"On my first trip to Rome, I did as the tourists do: paid my respects at the Colosseum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Vatican, and no fewer than a dozen gelato shops. But the memory that lingers strongest a decade later is of boarding a nondescript commuter train to Parioli with my friends to visit the Moschea di Roma, the largest mosque in Europe. Built in 1994 with the blessing of Pope John Paul II, it is a tranquil escape from the eternal frenzy of the Eternal City."

Mosques are truly special places. They're not just places of worship, but also serene sanctuaries where we find peace and solace. The beautiful architecture, the soothing atmosphere, and the sense of community make mosques a source of happiness for many.

MashaaAllah. Everyone who goes to Rome should visit this mosque. It needs restorations because it has been established since 1995. I hope they do restorations as soon as possible.

Wonderful mosque in Rome. I found even friends there. Recommend for jumah prayer. Parking available near the mosque. Hootba is in arabic and italian and they are not in a hurry :) you can go to the jumah prayer actually when its time start. You ll not be late:) after the prayer i was back at the work until 3pm (20min driving)

Beautiful masjid just outside of Rome. It took us about 20 minutes in a taxi from Vatican City. It was a weekday afternoon when we visited and the guard at the entrance mentioned it is only open for Jummah during the week. Something to keep in mind. Worth visiting although difficult to get to via public transport.

I'm really shocked at the state of this mosque. So called "largest in Europe", but very moldy and broken! You cannot even get inside during prayer times because the intercom bell is broken, the phone number is not working, and no one will open for you! Yet management members have 2 cars that are worth at least 50,000 euros each! Where do they get that money from? Check where your donations are going to! Shame on them, may Allah punish them!
