Ise Guest House Kazami

I'm from Taiwan and stayed here for two nights. Unlike the large capsule-style rooms I stayed in in Tokyo and Nagoya, this place finally felt more welcoming. The location is very close to Ise Station; since it's a dormitory, you can expect poor soundproofing, so don't be picky, just go with the flow. The owner is very creative; his self-designed circular guesthouse is very unique. Kenta Son, who helps look after the place, is someone you'll like from the first meeting. Highly recommended for backpackers.

Lovely guest house, had a great time! The person working there is amazing! He's so kind and played one of my favorite songs for me when he saw my velvet underground shirt(: that was so nice of him, made my day. The building had a nice smell of wood that wasn't aggressive, very natural and pleasant. Also we could check in early so that was really nice!

Guest House Kazami is a wonderful little hostel about 3 minutes walk from Iseshi Station (and not much further from the Outer Shrine). The interior is clad is hinoki wood, giving it an amazing scent and peaceful feeling. Of course, our host was the best part of the stay. He is a very friendly and warm person, making us feel incredibly welcome. He even played some of our favourite music for us!

The hotel was very clean and well-maintained. The location was excellent—convenient and easy to get around. The room was comfortable and I slept really well. Overall, a great place to stay!

Beautiful place and people! All in wood. There is a kitchen, a washing machine, and everything is clean. Very close to the railway station and shops. Central place. The staff is very sympathetic and the music just amazing. Unique place!

great location, right near the station so easily accessible. I just loved the smell of wood and how natural everything was. It was truly a unique and beautiful place to spend a couple nights. The tables and chairs made from tree trunks are amazing too and a lovely place to sit and chill. Multiple types of bread are available alongside barley tea for a late night snack. Amazing place!

It was a really cozy place and I would love to come back again! The staff is so kind, the rooms are good cleaned, the atmosphere is really beautiful. My best hostel experience in Japan. You will have a kitchen, fridge, water and tea. In shared room I have met really nice people from Japan and Europe.

I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Guest House Kazami! The hostel is perfectly situated for exploring Ise, only a short walk from the station and the beautiful Ise Jingu, and within walking distance of the supermarket and some cool cafes and bars. We felt very welcomed by the friendly staff, and the hostel was sociable yet never rowdy. The room and shared spaces were all very clean and bright. I enjoyed the tasteful wooden decor, and the courtyard with a tree in the center of the hostel was so pretty. I definitely recommend a stay at Kazami for your trip to Ise!
