Island Life Hostel

Amazing stay! The staff were super friendly and welcoming, the location was perfect, and everything was very clean. Overall a great experience , I’d highly recommend and am looking forward to coming back!

Great hostal, Great vibe. Amazing owner. They offer dorms with and without aircon. Also Great Communication for activities in the City. It‘s worth it!

Perfect location for a good price. The beds sre comfortable and the rooms with AC are truly worth it, in my opinion. The volunteers are very nice and kind, special thanks to German, who went beyond his way to help me. It would be beneficial if the volunteers could use the kitchen or at least for some cooking appliences to be available, as well as giving a more varied breakfast, but those sre only details. All and all it is s great place to stay. I would recommend.

Lovely, friendly atmosphere in a convenient location close to everything. Great happy hour specials. Clean and stylish rooms with a safe and towels supplied. Hot water! 😃 Chris and the team were excellent. The dogs were sweet. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend!

The hostel was great, but at the checkout, they asked for a suspicious amount of money, which I couldn't verify because of a power outage. They said they would contact me when the power would come back but they never did. Can't put more than 2 stars in those conditions.

I stayed in the personal room and the shower had hot water, AC and bed was comfortable. Jeremy is a very friendly and kind at reception and I even had a late check in and check out and he accommodated graciously! So grateful for his generosity and kindness- he truly aims to make the atmosphere great for all travelers.

Great location! It’s right at the zona colonial so most attractions in Santo Domingo are within walking distance. It’s pretty close to several bus stations too. The WiFi worked great, and the free breakfast was delicious and filling. There’s a bar downstairs where you can easily meet people. The staff were all friendly and helpful, though some volunteers don’t seem to know much about the city. Also most of the lockers in the dorm rooms are broken. These should be repaired/ replaced for security.

Really nice place. Very friendly staff. The location is very close to a bunch of attractions and local clubs. Special shout out to Chris and Guillia.
