Marhaba 👋 I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Prince Islands Museum in Istanbul, and I must say, it was a captivating experience that offered a fascinating glimpse into the rich history of these enchanting islands. Situated on Büyükada, the largest of the Prince Islands, this museum truly stood out as a hidden gem. Upon entering the museum, I was immediately struck by its charming ambiance. Housed in a beautifully restored historical building, the museum seamlessly blends traditional Ottoman architecture with modern exhibition spaces. The attention to detail in the design and layout creates a warm and inviting atmosphere, setting the stage for an immersive journey through time. The museum's collection is a treasure trove of artifacts, documents, and photographs that shed light on the captivating history of the Prince Islands. From the early Byzantine era to the Ottoman Empire and beyond, the exhibits provide a comprehensive overview of the islands' cultural, social, and political significance throughout the centuries. Whether you're a history enthusiast or simply curious about the region, the museum offers a diverse range of exhibits that cater to various interests. One of the highlights of my visit was the interactive displays, which allowed visitors to engage with the exhibits in a hands-on manner. From touchscreens providing in-depth information to multimedia presentations showcasing historical events, these interactive elements added a dynamic dimension to the museum experience. I particularly enjoyed the virtual reality section, where I had the opportunity to virtually explore the islands as they appeared in different time periods.

My judgement might be clouded by being in an extremely good mood after visiting island but I enjoyed visiting the museum enormpusly. It is a simple but a pleasant place. Museum guardian is an amazing person with whom we had a lengthy conversation (with the help of Google Translate of course :). He is kind positive and welcoming. Highly recommend going there yourself!

Located on the east shore of the island, as its name suggests, this museum is dedicated to the history of the Prince Islands Opened in 2010, here you can learn various information about the islands, from their history to their architecture, including the flora and fauna found there. Definitely worth a visit, price is just 10TL (february 2020), and it's even FREE on wednesdays !

The museum was acceptable, it very small one but had plenty interesting stuff to see, like the fish head. On the walls you find information about the history of this place ( writing in English and Turkish) also you have some clips on tv about the finding of some items.

I really liked this museum. You can find various objects and pieces. I strongly recommend to visit. But it is a bid sad to see the minorities of islands are very old. Prince islands are beatiful with ethnic richness.

It is a nice museum if you are interested in the history of the islands. There are some historical artifacts but most items are more recent, like early 1900s. Lots of things to read, sometimes too much or repetitive. The last section, which probably occupies a third of the entire museum is dedicated to islands in the literature, but it is about all kinds of islands and not Prince's Islands specifically, so it wasn't that interesting for me.

Very nice Museum where you can discover the secrets of the Islands. You can see old books or lists and wonderful chests. Wednesday is free entry! Very cool!
