A unique experience! Situated on a beautiful small island, the distillery boasts magnificent views. Staff will give advice on sights to see and places to visit. The hospitality is first rate, the rooms are really comfortable and the welcome dram is nice touch. Great local and seasonal food in the restaurant, tours of the distillery by knowledgeable staff. What's not to like?

I’ve traveled extensively. This is one of the best stays. The staff is fantastic. The food and drink wonderful. The views outstanding. Makes for a perfect getaway for couples as well. Peaceful but not too quiet. I was worried about my interior room and my fears were unfounded. Very comfortable, light and accommodating with a welcome dram of whiskey as well!

We spent a lovely weekend at the distillery and enjoyed the service immensely. The restaurant has wonderful views out over to Skye and the food was excellent. We stayed in room 4, which although spotless, has just one window which opens just a few centimetres and is not one of the front-facing rooms with the postcard views. All the staff, be it at reception, the bar or the restaurant, were wonderful - friendly and attentive ! The "guests only" lounge was a highlight - peaceful and cosy with a spectacular view.

If you’re already in the western highlands or on Skye then access to Raasay is really easy via the short ferry ride. The distillery is literally a few hundred metres from the port and presents very nicely with ample parking and a subtle blend of traditional and modern architecture. Our stay was for a Cuilin view room including dinner, breakfast and tour. The rooms are done to a really good modern chic standard with one of the most comfortable beds we’ve experienced in hotel accommodation in the last 2 years and a very powerful shower. The shop, tour experience centre, bar and dining space area again all completed to a lovely standard if a little cool/hard in appearance. The tour was standard whisky tour style however in was greatly enhanced by having a well prepared Kiwi host who spoke with knowledge and confidence. The evening meal was excellent with some twists on the preparation and presentation of common ingredients and close attention to our dietary preferences. Best of all there was a wine selection that provided quality choice being around twice the cost you could purchase these wines in your local shop rather than the 3x that seems to have become the norm post brexit/pandemic. Sadly we were the only people staying that evening that retired to the bar after dinner however our barman of Latvian heritage was very welcoming and produced an excellent negroni. Also there was an opportunity to meet and thank the chef and team and discuss our idea to let windows into the kitchen or pass to provide a dual vista of views for guests - beautiful scenery on one side and culinary creativity on the other. Breakfast came after a fantastic nights sleep, aided greatly by the bed and the serenity of the location. A tasty full breakfast (vegetarian) was selected to complement the standard continental selection and the coffee was endless and easy to access. A few minor points should always be expected no matter where you visit so as we mention these please bear in mind overall we had a fantastic stay. Room: the windows were dirty especially the side on (Room 1), chip on bathroom mirror and a really poor attempt at caulking the base of the shower tray. DiningSpace: as mentioned it’s smart however a little lacking in ambience for a relaxing/romantic evening meal. Shop: although there were a few notifications about restrictions on alcohol purchases (nothing before 10am) had it not been for our favourite Latvian barman reminding us about this after we mentioned our intention to catch the Sunday morning 10am ferry we would have missed out on purchasing a few bottles. Perhaps it would have been a good idea to have reminded people of this restriction as they signed the chit for their evening meal? As I said minor things however hopefully they could be addressed to keep the standards as high as we had anticipated they would be, given the quality of the Raasay product and brand and the cost of the stay.

We had to eat here as we were booked at Raasay House Hotel on a Sunday and Monday when their own restaurant was closed. Food and service cannot be faulted. Only request would be to have facilities to offer tea/coffee at the end of your meal please?

Lovely distillery experience. From taking the ferry to the island and the relaxing walk to the cozy and beautiful distillery. I liked the explanation, the tour and the tasting. Even back home in the Netherlands I keep enjoying! Would have loved to purchase an extra bottle at the airport, but sadly it wasn't available...

Beautiful hotel and distillery. So clean, both in design and literally. The staff are incredibly warm, friendly and helpful. The views of Skye and the Cuillin are breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious, including a beautifully presented, fresh porridge. It was a generous portion and my good lady couldn’t finish it but really wanted to take it with. The chef boxed it up and even presented it in a take-away format in a way that showed care and attention to detail. Which is something I’d say the applies to the whole place. The stay included: breakfast, welcome drinks, good quality hot drinks in the room, a few drams worth of whiskey also in the room. Tunnocks tea cakes and caramel wafers in the games room with amazing views of Skye again. There are also lots of whiskey tours you can do. Very quiet, peaceful and serene; along with an extremely comfortable bed: we both slept well (past the time we’d intended). I’d say close to a 10/10

Great tour & tasting at this distillery. It's a much better experience than touring the bigger distilleries. It was easy to get to & from Isle of Skye on the ferry. Would highly recommend.
