Tucked away on a hillside, this charming B&B boasts artist-themed rooms with sea views, a hot tub, and inviting terraces for a cozy escape in Taormina.
Not as nice as hoped from previous reviews. The staff, breakfast and wider setting were lovely but rooms were disappointing. I don’t mind basic fittings, but the building has a damp problem meaning rooms smelt musty and visible mould spots on walls. We were first given a room with a bathroom built into the natural rock, which looked interesting but meant everything smelt a bit like an underground cave… we asked to move rooms and the staff were nice about this. Second room better but still some mould on walls, peeling paint in bathroom etc (photos are from this second room). The bed was also incredibly hard- hardest I’ve ever come across in a hotel, including very cheap hotels! No compensation offered at checkout nor did they ask if we were happier with the second room.
Maybe the damp issue was particularly bad as it had been raining a lot when we stayed. Probably it’s better in summer and the terrace/view etc were lovely.
I regret the amount we paid for an en-suite room as the rooms with corridor bathrooms were almost half the price, making it more of a bargain by Taormina standards. Would only recommend this hotel if you need a cheap but friendly option and are prepared to have an external bathroom. The more expensive en suite rooms are absolutely not worth it.

Pros: The staff were all wonderful, friendly and helpful. Central location is ideal. Stunning views. Decent breakfast. Hot tub in our room was fun.
Cons: Very noisy even with earplugs in so they must have thin walls - doors opening and closing, people talking in their rooms, plumbing, people moving objects around. Small bed and hard mattress. Small towels. The parking space is tiny and stressful to squeeze in and out of. The rooms are dated and fittings in the rooms are low quality.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. From the cozy bed and the lovely terrace view to the lush greenery and charming gardens, it all felt very homely. We also made use of the rooftop, which featured comfy beds, a hot tub, and a shower. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Michele, the host, warmly welcomed us and provided great suggestions and historical insights about the town. The breakfast was delicious and offered various options. Lastly, the location was ideal, being conveniently close to everything.

Had an amazing stay at Isoco Guest House in Taormina in May 2024.
We stayed for a week in the 'Botticelli' room. The room was pretty big, with a mini-kitchen, coffee maker, kettle, fridge / mini-bar, en-suite, balcony (sea view) and an anti-room (handy for shoes).
The whole guest house is very spacious and comfortable with outdoor and indoor seat and a hot tub. It is well located just outside the busy town centre, which suited us perfectly. It is a five minute stroll to the bustling centre with tons of shops and restaurants, but on a quiet street accessed through a stone arch.
We had a car for the week, which was great for exploring the area, but driving in Taormina takes a couple of days to get used to. Top tip - make sure you book parking with Michele in advance. We had a parking place right across the street in a private car park with an electronic gate.
Michele makes all his guest very welcome, with a welcome drink and guide to the town. His recommended restaurants were excellent. Breakfast is indoors or outdoors and is the chance to chat with the other guests to discuss yesterday's findings and today's plans.
A wonderful place to stay if you want to experience the elegance of Taormina and the surrounding area.

We stayed here for 2 nights and it was absolutely incredible! The host Michele is really friendly and helpful, as well as all of the staff. The view from our room was stunning, it was clean, comfortable, central location. We were even able to use the rooftop and the whole garden, which was full of greenery and cozy atmosphere. The breakfast was tasty and had different options. We would definitely come back here without a doubt!

We had a wonderful time at Isoco Guest House- we did not want to leave. The house is on a beautiful and secluded street that feels more private and personal, but is only a few minutes away from the Main Street (and the cable car down to the beaches!)
Our room was perfectly decorated- we loved the attention to detail and the unique touches. Every day, we came back to fresh snacks/pastries on our pillow. The air conditioning was excellent, and we thank the hosts for letting us Americans run the coolest air in the brutal Sicilian heat.
The terrace was absolutely beautiful. We loved the canopy beds and the lanterns, and spent our nights outside looking at the beautiful view of the coast. It looked like something out of a movie. We could not ask for a better stay.
What made our experience was Michele and Tony. Michele was incredibly kind, accommodating, and provided us with a complete guide to Taormina and its must see activities. The care he takes for his guests does not go unnoticed. He is a professional at what he does, and we thank him so very much for his hospitality, attention to detail, and hard work. It certainly pays off.
My favorite part of the stay was Tony, the sweetest orange boy who stays at the guest house. He can be seen lounging in the shade of the canopy beds on the terrace or presiding over the stairs. I loved spending time with him and seeing him around. If anyone visits and has the pleasure of meeting him, give him lots of pets for me!
If you are planning a trip to Taormina, do yourself a favor and stay here. Nobody does it better.

We recently stayed at a guesthouse in Taormina, Sicily, and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The guesthouse itself was charming and provided all the comforts we needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight of our visit, however, was the exceptional service we received from the staff.
Leonardo, who served us breakfast every morning, was particularly outstanding. His friendly demeanor and attention to detail made our mornings a delight. The breakfasts were delicious and beautifully presented, thanks to Leonardo's hard work and dedication.
We also want to extend our gratitude to Michel, the manager. Michel went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. His professionalism and willingness to assist with any requests made us feel truly welcome.
Overall, we highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone visiting Taormina. The combination of excellent service, wonderful staff, and a beautiful location made our stay unforgettable.

We had a fantastic time during our stay at the Isoco guest house. The guest house is located in a nice spot of the town, a few minutes walk to the busy town center and a supermarket around the corner yet in a quiet neighbourhood with amazing view of the coast as it's up the hill. Communication with the staff before arrival was very easy, as we have a 9months old daughter the guest house was able to provide a cot for us in our room and they made sure a staff member was around when we arrived (we arrived late in the evening after normal checkin hours). Michele the host welcomed us with cool drinks and gave us recommendations of local restaurants and things to do. The staff were very nice and helpful at all times, and the breakfast was very pleasant with great varieties. The rooms are cleaned everyday, We stayed in one of the rooms with private terrace on the the lower floor, the room is spacious and they have microwave and hob-handy for making light meals and baby food. The terrace is lovely with a brilliant view. Very relaxing in the evenings after a day exploring Toarmina. The rooms are completely soundproof-very helpful for our little one. We would definitely recommend Isoco for anyone visiting Sicily! And hope to come back to stay again in the not distant future!!
