We had the most amazing time at the Isaiah Jones B&B! We've traveled extensively but this was our first time in Cape Cod, and boy have we been missing out. We loved staying in Sandwich for our trip - both in Sandwich and at the Isaiah Jones Homestead. It was the perfect location for our trip and to get to know Cape Cod. The Homestead was upscale and classy while being homey and cozy. Breakfast was great - plentiful, fresh, tasty, and different each day we were there. We really felt cared for (even spoiled)! Our room was perfect too - the bedding smelled so good, clean and fresh - definitely the best of our 2 week New England vacation. I especially liked all the touches in the room - like the comforter (which was wonderful) - it was cozy without being heavy. We also loved visiting with the owners Bob and AnaLisa - what a great story (and she has the best smile and engaging personality!). A note on the upstairs rooms - while I was wondering how getting up the stairs would be on my knees, I had no problem at all and highly recommend ANY room at the inn! 100% we would stay again - and hope to!

Very charming BnB with new owners who are making upgrades, like keyless self check-in. We stayed in the Thornton Burgess suite which was comfortable and roomy. Some things need some updating and fine tuning, like grout and floor patching but the bed was very comfortable with quality sheets and water pressure. The central a/c was great. There's a coffee bar, mini fridge and wineglasses/bottle openers on the shared landing in the carriage house. The room has a tv, wifi, closet and pull out couch. The property is charming and within easy walking distance of gift shops and restaurants. Very quiet. Sitting on the carriage house porch we saw plenty of butterflies, birds, squirrels and a rabbit.

Our stay 3 night stay here has been marvelous! The house is beautiful, with lovely antiques and furnishings through the house. Plus, both of our rooms had very comfortable bedding. We enjoyed our time in the parlor, looking at the photographs and reading of the home’s history, while sipping the tea and coffee that is always available. The highlights continued with the wonderful 3-course breakfasts! Eric, the host, has had culinary training and every morning was a delight-from homemade scones and muffins to delicious egg dishes and a scrumptious take on French toast! We have been delighted with this stay, and hope to return sometime in the future. |

My husband and I finished our tour of New England at this quaint and historic guesthouse at the heart of Sandwich. Katherine was the most wonderful host, looking after us from start to finish, helped by her co-workers and her granddaughter who were all as equally welcoming as Katherine. We looked forward to breakfast as our favourite meal of the day while staying with Katherine, as her home cooking was second to none! The rooms were clean, tidy but also fantastically in keeping with the theme and style of the guesthouse. And we loved how when we first arrived, Katherine gave us a tour of the house, telling us about the history of its original owner. If you have an interest in history like us, we would highly recommend this place to anyone who plans a trip to Cape Cod, it really felt like a home from home. Emily and George, England

In July 2022 my wife and I spent two nights at the Isaiah Jones Inn in Sandwich, MA. Our room was the Dr. Jonathan Leonard room and we loved it.|The house was built for Dr. Leonard in the 1840s’ and the family lived there for some 20 years. It was then sold to Isaiah Jones and stayed in his family for decades, thus the name “Isaiah Jones Homestead”.|The house is old but well-maintained and beautifully furnished. The furnishing is appropriate for the age of the home giving the guests a feeling of staying with close friends or relatives. Our room was fairly small but lovingly appointed. The mattress and pillows were soft but surprisingly comfortable. The shower, though tiny, was adequate. The breakfast room has large windows and glass doors leading to a colorful garden. The breakfasts were were large and tasty.|The heart and soul of the Isaiah Jones Bed and Breakfast is Katherine, the Innkeeper/owner. She has been pouring time, money, exquisite taste and love into the place for the past sixteen years. Kathrine is a very likable, warm, cheerful and friendly woman. On our arrival she heard the car and came out to greet us and help with our overnight bags. She was available throughout our stay for a brief chat or to answer a question. With Katherine at the helm we would happily return to the Isaiah Jones Bed and Breakfast.

This was a great B & B. The location was perfect for our stay in a lovely area. We enjoyed walking to the mill and a few areas. The innkeeper was friendly and very helpful. The breakfasts were very tasty and plentiful. Our room was decorated lovely and the bed quite comfortable. The living room was inviting and the port and sherry were a nice touch. We would definitely return.

Quaint, quiet and quintessential Cape Cod summarizes our three night stay in Sandwich. Isaiah Jones would be quite proud of what Katherine has done to turn his home built it in 1848 into a welcoming and wonderful Bed & Breakfast! The rooms are spacious, well appointed with period furniture and quite comfortable with modern amenities. Katherine and her staff are extremely friendly and helpful. And those breakfasts- WOW! Served in a beautiful room on various selections of elegant china, these multi course breakfasts were outstanding and delicious! Having celiac disease as I do, can be a challenge in many restaurants. But Katherine made the most delicious gluten free scones, muffins, and pancakes for me!!!! And my husband absolutely loved his breakfasts, which were far from normal! Thank you to Katherine for our most memorable and delightful stay in your exemplary Bed & Breakfast!

Another amazing stay! Not only is the B&B gorgeous, the food is always amazing. Katherine makes the most delicious scones and crepes and omelets and muffins...just thinking about them makes me hungry. And you have to start your day with a Donnie special! The room we stayed at (in the cottage) is spacious and comfortable. The area is very relaxing and so pretty! We are already planning our next trip!

Yelp
Amazing hospitality given by the owners! Robert and AnaLisa are such a lovely couple and wonderful at opening their hearts and home to travelers. Loved the charm and feel of this Bed and Breakfast. Not to mention how beautiful Sandwich, Ma is. I definitely will be returning to this B & B.

Yelp
*****Cozy Place. Cleanliness. Delicious 3-courses breakfast. Comfortable mattress/pillows. Hot water all the time. Oversize whirlpool tube. Beautiful Bath products. My husband and I loved this B & B. The first time we stayed there was on the occasion of our 20th anniversary in Nov/2015. We returned in March/2017 and in February/2019. At all times we were warmly welcomed by Mrs Katherine and Don. On our return home we always miss the great breakfast Isaiah Jones offers to customers. On our first time there, Mrs. Katherine, the innkeeper, helped us (through email before we arrived) to book for a Thanksgiving dinner nearby. For our 20th Anniversary celebration we choose to stay in one of the rooms of the Carriage House. Our room was the romantic and quiet Thornton Burgess Room. I loved the bath products (with their beautiful labels) specially the herbal bath & conditioner. The bathroom robes were a great surprise. Breakfast was a 3 delicious courses with scones, fruits, omelets, orange french toast served with a fresh pot of coffee and/or fruit juice. Also, we have a free coffee and cookies, Sherry and Port all day long. As an amateur photographer I registered almost everything on my trips (from Nepal to Brazil) and I was thrilled to register the details about this beautiful B&B such as the flowers in the breakfast room, decor in the sitting area or the chairs on the porch. All of that made our experience at Isaiah Jones Homestead B&B great.

Yelp
This was my wife's first experience with a B&B and it wasn't positive. The mattress sagged and needed replaced. The TV in the room had a 12 in. screen and a broken DVD player. There were too few electrical outlets, no ceiling fan, A/C in the main section of the house set at 78. Bathroom needed renovated. The shower stall was too small to turn around in and the sink stopper didn't work. Overall disappointed in the state of repair. Older homes should be charming, not neglected. On the positive, the breakfast was good.

Yelp
We came here for a weekend during the off-season, right before Christmas. I love going to tourist destinations in the off-season. Rates are cheaper, you don't have to deal with the same traffic and congestion, and can really appreciate the landscape. We stayed in the Capt. William Weeks room, one of the larger rooms, which is in the carriage house because my then-fiance, now husband is a sea captain and can't resist choosing any room with "Captain" in the name. It's a lovely, spacious room. I particularly liked the touch of a keurig machine in the hallway, which let me drink cup after cup of tea without having to leave the carriage house. The bedding was very comfortable. I often find pillows too flat and bedding too suffocating at hotels and inns, but not here. Don and Kathy are great innkeepers and very personable. The breakfasts are delicious. Both mornings we were served a fruit course, a scone or muffin, and a main breakfast dish. I particularly liked the cranberry scone and vanilla bread pudding. The two very sweet dogs do not enter guest areas but will wag and smile from the kitchen (and wiggle with excitement if you come to them to offer pets). I did learn one tip from Don: If you book with a bed and breakfast or inn, do not book through one of the major sites such as travelocity or hotels.com. These ties take a cut of about 30% and usually offer the same rates as going directly through the innkeepers. If you do see a special offered through one of these sites, I bet the inn will offer you the same (or a better) rate if you call them up and ask.

Yelp
A perfect stay at the Carriage House, private and with the amenities of jacuzzi tub, fireplace, and a Keurig set up just outside our door. Visiting my 96 year old mother nearby during this challenging Covid-19 time, it was critical to stay at a place that observed distancing, didn't have too many guests which would have been a risk with a hotel, and where we were the only guests during this early in the season weekday stay as the Cape was just starting to open back up. Comfortable bed and amazing breakfasts in this lovingly restored and maintained home....I felt so special dining with crystal touches for breakfast! Homemade blueberry muffin, and herb feta omelet were my favorites of this delicious 3 course breakfast. We also enjoyed walking to the ocean through the charming neighborhood and boardwalk (keeping us free of sand!) and then getting cinnamon rolls and scones at Beth's around the corner from Isaiah Jones for our 4 hour trip home. Katherine made us feel more than welcome and her many years in the hospitality industry are clearly evident at Isaiah Jones Homestead!

Yelp
This place is great for a weekend away from the city. We went during the off season and were the only ones there. I opted for the Romantic Escape for Two, which consisted of two nights in the Carriage House (away from the main house) which included a fireplace and jacuzzi. We also got a bottle of champagne, bubble bath stuff and a free dinner at the Belfy Bistro (SO good). The place very nice and clean and everything was pretty standard B&B-y Until breakfast. None of this crazy continental buffet with coffee for us. We got handmade crabcakes benidict, fruit, scones, coffee, tea, juice, all wonderful and made to order. It was nice to be waited on, esp since it was just the two of us. The breakfasts were AMAZING. The inn keepers obviously enjoyed what they were doing. I would go back during the off season. It was nice to get away from the crowds in the city and Sandwich is very nice.

Yelp
Well done! Classic colonial cape code decor. Immaculately clean. I mentioned anniversary, they left a small gift etc. Breakfast was very good: have not had an omelette made that well ... ever? Offered great suggestions for nearby eateries and attractions. We are trying to figure out how to "bend" our schedule to get back there very soon.

Yelp
Stayed here with 2 friends in early August, 2015 and was very happy with the accommodations. The inn is very well-maintained and a lovely place. Meg and the team did everything they could to help us, from making reservations, to having recommendations about local attractions during out stay. Breakfast each morning was a treat. Delicious, 3-course meals served by Katherine's grandchildren who could not have been more attentive and polite. I definitely recommend the Isaiah Jones Homestead.

Yelp
I have to give this one 5 stars. Recommend for mature audiences, this lovely b&b has an air of vintage elegance. The innkeeper, Cathrine, is very pleasant and accommodating. While there we did whale watching, Martha's Vineyard, glass museum etc. My favorite part of each day was breakfast. Elegant atmosphere and lovely service. Great food.

Yelp
incredibly comfy bed and breakfast. we stayed in the Thornton Burgess room in the carriage house. fabulous. love the size, the gas fire place, the little coffee station, the privacy, the updated decor and OH that whirlpool tub! highly recommend you stay here. hopefully you will be greeted with the wonderful fresh herb and feta cheese omelet! wonderful friendly innkeepers. cannot say enough positive things about them and cannot wait to go back! only critique would be that the free wifi (appreciated) does not work in the carriage house. rather inconvenient to have to go to main house if you want to use your personal ipad or laptop.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I stayed here as the first stop during our trip to Cape Cod. From the first minute, Don was welcoming and very informative, offering a tour of the lovely house and making us feel at home. The town of Sandwich itself is small but supercute, and Don gave us awesome recommendations for local restaurants to check out (best lobster rolls ever nearby-just ask him!). The room and bed were comfortable and spacious and tastefully decorated. My boyfriend had to do an hour of work so he sat with his laptop in the backyard on a chair and felt very much at home. Breakfast was delicious... Kathryn bakes her own scones! I definitely recommend this inn.

Yelp
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the Isaiah Jones B&B. Our hosts Don & Katherine couldn't have been nicer. The location was convenient and the breakfast was oustanding. We can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Stayed in the Thornton Burgess room. Surprisingly, no mention of his play Our Town. Wait, that's Thornton Wilder. Never mind.

Yelp
This place was fantastic!!! The owners were extremely welcoming and made u feel right at home. The best part was breakfast. It was nothing short of incredible... I mean it! Probably the best meal we have ever had.... And we eat at fine restaurants in Boston. It was obvious that the food was made with the freshest ingredients because the food was extremely flavorful. Fresh squeezed sweet orange juice, baked cinnamon pears, inlets made with fresh herbs and feta, and muffins that were so buttery they melted in your mouth. I highly recommend this as a comfortable getaway with exceptional service.

Yelp
We where looking for a quite place to spend our 45th anniversary. We where met by Don who gave us a tour, every room was beautiful. We stayed in the Dr. Jonathan Leonard room which was very charming. Katherine you are a great chief! Breakfast was the best we have ever had. They changed a few of the breakfast items because of my dietary needs...Thank You... They even acknowledge our anniversary which was a nice surprise. Beautiful rooms and wonderful and friendly innkeepers. Hope to return in the near future. Joanne D

Yelp
My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful, relaxing time. Great location right near town and close to the water, excellent service, all in a charming and well appointed New England setting. Our only regret is that we were so busy we didn't get a chance to enjoy the amazing breakfasts prepared each morning (although we were sent off to the beach early one day w/ a to go bag w/ bananas and homemade muffins - yum!). Sweet family-run inn, visit them if you can!

Yelp
This was one of my best brithday weekends thanks to Kathy and my husband of course. We had the best time in Sandwich and Kathy made sure we saw all the sights and went to the best resturant in town for a birthday dinner. The breakfast was five star and I was so stuffed but I still managed to finish my last blueberry pancake. We stayed in the carriage house and I could not have been happier it was quaint and quite and had the exact feel that I wanted it to have! As far as bed and breakfasts go this is one my husband and I will be returning to.

Yelp
We were looking for a place on the Cape but close to home to celebrate a special occasion and truly found a winner at Isaiah Jones B&B. Our hosts made us feel like family - even sang Happy Anniversary to us in the dining room. Old home charm - beautiful place. While it did have WiFi and TV, we enjoyed being away from the electronics as well. Breakfast was fabulous. We will definitely be back. The spa tub was a nice touch as well. Thanks to Don and Katherine for a great weekend. Glad we found your website - (http://www.isaiahjones.com/)
