Islas Secas Resort

Islas Secas is the most amazing resort we have ever been to and the entire staff played a huge role in making our trip so special. I would love to list everyone who played a part of making the trip so special but I would feel terrible if I left someone out. Every single staff we interacted with and those that were behind the scenes (ie. someone did our laundry daily) were incredibly kind and attentive. We arrived to the island by boat (1.5 hour ride - part of the adventure!) and were greeted by whales, sea turtles, and a very friendly staff with drinks and fresh fruit. Erin Green at Pique Travel had booked us in a Tented Casita but when we arrived we found out that not only were we the only guests for the week, but they had upgraded us to the Casita Sombras. The room was beautiful with the most incredible views and a private plunge pool overlooking the water. The food was amazing - every single meal, picnic, snack. The chefs were very talented. I loved the 5 course dinners - the portions were small and we got to sample lots of different dishes. It seemed like every night I had a new favorite dish (prawn lasagna, lobster wontons, prawn paella, etc! and I cannot forget to mention the fresh baked breads that we thoroughly enjoyed!)| We love adventures and we made the most of what Islas Secas has to offer. We went scuba diving each day, we saw eagle rays, white tip reef sharks, guitar fish, sea turtles, fish galore, etc. and we could hear humpback whales singing during each dive! It was magical! We went on nature cruises (but every time we went out on one of their boats felt like a nature cruise because we saw whales and cool birds every time!), kayaked, sea bobbed, e-foiled, went fishing, snorkeled, and took and incredible day trip to Coiba National Park. One of our afternoon dives was canceled because of some questionable weather in the distance so they whisked us off to the spa for the best massages we have ever received! On our last night there, they set up the most beautiful sunset cruise (where the whales made another special appearance!), followed up by a very special dinner complete with special messages in a bottle from our son, daughter and parents wishing us a happy anniversary. All the special touches really made this trip memorable. We are so grateful for the memories we created on this special trip!

Isla Secas is a magnificent Archipelago with a 5-star level of service and adventure offering!!! They happily accommodated our group of 12 adults and 12 kids that were aged 2-13. The older kids were better able to utilize all activities offered. The team was stellar, warm, and welcoming. The food was incredible, the mixology drinks offered were fantastic, the yoga was the best ocean view and technique I’ve experienced. Don’t forget to visit the most soothing and tranquil spa! You are surrounded by nature which is unique especially with that level of service and luxury they provide. Do not hesitate to book a stay at Islas Secas as it will be your favorite vacation.

Islas Secas is a true paradise on earth! The conservational efforts demonstrated by ownership gives you a taste of untouched beaches and undisturbed ocean sea life . Sea shells are abound, the fishing is incredible, the diving and snorkeling is teaming with sea life and whale appearances were frequent during our trip. The absolute beauty of the archipelago is a large part of the experience but where Isla Secas really shines is the attentivness and genuine care the Staff puts in to make every guest feel special. We travelled with a large group and every staff member learned each of our names and took the time to make every single one of us feel special, all the way down the infants in our group. The service began from the moment we landed in Panama City and didn't end until we were all the way back home in the US, still offering help and recommendations days after we departed the island. The food was absolutely delcious with great options for every meal and the accomodations give you a taste of the island life while being luxurious. On a distant private island they have figured out how to merge seclusion with absolute 7 Star Service. One of my days started with a 60 foot beautiful dive, followed by a fishing excursion, getting dropped off on an empty beach for lunch and snorkeling and ending the day with a fantastic dinner. You can be as active as you can handle or relax and let the staff pamper you, the options are plenty. Truly a remarkable and memorable vacation and experience!!! Will absolutely go again and highly recommend to anyone that is lucky enough to find this gem -

Islas Secas is so special. The resort is amazing, the staff is incredible and the experiences are so memorable. Everything is individualized and designed just for you from scuba, to fishing to wake surfing to picnicking! The food and drinks are off the charts. My son has serious dietary allergies and they could not have been more careful and accommodating providing separate baskets of gluten free bread and even using a different grill so the meat and shellfish never touched! We had the best multi-generational vacation and could not have been more thankful for the care and attention from the second we arrived.

Amazing friendly service, gourmet food at every meal and some of the most welcoming staff we have ever met. We love the outdoors and the ocean. Good diving, snorkeling, fishing, boating,kayaking, and nature tours. All graciously curated by the superb team.

This was a truly magical getaway. Everything about this place was top notch. Every dinner was a 5 course amazing meal. Didn't have one bad bite in 4 days. Breakfast was delicious - the chiliquiles were to die for! And the staff could not have been more accommodating. I am still shocked at how the staff could possibly remember my name ANY my coffee order every morning. The activities were so fun....had never been wake surfing before - what a blast! I highly recommend this place!

I took my girlfriend (Katie) of 7 years here as a surprise engagement trip and it did not disappoint. I had originally planned an elaborate trip to Lapland Finland and stumbled across Islas Secas and decided to switch the entire trip and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. ||We went down for three nights at the end of July 2023. We flew into David and stayed the night at a hotel there where someone from Islas Secas picked us up the next morning and drove us to our boat transfer where we met Benny, the conservation manager and Manuel, who seems to know the area better than anyone. Benny was incredible the entire stay and so full of knowledge about the local wildlife and nature. Just on the boat ride to the island we saw multiple whales and detoured our route without question to try to see them closer…we hadn’t even checked in yet and the nature and the service was blowing our mind. We also saw several sea turtles, various fish, and local bird species on the ride there and again Benny knew all there was to know of each one and was excited to share.||Once we arrive to the dock of the main island we were greeted by one of the coordinators, I’ve forgotten your name but she was amazing and made the whole experience amazing and fine tuned every little detail for the activities and the engagement itself. ||The dock is also located by the activities lodge where we met Fabio, the activities manager, who showed us the endless list of activities and locations around the archipelago we could explore. ||We then took a tour of the property from the main lodge that sits right in the beach looking out at crystal clear water and beautiful landscape of the island. We were introduced to Jose, Karla, and Martin. These three made each meal and drink feel like we were surrounded by friends and felt right at home. They were so talented and so passionate about making our experience perfect and unforgettable. They far exceeded that goal. To this day we talk about all of these people mentioned in this post by name. We will never forget any of you because you gave us a truly once in a lifetime experience. ||Finally, we met Antonio, the director of the property. He just like the rest, amazing and solely focused on making sure everything was perfect . He led us to the pool area on top of a hill with an infinity edge that looks out at the amazing landscape. Then they drove us up to our casita where once again everything was stunning and perfect. It was the perfect blend of luxury and nature.||They knew when I booked that I wanted to propose on this trip and I didn’t have to say or do anything more than that. they literally handled the set up, location, transit, and even had Benny boat us to the location so he could use his photography skills to capture the moment. We arrived to our own private beach with chocolate covered strawberry’s, champagne, and charcuterie picnic already set up. After I popped the question we were handed a walkie talkie and told to call when we wanted to come back and were left to have the beach all to ourselves.||Long story short everything and I mean EVERYTHING was stunning and perfect. I have never experienced anything even close to as amazing as this property and the team that runs it. They are truly passionate about their guests experience and excited to share this archipelago with them. We will be back and are actively telling our friends and family it’s a must try experience. ||Thank you to all the mentioned team members and the ones we might’ve forgotten to mention you all gave us memories we will cherish forever.

Truly 5 star experience. The accommodations were outstanding and the staff was amazing! We had an epic trip. We loved the food and all the activities were very well planned and organized. We would gladly return. I highly recommend for friends and families.
