Excellent cabin. Clean, simple, warm. Easy check in. Has a very well equipped communal kitchen. Enjoyed listening to local birds calling. Close to airport but not under flightpath. Saw the northern lights!!!! Highly recommend.

This was a perfect place to stay before our early fight out of Keflavik the next morning. The cottages had everything we needed and check in/out was smooth. The tv with netflix was a nice touch to watch a movie and wind down on the last night of our trip. Bed was comfy and the bathroom was spacious and well equipped. We would definitely stay here again!

8 minutes drive to the airport. A set of 5 or 6 tiny house cottages. Room with a bathroom is about it but very nice. Located in a field away from most everything. Considering the proximity to the airport, never heard or saw an airplane. Drive to the rental car lot was quick and easy for an early morning flight.

Location near the airport. We have a comfortable and restful stay in the cottage. The environment is so fresh, clean and quiet. There is Lupine just outside the room, a super nice view. We have a shared toilet with others, but the bathroom is so clean and spacious enough with a hair dryer, heater, shower gel and shampoo. Highly recommended!

We stayed just one night after we arrived in Iceland. We loved this place. Our private cabin was wonderful and the common area facility was stocked with everything we needed to make ourselves at home. We would stay again!

All about the location, perfect for the last night before you fly out if you have a morning flight. We spent the day around the Golden Circle on our own and didn't want to spend a lot of money on a room in Reykjavik when we really wouldn't have any time to appreciate the city and then deal with traffic and construction at the crack of dawn in order to make it to the airport. This place is 7 minutes away and we also had a great fish and chips dinner in a little family restaurant in the village. Only hiccup was we didn't get the email from them with the lock box code and this place doesn't have on site people. Our travel service were able to get it for us. Not fancy but clean and quiet.

We stayed at iStay Cottages on the evening of August 6, 2025. We chose to stay here due to its proximity to the Keflavik Airport and we had to be at the airport for 4:30am. The stay did begin with us not having our check-in information which we were partly to blame because I didn’t notice that it was never sent amongst all the other confirmations, etc. for this particular vacation. Unfortunately, when I tried to call, my travel SIM would not put the call through and my emails which I sent the day of our reservation went unanswered ( I later found out that the host only checks emails once a day). Thankfully the staff at Happy Camper near the airport let me use their phone and I was able to speak to the host and get everything sorted out. Apparently there is an ongoing issue with Expedia and their email messaging system. The host gave us the code for the key box and information about the use of the common space. Our cottage had a queen bed and a fold-down couch for our son, blackout blinds and a spacious bathroom with all the toiletries one would need. The common space had coffee, tea and a lot of items left by past guests which were made available for our use. There was every kitchen utensil, pot, device one could need to make a meal. There was a toaster, microwave, kettle, large fridge and stove. The beds were clean and comfortable. Although the cottages are near the airport, we rarely heard air traffic during our stay and had a great night's sleep. Check out was easy. All we needed to do was lock our door and drop the key in the drop box at the main building. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Great stay with cute cabin. Share restrooms were super clean. Great kitchen amenities are available for all. Less than 10 minutes from the airport. Couldn't be any happier without stay.
