We were here six years ago and were impressed by the experience, this place continues to deliver great food and great service.
Their seasonal menu is packed with interesting dishes that includes oyster, Otoro sushi, caviar, tempura, crab meat, A5 wagyu beef from Kumamoto, green lip abalone (for those chose not to have beef), Murray cod, duck and dessert. They have a good wine and sake selection, we went with two types of sake that complement the dishes well.
They are using a bit more local ingredients like seafood but still getting some top products from Japan (like beef and blue fin tuna)
There’re only 12 counter seats, the chef and team cook right in front of us so it’s really enjoyable to see how it’s all done. The service is attentive and polite, really feel pampered. It’s advisable to be slightly early as to enjoy the whole experience, there’s a nice waiting area.
We’ll be back for the next season’s menu.
