These Two-In-One Convertible Bags Are a Travel Necessity

"Few travel bags are as innovative as this tiny-but-mighty crossbody option. When emptied and not in use, it can be easily stored away or conveniently carried in hand using the attached strap."

It's always a pleasure coming here. I have developed a wonderful relationship with Midori and the rest of the staff who are all super knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile for you even if you are new to the brand. It's nice not feeling pressured into a sale - this is the worst feeling I think anyone can get from high end brands. Seeing the clothes, getting the chance to feel their texture, or trying them on can either reinforce my desire to purchase or destroy it all together and I think that rings true with everyone - regardless of status. With the team here, it's a journey regardless of your state of mind. The best of these high end brand stores are like really good speakeasy's IMHO 🤔 - you don't keep going for the drinks (fashion items), you keep going because the bartenders (staff) are amazing at what they do and how they treat you. It's a two way street of kindness, so be kind to the folks here and they will treat you like royalty.

This store had more inventory for men than the stores in Tokyo! Incredible location with a clearance section that has excellent deals. One of the folks working there, Debra, was so incredibly kind to us. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, museum like experience. Can be intimidating but staff is kind and helpful. Troy was especially nice. Would definitely go back!

What a lovely store, spacious and staff are welcoming. The store manager Marni is super nice. I came for an alternation on a dress I bought online, Marni even helped to drop off my dress in my building after the alteration and left me a sweet note. Will certainly visit the store more often.

What can I say, the shop is amazing, the staff is professional, friendly and not pushy. Nice to see people paying attention to their clients more than their phone. I will go back again and gain.

We visited Issey Miyake NY store during our trip and the experience was great - even better than the Ginza flagship store in Tokyo. Staff are super friendly and welcoming (Debra is the best! :) She even gave us some recommendations for other good shops in the area) Will definitely come back next time.

Google
Fun store, great staff. The selection is very curated (though they have more colors of most bags hiding in pull out drawers) and things are well organized. The store strikes a great balance of great service without being overbearing.

Yelp
Spend so much money here and the customer service is trash. They barely acknowledge you and everything seems like a chore for them. It's ridiculous. Get it together, show some level of human decency especially with that price tag.

Yelp
I absolutely adore Issey Miyake products but have been extremely disappointed with their customer service's response to the handles of my Large Rock Matte bag falling apart. I initially went by the Tribeca store to ask for help and was told to email the main customer service. They also said I would have to pay a fee to replace the handles. I sent photos of the handles, bag, guarantee card, receipt, and product number card but was told: "Some info about our return process: all repairs are handled through our Japan office, so we will coordinate with them to get the repair ready to go.  You'll need to send us the bag, and we will coordinate to have the straps replaced.  The process varies in length but the turnaround is generally around 2-3 months.  Just wanted to make sure we're all clear on the logistics." I think it's insane that I would have to send the whole bag just to get the straps fixed. And the wait time is bizarrely long. I then waited another 2 weeks before following up and was told "There is often some delay on the response rate when there are a lot of returns.  I will ask again and see if there has been any progress on this case." At this point, I may as well buy a fake Bao Bao bag on Madison Avenue and use those straps. It is so disappointing when a brand will not stand behind their own products.

Yelp
I have spent almost one hundred thousand dollars at this store, and despite that, when I call and try to get someone to send me photos of clothing, it is like dealing with mentally challenged people. Unless I go in there in person, it is IMPOSSIBLE to purchase from any of the fucked of salespeople -- and this means you, Jonathan -- how lazy are you? Issey and especially Masa, you have a completely lazy and messed up sales force. GET IT TOGETHER. I would rather travel to Japan and buy there then deal with the idiot sales team at Issey Tribeca.

Yelp
Came here for the SymbiosisO: Voxel/Issey Miyake Fashion/Art show and it was fabulous, darling. See link: http://www.coolhunting.com/culture/symbiosiso-voxel.php I could have sworn I saw Badgley Mischka there...or at least there were two guys who looked exactly like them. I died. It was your typical New York party...the guest list, the free cocktails, the cool dj spinnin' house music. Accomplished and energetic people all around, fashionistas, entrepreneurs, and me. I had such a good time. The clothing was delicately made, only Issey could create such luxurious, flowy fabrics. The installation art was edgy and made out of "voxels"-- meaning hexagon shapes, transformed into honeycombs, created from interactive materials simulated by touch. Cool, right? It was the perfect blend of high fashion meets downtown chic art. Felt so dang "Sex and the City" up in there. Did the whole standing in the middle of the road, posing to hail a cab in heels and a short dress. Oh yeah, I pulled out all the stops that night. Carrie Bradshaw would have been proud. That night rocked so hard. Unforgettable.

Yelp
Issey Miyake NY is a beautifully designed boutique with all Issey Miyake brands represented. The men's selection was excellent and our sales professional Deborah was very helpful as well as the rest of the team. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience and was happy that I made the visit and of course shopped. The architecture of the boutique itself is worth a visit!

Yelp
Issey Miyake is pure genius. I love everything he designs both for men and women. His fragrances are to die for. It's the only cologne and perfume my husband use.

Yelp
Cool clothes in a cool venue. Overpriced, duh. Great storefront on the building, though.

Yelp
No need to talk about the clothing as it one of the best brands ever! But on top of amazing clothing, the people there are fantastic! They know their products and love their products! You see it and feel it! I haven't spend a dollar yet there ( got tones of pleat please, their sexism live more afordable) and I still try things on and talk about clothes with my girl. They are all formidable!

Yelp
Well, I thought the springy flourescent hydrangeas in all the window boxes were absolutely divine. I guess I missed the clothes. I think they featured silkscreen.

Yelp
This nice flagship store carries all lines of Issey Miyake, the designer from Japan. The clothes have their own touch, which is special and different from the western designers. The staff is competent, nice and very helpful. I bought several items, and one item was tailored to my needs, with no fuzz about it at all. The store itself is also welcoming, modern and stylish. A good place to browse around and try things on. If you pay with a credit card, remember to authorize a larger amount with your credit card company.

Yelp
Beautiful store that carries the most amazing clothes from the great Japanese designer of stunning colorful and non-temporal garments with pleating that allow both flexibility of movement for the wearer as well as ease of care.

Yelp
It not just women's it has men's as well. Not very friendly staff but I adore his designs.
