The food here was pretty good but didn’t wow us. The taste was there but the pastries and fillings were quite dry. I pretty much soaked it in tahini to make up for the dryness. Also, we split 4 pastries, 3 beef and one chicken. The three beef ones tasted nearly the same, we couldn’t tell a difference between two of them, and the third one (the brisket) was definitely the best. We also have the chicken, which was pretty dry, but that’s expected as they are using chicken breasts. The starters were really good. We got the salad, which was well seasoned/dressed and had a variety of toppings that added to the dish and we got the potatoes, which reminded me of a better version of patatas bravas from Barcelona. They were well seasoned and came with two delicious sauces that rounded out the dish. Overall it was the restaurant was really good. There are many options around and this is probably one of the better ones in the area. I recommend.

Great place, good food, amazing people! Definitely one of the best places to taste “shamborch” (locally baked pastry with meat). High quality food and nice selection of salads, simple menu with choices of local bear. Music at the background and the atmosphere of the Jerusalem market makes this place special.

Great place very close to Machane Yehuda market. Kosher place. Fantastic food. The shambushaks are delicious and very filling. I had the brisket (A+). It was soft, juicy, and delicious. My partner had the tongue (A+). They had a mint and coriander sauce which was magnificent.

Always eating at this place while in Jerusalem. Cosy in Israeli way, it serves delicious pies with all kinds of meat. Love their home fries. Was surprised to get Shepherds Pie without the cheese, but even this dish was delicious

Brisket was amazing. Syrian kebab ground beef was good but not as epic. The sauces and condiments we got on the side were fantastic. Could not decide on which beer and the server brought some to taste. Ambiance is casual. It’s crowded and loud. There’s room to sit at the bar and watch the baking of the pies. Also seating outside.

Good pastry filled with your choice of meat or veggies. I would recommend to ask them NOT to put and mashed potatoes inside the pastry, in my opinion it takes the dish down in flavors. The place it self is clean and service is quick and straight to the point. Usually the place is very packed with a mixed crowd of people from young to old.

So, i have been told that it's one of those places you eat and get delighted by the food... Based on the crowd it was really looks like it is... IT WAS ABSOLUTELY NOT!! Nice food but very small dishes that won't stop a real man to be hungry but will just motivates his appetit instead... The salads that comes with the main course aee tiny and looks like it's for a puppet house. The price are definitely expensive for what you get - only a kind of bred with a vit of meat inside... A big disappointment. I won't return again. Chance the service was good and kind to avoid the 1 star rating.

LOVED it. As an Asian I have never tried Syrian food before in my life, and thank you to this place I have a very good impression on the cuisine! Shamburak is a stuffed pastry with a crispy outside with juicy fillings inside. I have picked the brisket and it is so good, well marinated brisket (can’t taste the smoked beer flavor though) with onions and herbs inside. Price not cheap, but worth it! If you go as a group, can also order a salad on the side as this can be a bit meaty and oily.
