bakery with more customer engagement. The quality of the pastries have not gone down. It's only become better and the new owners are introducing a few items of their own to spice up the flair. I only have 25 check-ins but I don't really fuck around with Yelp like some of the losers do while I'm enjoying my pastries. I may have been to this place 100 times a year given that there are 52 weekends in the year. I think the place should be renamed Michael & Jill.

Keron B.

Yelp
Absolutely Amazing! By far the most amazing bakery I have been to. Fresh breads and pastries ... the employees are super helpful!

Tommy P.

Yelp
It was my first time going to Isabelle Et Vincent and it was a great "french pastry shop" experience! The layout and design of the place was warm and welcoming, just like the workers there. But I dont know if this is a spot for me to come back again. Yeah, the place has a variety of option to pick from such as bread, sweets/desserts and pastry that is freshly baked but it is a bit pricey and not that mind-blowing for your taste buds. I am sure you could find better bakeries, IMO. But the baked goods were delicious!
