So, you undoubtedly came to QENP to see lions up a tree. So did I. What I did not realise was that this camp was as every bit a destination stop as the lions! Wonderful.
On the way to our 'tent' our host had to shoo a buffalo away, and as we sat down outside the tent enjoying a drink, an Elephant went rampaging through the undergrowth across the river. It was an idyllic experience and one that I'll remember.
On the subject of experience, the restaurant was first rate. Service was fast and with the professionalism I came to expect of the Uganda tourist training (most excellent). We are still trying to work out how to cook one of their fish dishes! Drinks were plentiful - and very cold.
Our staff were just that right side of attentive - there when you wanted them, friendly, but with enough distance that you could enjoy the experience feeling as if you and yours were alone.
All in all, a very strong recommendation from myself and my family. Visit them. You will not regret it. (I'll post photos when I can find some)
