Ishizuka

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful dining experience at Ishizuka. The food was beautifully presented and tasted just as good as it looked. Each dish felt like a thoughtful work of art, with delicate flavors and a beautiful sense of balance. The pacing between courses was perfect, enough time to appreciate each one without feeling rushed. I highly recommend the non-alcoholic drink pairing, it elevated each course and was absolutely worth it. We will definitely be returning!! One small note: we arrived less than 10 minutes early, as did a few others, and it felt a bit awkward having to stand and wait to be seated. It would be great if there were a more welcoming protocol for early arrivals.

I visited Ishizuka for the Omurice event on March 25, and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was so inviting. I will definitely be back to try more from their menu. It’s a great place for anyone looking for a unique and memorable dining experience. Highly recommend.

Absolutely flavour and texture was 💯 across all the courses. The ingredients, thought and detail in plating, taste and service was impeccable. I was treated to many seasonal ingredients that were new for me and cooking technique I've never seen before. As someone who enjoys trying new flavours, this was a experience like no other. Worth a visit at least once for a special occasion!

Hands down, one of the best dining experiences in Melbourne. From food to service, everything was impeccable. Highly recommend the Toro Nigiri along with the add-ons which were the Toro Gunkan, Salmon Roe Gunkan. The courses progressed each time in terms of taste and presentation. The Non- Alcoholic pairing was great with the menu. We mentioned briefly that this was an early Valentines Dinner and they were kind and thoughtful enough to give us an extra dessert course at the end of our meal. We were very full and satisfied by the end of our dinner.

The 11-course menu is a thoughtfully curated journey, with highlights such as the delicate sashimi and the indulgent A5 Wagyu with truffled pumpkin. Each dish is a masterclass in balance and technique, while the serene ambiance adds to the sense of occasion. Service is attentive and knowledgeable, guiding diners through the experience with precision. While the meal is undoubtedly exquisite, the high price tag places it firmly in the realm of special occasions. Nonetheless, Ishizuka is an exceptional dining experience that truly elevates Japanese cuisine in Melbourne.

Extremely good service, fresh fish and vegetables. The wait staff and chefs were extremely attentive - even noticing little details like which hand you use as your dominant one when eating, and would place utensils on the correct side. They explain each dish in detail, and you are able to watch them prepare the meals. Extremely flexible with dietary options and prepare a custom menu before you arrive, such attention to detail. One of the best experiences for dine in Japanese.

Can't find the right words to describe how wonderful our experience was. Service was top notch! Chefs were knowledgeable in introducing dishes all throughout, whilst waitstaff were very attentive to the smallest details. Looking forward to dining again in the future 🙂

Absolutely outstanding! Surpassed our expectations in every way. The food was incredibly delicious and fresh, the staff were courteous and a bit cheeky (I asked why they used a specific ingredient and got a cheeky, "because it's delicious!" They gave me a proper answer after.) I would highly recommend to anyone.
