I recently spent three incredible days at the Isha Institute of Inner Sciences in McMinnville, Tennessee, participating in the Ayur Rasayana program, and it was a truly rejuvenating experience. The Ayurvedic massages were exceptional—deeply relaxing and expertly performed, leaving me feeling balanced and renewed. The food was a highlight, with wholesome, flavorful vegetarian meals that nourished both body and soul, perfectly aligned with Ayurvedic principles. The cabins were comfortable, cozy, and thoughtfully designed, providing a peaceful retreat amidst the serene campus surroundings. The volunteers were warm, friendly, and incredibly helpful, always ready to assist with a genuine smile, which made the stay even more welcoming. Exploring the campus was a delight. The Abode of Yoga and Linga Bhairavi temple offered profound spiritual experiences, radiating a powerful energy that was both calming and uplifting. The Mahima dome was a beautiful space for meditation, and the short hike to the lotus pond was a refreshing way to connect with nature, with stunning views and tranquil vibes. Overall, the Isha Institute’s serene environment, combined with the well-structured Ayur Rasayana program, delicious food, and heartfelt hospitality, made this a transformative and unforgettable retreat. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking physical, mental, and spiritual rejuvenation!

Amazing full moon experience and very well established high energy point in the United States. The lingas that have been created here are absolutely the highest form of energy you will find anywhere in the states and most likely the northern Americas (have only been to supposedly high energy points in the states). If you cannot feel them, hopes for your continued growth of awareness and perception in order to tap into such astonishing work by an amazing caring human being. Unique organic pranic vegetarian food provided is well beyond mess hall quality it is served in and provides unique flavors thankfully beyond my USA palette! Thank you for that expansion into feeling healthier just through eating for four days straight. Please set your expectations to an operational experience seemingly fully volunteer run. It’s not perfect and honestly it should be this way for you to learn from not complain about. I was glad to have spent money to support a cause trying to advance humanity as much as possible with very little. Remembering this is not a corporate run for profit resort certainly helped frame my being and attitude for my own personal highest level of growth success in being here. Letting any imperfections show mine at the same time provided a growth beyond my expectations, do you think you can try also? The entire operation is true, real and raw. Lose your self into it and find those amazing gifts it gives back to you through inner growth. The lower ratings I have read are obvious of people not able to see or be with the truth in what can be experienced here. I would kindly ask you to drop all expectations and realize one man is creating social and personal waves of greatness; soil, trees, rivers but most of all conscious humans. The one star reviews I have read represent what is most lost in translation of what is trying to be done here. Those that toss around words like cults or greed are obviously most lost without their individual chance to experience the actual beauty provided here. I feel only hope for them and their beings as I wish it will not be many more lifetimes for them to experience what so many others blissfully experience here now today, in this moment. Another comment I would make is that there is continual improvement and growth happening here, revisit often to see the change! Namaskaram to you all. Amazing work every one at Isha!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Without exaggeration, the Isha Institute and Sadhguru’s guidance can be life-changing if you’re open to it. Whether you’re a seeker, a skeptic, or just someone looking for peace, this is a place—and a teacher—you’ll never forget. The Isha Institute of Inner-sciences in Tennessee is not just a retreat—it’s a profound experience that stays with you long after you leave. Nestled in the serene Cumberland Plateau, the energy of this place is almost indescribable. From the moment you step on the property, you feel a deep sense of stillness, as if the land itself is meditating. The Adiyogi: Abode of Yoga and the Mahima Hall are breathtaking—not only architecturally but also in the way they radiate an undeniable sense of peace. The environment is pristine, the volunteers are warm and dedicated, and everything here is designed to support inner growth and clarity. Whether you come for a program, a short stay, or just a day visit, you will walk away lighter, calmer, and more connected to yourself. 🌿 If you’re seeking balance, deeper understanding, or just a pause from the noise of everyday life, this is the place to be. It’s not just a center—it’s a living, breathing space of transformation. ✨ **About Sadhguru** ✨ Sadhguru is not your typical spiritual teacher. He’s refreshingly direct, deeply wise, and has a unique way of bringing ancient yogic science into the modern world without losing its essence. What sets him apart is his practicality—he doesn’t ask you to believe in anything; instead, he gives you tools to explore and transform your own life from the inside out. Listening to him or attending his programs feels like someone is finally answering the questions you didn’t even know you had. He has an extraordinary ability to make complex truths simple, all while weaving in humor, clarity, and compassion. For many, he’s not just a teacher but a guide who helps open doors to dimensions of life that most of us never thought possible.

Isha Institute of Inner Sciences is located in a very scenic, calm, and tranquil setting. Just visiting the place is a stress-relieving and pleasant experience. Isha Bhava Spandana and Shoonya meditation are truly life-changing experiences. The volunteers are phenomenal, offering their love and dedicated service with genuine care. If anyone is feeling stuck or overwhelmed by life’s stress, anxiety, or worries, this is the place to heal and elevate their consciousness and spirit — helping them face life’s challenges with greater ease.

We always have amazing adventures at Isha, a wonderful inclusive hub for Sanatana Dharma 🥰. The food is amazing and will leave you feeling full on a whole new level. The smell of the gift shop will have you wanting to place online orders so you can smell it in your home. Highly recommend

Visiting the Isha Institute of Inner-sciences was one of the most enriching experiences of my life. Nestled in the serene mountains of Tennessee, the space radiates peace, clarity, and an undeniable sense of sacredness. From the moment I arrived, I felt a deep stillness—something rare to come by in our busy modern lives. The Adiyogi Abode is beyond words—just sitting there in silence has a powerful impact. You don’t need to believe in anything; the energy of the place simply works on you if you’re open. The volunteers are incredibly kind, humble, and dedicated, creating a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you’re visiting for a short retreat, yoga program, or just a few hours, you’ll feel genuinely cared for. If you’re even remotely interested in inner well-being, meditation, or simply taking a break from the noise of life, Isha Institute is a place that can truly offer something profound. You don’t have to believe me—but if you visit, you’ll find the truth for yourself in my words. Highly recommend visiting—it’s not just a place, it’s an experience that stays with you.

I just returned from the Isha Center in Tennessee, and the experience was truly beyond words. As I was leaving, it felt like a part of me stayed behind—just like the feeling I had when I visited India in 2020. The energy, the peace, and the atmosphere at Isha were incredibly powerful and deeply moving. This visit has significantly impacted my well-being, and I feel immense gratitude for the tools and practices I received there. Despite all the noise and negativity some may spread, I believe everyone deserves peace and happiness—and that’s exactly what I found at Isha. My life and my family’s life have been positively transformed, and we are deeply thankful to Sadhguru for guiding us on this path. We feel truly fortunate to be living in a time when we can experience his presence and wisdom. Thank you, Sadhguru, for everything.

Google
Divine place to be. A worth visit if u r in Tennessee or Atlanta. There is a welcome center you check in and go to sanctum and do meditation. Also a temple under sanctum you can worship. Both are a divine feeling place to be. They have selection of products (cotton made, neem made, copper made) worth buying i in welcome center. You need to park a little farther within woods if u r visiting on a non event day. The parking near to center is permit only.

Yelp
A beautiful, wonderful space to practice traditional Hatha yoga, learn techniques for inner wellbeing, go hiking, and enjoy treatments at the rejuvenation center. Very kind people and a special energy to support your personal growth.

Yelp
Worst EXPERIENCE ever ! I don't even know where to begin! So I'll just summarize it : I gave a Testimony of Jesus Christ healing me in 2003 and the Great Awakening which came with that , you know the thing less experience they all are seeking! Well .... Sadhguru was sitting behind the scenes and HATED IT ! They all went NUTS! No emotion , no individual ability to comprehend... just acting as I'd mind controlling had them . Then they tried DAMAGE CONTROL and Invited me back only to STEAL MY BIKE I RODE 38 miles to get there! Then claimed I was trespassing! Then hunted me after stranding me up there in a cold night. There IDIOT VOLUNTEERS ended up CAUSING 3 fires ! I had one too , but mine WAS DUTIFULLY PUT OUT ! Then they REFUSED TO LET THE PROFESSIONAL FIRE FIGHTERS ( McMinnville Tennessee) IN TO FIGHT THE FIRES THEY CAUSED! What ??? Ya, this is TRUE ! And it gets worse ! They covered up the 6 who first came to help me put out there fire !! And BLAMED IT ALL ON ME! 21 months in Jail without TRIAL , though I asked a SPEEDY TRIAL!!! Trial DELAYED UNTIL November 2025 as all false witnesses FLED THE STATE !IF YOU VISIT THERE .... RECORD EVERYTHING IN SECRET ! It is ADMISSIBLE EVIDENCE aND YOU MIGHT JUST NEED IT!

Yelp
I had been to III Tennessee on Memorial Day and had very horrible experience as no coordination between them and people sitting in welcome center were very horrible could not give proper information. Issued meal coupons charging 10 dollops per person and went to the biksha hall and there was no food. I never expected this from Isha foundation, after driving all the way from New Jersey. just want to let you know as it should not happen to others. went with senior citizens . Horrible , sorry to write this.

Deepali S.

Yelp
I went to III for Sadhguru Darshan in 2023 and visited couple of times more for advance Yoga programs. Ashram is a peaceful and energetic place. Ashram volunteers are very helpful and devoted to what they are doing. It is a place for human transformation.

Yelp
Amazing!! We signed up for Inner Engineering. It's a life changer. It's a beautiful peaceful place that offers something for everyone.

Yelp
What a beautiful sanctuary with Sadhguru leading the program. Acres and acres surrounded by trees with a quiet tranquility about it. Words cannot do this justice - this is like an ashram full of sacred energy. Amazing retreat.

Yelp
One of the best and most powerful transformative places on earth. Everyone is there for the same goal, self transformation. We are forever indebted to Sadhguru

Lelia C.

Yelp
His father-in-law was right. Sadhguru is an Evil man. Unfortunately, we paid for his internet course and we suggested that my nephew sign up, which he did. Then I researched his background. I should have done that 1st. Sadhguru intentionally cremated his wife in the middle of the night. Sadhguru wants to depopulate the world. Sadhguru wants everyone to get the experimental vaccine. Sadhguru is another antichrist. Sadhguru does have wonderful kind caring volunteers which he uses. America needs kind caring volunteers not sadhguru evil views and desires. America is in a civil war. Sadhguru has a temple and land in tennessee and pays no taxes. He needs to donate that temple and land to the people of Tennessee and Get out of America. He's a self-focused evil man.

Yelp
This review is for the management and not the actual trip experience. I am familiar with the work that the foundation does and highly respect Sadhguru and the social welfare the institution does, but I had a very terrible experience while I was about to attend the program. I was on the waitlist for the program, anticipating that a slot would open up and I'll get a chance to attend. 2 days before the program, a slot did open up. I immediately booked, received the confirmation. While I was booking a couple of questions related to previous participation weren't clear to me and I wanted to speak with someone about it. There was no way to do that in the web form, so I went ahead with the booking. The site did let me book. I got a confirmation email and I was looking forward to the trip. I also booked last-minute expensive flights. Now here's the twist. As I am in the transit at the layover airport and am about to attend the 4-day program, I get a call that I won't be able to participate in the program. Apparently we had a misunderstanding and I don't qualify. Isha volunteers informed me so late. My multiple requests fell on their deaf ears. They were so adamant even after making multiple requests. Now I am stranded, trying to figure out what to do in Nashville for 4 days. Or cancel/book more expensive flights back. It is really sad that I am in no man's land after spending total $1500, taking 4 days off from work. And I have to spend more to make more arrangements. And all I get from the volunteer "I am sorry for you. I can't do anything regarding this" Please be more compassionate and practice real-world spiritualism rather than following some esoteric rules, canceling at the last minute and leaving peole in a lurch. 10/22/2016 1:22am layover in Denver.

Yelp
We had an incredible experience at the Inner Engineering Retreat. The volunteers were very dedicated, helpful, and kind, and the program was extremely well run. We stayed in a studio at Laurel hall, and it was very clean. But bring your pillow from home.:) The entire property is beautiful! Especially the hiking trails to the falls and bluff. If you are considering attending a retreat, do yourself a favor and sign up! You will not regret it!

Andrew L.

Yelp
I paid them to initiate me and I've never had psychological problems my entire life (just regular depression from serious events which I've long recovered from). Now my mind is like nonsense from whatever they've done to me. I know it was them because they caused massive sensations in my system and since then I haven't been able to think right. They're hacks and they don't really know what they're doing. It's the biggest regret of my life getting involved with these people. Some people seem to like what they do, but I absolutely hate it and they don't give refunds or take this garbage out of me.

Sonia B.

Yelp
Wow. I'm absolutely disappointed in this place. Foremost, it is a beautiful place to be and it is so beautifully designed. I was expecting to be able to journal and peacefully reconnect with myself and the nature surrounding this beautiful institute. To my dismay, this place felt like a mandir to pray to Lord Shiva and less like a spiritual place to meditate. As I entered, men and women were to sit separately as instructed by the volunteers. The two volunteers working treated this place LIKE A CULT. Specifically the white man that was trying to give me instructions about MY RELIGION, MY CULTURE. I'm genuinely sorry white man that you come from a place with no culture but be respectful of mine. The British still rule India in so many ways and this is proof. I DIGRESS REGARDLESS. The woman was no better, if anything, SHE WAS WORSE. She made my father move three times because each area was "RESERVED" for someone "IMPORTANT ". AFTER ALL THIS HAPPENED, my anxiety went off, I ran out. I thought I was going to be able to rejuvenate and recconnect with myself. The volunteers ruined my experience. The food was clean and the trail for the hike was beautiful. If anything, find a beautiful lake or creek yourself to meditate. This is not it.

Mila H.

Yelp
Volunteered here for an advance program. First day, I was wondering why I did it. All the volunteers and participants slept in a big dome, "Mahima." Wish we had a better place to stay and more privacy. After the second day, we became like family and had a great time. Def. worth doing 1x a year. Everyone was polite and nice. No beating around the bush. They let you know how they want things done. It was a great experience. Will be returning with my family, this time will be booking a room. Look forward to advancing my practices with their programs.

Omar B.

Yelp
Largely, paces like this can only be found in India, but now we have an opportunity to visit such a place so close to home. This is a magnificent place, and a tremendous gift for us in the USA. Here I was provided with the opportunity to experience being in consecrated spaces and I felt elevated to a higher state of mind, body and energy. It is a place that has to be experienced!

Evan A.

Yelp
I have been here numerous times and it has served as the location for the most profound experiences of my life. My relationship with this place has transformed over the last couple years and, while service could always improve since it is run by volunteers (me being a volunteer myself) which no qualification other than willingness, this place is truly special. The campus is absolutely gorgeous but more important are the methods which are being offered here. They have without a doubt transformed my life in magical and significant ways. I'm looking forward to coming here for years to come, for the rest of my life and I urge you to come take a program and see for yourself. I have had frustrating experiences with service, not necessarily here at the US center but in the India Ashram, but all of that pales in comparison to the beauty of the volunteers, of the consecrated spaces, and most importantly the spiritual path that Sadhguru has unfolded for all who are willing/seeking. The blessedness of this place is truly tangible and will always hold a dear space in my mind and heart.

Yelp
I try to visit this special getaway at least once a year. It's a place where I can recharge and rejuvenate, somehow more than just being on "vacation." The land itself is gorgeous -- I went this January and the waterfalls were at their peak. There are beautiful hiking trails with soft leaf-carpeted floor; I love taking silent walks where your feet don't even make a sound. More than just the natural beauty, though, there is a quality to the atmosphere that quietly affects me as the days pass. My face becomes brighter, my breath slows. The schedule includes daily meditation, and inside the big, dome-like meditation hall there is a warmth and nurturing quality to the energy that makes it feel easy and natural to sit and close my eyes. I have made friends there over the years too, with the wonderful people who live there and volunteer to make this space a spiritual hub for others. I always leave feeling like I've learned something new, how to make sunflower seed tea from scratch, or perhaps something internal, like how to let go of an old grudge. Truly one of my favorite places to simultaneously relax and energize myself!

Yelp
I usually visit the Isha Institute at least once a year. It is a perfect getaway for me to take a break from life in the big city. I always find it very refreshing and always come back fully recharged. The huge meditation hall is great for daily meditation practices. There are a lot of hiking trails with waterfalls/bluffs with amazing views.

Yelp
The Isha Institute of Inner-Sciences is one of a kind. Just sitting inside the Mahima meditation hall transported me to a different world of peace and serenity, even when I had no clue about what meditation was. Spent 4 days attending a yoga program there which changed my life! Don't miss the food and the trek to the waterfall while your there. If you are a meat lover and have pre-conceived ideas about veggie food, you are in for a surprise.

Yelp
Amazing amazing place! So serene and peaceful. Great for a spiritual retreat or just to take a break from fast paced life. Always a treat to come back here. Plenty of nature around for hiking and sports activities.

Yelp
I have been to III a few times now as a participant and volunteer for BSP, and I am looking forward to returning. Being at III has given me the opportunity to step away from the business of everyday life, quiet my mind and connect with a greater dimension and profoundness of life. I have yet to explore the vastness of this beautiful space and deeply desire to return for a journey on the sacred walk and more. For the little that I have seen, by proximity and being in its presence, this place has a certain energy that made me feel connected to life and more alive and I can't wait to have a greater taste of life. The programs always have me leaving more energized and vibrant and I would recommend anyone come just to get a feel of the space or by taking one of the programs.

Yelp
I come here at least a few times a year for relaxation and rejuvenation. They have great vegetarian wholesome meals, beautiful hikes, and wonderful meditation and yoga programs. I can't recommend this place enough, it's been life changing.

Jeffery S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stay at iii for the first time. It was a overnight celebration where we mediated and danced all night it was a very powerful experience that i'll never forget. The food was amazing and very unique. The space is very supportive for meditation and makes it very natural. The program i took provided me with a effective practice. I cant believe the transformation it has made in my life. I had amazing experience when I went to see the overlook of the Cumberland plateau.it was very high and peaceful. Cooling down in the waterfalls topped the hole experience. Don't forget your you'r bathing suite! finally the volunteers at iii are so friendly and make every part of your stay enjoyable and productive.
