Google
One the best places to eat in Zurich! It was one of my favourite restaurants in Switzerland! Great Italian food with affordable prices! I definitely recommend and enjoyed!!

Joyful Journeys

Google
Excellent Italian cuisine, clean, timeless and modern interior design, very friendly staff and a wine list with really good stuff for fair money on it. It's always a pleasure to come to this traditional restaurant, where guests can truly enjoy a great time.

Google
Friendly, almost all-Italian staff, and authentic Italian food...but a little bit meh. I lived in Naples for 2 years and have eaten in many places around Italy, and I don't think this restaurant would be terribly successful in Italy on the basis of their food alone. I got their famous gorgonzola gnocchi, which were very soft but not much to write home about. The tiramisu was OK but a bit dry. That being said, it's a fun spot that will please many.

Super expensive for what it's actually worth (even for Zurich). We went there as a group, and thus had the chance to try four different types of food (some you can see in the images below). Nothing was special about the taste. Probably any standard Italian restaurant in Zurich would offer the same quality for half the price. The menu is poorly designed, had a difficult time going through it. On the positive side, the waitress was friendly.

Google
The food is alright, to be honest I’ve had better true Italian experiences in Zurich. The waiter was a bit unknowledgeable about their own menu and we had to wait 45 minutes for our pasta (we had no starter) while other tables got their food before us.

Google
Relaxed genuine Italian restaurant. Really nice cheese and cold cuts Platter (supermisto Italia) as a starter, followed by glutenfree spaghetti á la Bigoli con barba di frate, vongole «Scardovari» e datterini. The pasta dish could have been more flavourful and with more "bang". Otherwise, great experience.

Nice Italian. This restaurant is located around 10mins away from the train station. The restaurant has lots of space for customers, despite the busy night there should still be space for you to be seated. The staff that served me and my family was nice. There wasn’t many English menus available when I arrived unfortunately. The menu was almost completely written in Italian despite being an “English” menu. Not too good for English speaking tourists. The prices of the food were quite expensive which is something that it usual in Switzerland. The food was good, not the best Italian I have eaten but good. The linguine with prawns was my favourite from what I had ordered, the fried beach crabs were nice too. Would I come back here? Maybe not.

Google
Great service but the food was underseasoned and super bland. The wine selection is great and also a sommelier who knows what he is talking about.

Yelp
I will be honest, it has been quite some time since I experienced the dining at Ristorante Italia. I can only say that being on a business trip by yourself in Zurich may not be the most exciting, but it does give opportunity to try places that I want to experience. I was not disappointed, as the staff seemed helpful and the food was great. The service is what I remember the most in that they were very hospitable. Give them a try and enjoy!!! I would go back if I'm ever back in Zurich.

Yelp
Quaint little place with small menu options. They seem to have a wide variety of salumi and cheese, but a more refined list of kitchen dishes. I got the linguini nere which came with tomato sauce and shrimp. I really liked it

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. The sauce on the rigatoni was amazing with a little kick and just the right amount of herbs. The pasta was also cooked perfectly al dents. The sauce for the twisted pasta was really good but could have been a bit less or lighter to make it easier to eat. Dinner * Caprese (Good) * Rigatoni with sausage (Excellent) * Twisted pasta in pesto (Good)

Yelp
Enjoyed the food. It was simple, nothing complicated. Service can be a bit slow but that's all of Europe I guess. You have to flag down the waiters. I ordered mixed salad (dressing could be a little less), pasta all'arrabbiata and chocolate gelato. All of them were good. I also tried out the wine dispenser which was cool - I tried a wine to taste and really try out the system. I would go again. Simple place, no frills.

Yelp
In Switzerland, especially in Zurich it is almost impossible to eat properly without paying much. However I think this restaurant is a great combination of both the price and the food quality. The food is authentic and the service is really nice. During the night it can be slightly crowded if you want to sit outside in the summer time. So making a reservation would be a good idea for this restaurant. I got the pasta with prawns, juicy rich and simulating. I would love to go back again just for that single dish. We also got some starter with potato and fish, which was also some kind new thing that we haven't tried before but we got used to the taste very quickly and liked it a lot. Absolutely a good place to drink and eat some authentic Italian food in the center of Zurich.

Yelp
I was craving Italian and wanted something on the fancy side. Several of my local buddies told me this is a must when in Zurich. They have a great patio but you really should make a reservation, locals know of this place. I ordered the Spaghetti and Arrabiata penne. The pasta was PERFECTLY al Dente. Huge plus. The sauce had the right amount of kick to it. I devoured both dishes. Check out my pictures. Good selection of wine too. We got a couple bottles, ask the server for recommendations. Heads up: This place is a little pricy, even for Zurich prices. We averaged like 50 Swiss Francs a person. Totally worth it. If you're in Zurich, Don't leave without having dinner here.

Yelp
If you come after 10pm, they sometimes stop serving the starters early and only service pastas. That's what happened to us but the pastas were awesome, so no complaints there! Just wish we could try more dishes. We each ordered 1 pasta and shared a dessert and sparking water. Price per person came out to ~$30 CHF. The rigatoni with pork ragu was our favorite pasta. I love that their pastas are al dente and sauces simple but delicious. Not expensive for Zurich standards so we'll definitely be back!

Yelp
Outstanding Italian cuisine. The menu of the day was heavy on venison; we ended up with a venison ragout, which was tender and savory, but was still distinctively not beef. Certainly mellow and not gamey --- perhaps farmed venison? The smaller plates we ordered --- pasta fagioli (potted pasta with beans) and risotto --- were savory and made you feel like you were visiting someone's family. Even the insalata mista and mortadella were nicely above average. Desserts were each good, and balanced each other nicely. The torta della casa was a fairly straight-ahead dense chocolate cake, and the tartufa di limoncello was bizarre --- crispy lemony outside, fluffy lemon fluff (somewhere between gelato and marshmallow), and a dense lemon-curd-jelly core. Service was excellent, attentive, and managed a health emergency from another customer with a nice balance of efficiency and aplomb. The reservation system involves a website, some text messages, and no waiting on hold --- I'm a fan. Their website even includes a Tetris game. Who does that?

Yelp
3.5 stars. Nice Italian restaurant that was still open when we needed a late night meal. The atmosphere was relaxed with good music. Prices and portions are typical of Swiss meals, meaning smaller and pricey. We all enjoyed our dishes.

Yelp
Arrived about 8:30 on a Wednesday evening and the place was full. The hostess told me it would be about a 15 minute wait so I had a seat at the (small) bar and a glass of wine. Sure enough, within 10-15 mins, I was seated. The menu starts with a very wide variety of cured meats and cheeses. I ordered a salami di Barolo that was excellent - a small appetizer plate of maybe a dozen slices of salami with a plate of good bread. The wines by the glass were all reasonable (CHF 7 - 12) and good. For my main, I ordered the spaghetti al'amatriciano. An excellent platter of perfectly cooked pasta with a rich cheese and tomato sauce. I wiped the plate with the remaining bread the sauce was s good. I thought about desert but was full. The full cost (with 3 glasses of wine) was CHF 66 with tip. Not cheap but it is Zurich. Would definitely return!

Yelp
We've really enjoyed our dinner at Ristorante Italia! The interior is kinda special, oldschool italian mixed with a futuristic bar:) The menu contained alot of dishes, I went for the bruscchetta with carcofi which was excellent, perfect starter. Followed up with pulpo, excellent meal, but the star was the probably richest chocolate cake I've ever had;)

Yelp
Many restaurants in Zurich are not open on Sundays, but we found this one through Yelp. We made reservations for 7:30 and were seated on time. We ordered first and second courses. The first course came out within a reasonable amount of time. It took a long time to get our main course, and my meal wasn't correct but was corrected quickly. The bottom line is the food was very good, the service left something to be desired.

Yelp
Authentic italien Restaurant in Zurich - went with Friends. One of them remembered his Grand Dad refering to the place as a well known italien Restaurant of his days. Well it sure presents its roots but without a touch of dust... Staff is very friendly, food simple but good quality. A place to go for an easy italien dinner with a variaty of Salami and other starters and an selection of main courses in the pasta section. I had the Risotto of the day which was very good. The waitress wad friendy and professional - they mixed up my order, corrected within 3 Minutes after apoligizing anf announcing the exact waiting time so I was able to decide on tge options. I still went for the Risotto with Funghi which came as announced, fresh and tasty. I'll be back.

Yelp
Creative Italian food. I was a little nonplussed by my lack of German and ended up ordering something where I couldn't translate a single ingredient. The dish turned out to be a nicely done duck breast on top of a saute of fava beans, peas, green and black olives and other stuff I couldn't identify. Service started out ok, but my server was assigned a table of 15 and the service understandably went down. Don't look for pizza on the menu--it's not that kind of place. Worth the trip - especially if you speak German or have a better translation app on your phone.

Yelp
My wonderful friend and her Swiss boyfriend took me here. At first I was skeptical and we seemed to walk forever to get here. But WOW, this place was AMAZING. I spent 5 weeks in Switzerland, and this was one of my absolute favorite restaurants. The food is fantastic, especially this one particular seafood linguine dish (Linguine nere con gamberi, panna e pomodoro). I also died over the Panna cotta - heavenly.

Yelp
We walked around the Bahnhofstrasse and around the Altstadt for a while and we wanted to have some Italian food. We literally walked up to this place. What a wonderful surprise. The waiter was very attentive and the food was excellent. As and appetizer we split some marinated Crevetten with garlic and hot peppers......exceptional. We also split a green salad, which was so tasty. My boyfriend had the pasta with the prawns, which I thought were perfectly seasoned, and I ordered a Pizza. Everything was great, from the service to the food.

Yelp
Found this restaurant after good reviews by others. I'm glad we found it. Really high-quality and tasty food. It was rather pricey, however that may be the norm for this city. But would definitely eat here again. Everyone in our party of nine loved the food.

Yelp
Food was excellent, service was beyond slow. They weren't full but the waiter seemed to forget we were there even after we reminded him twice

Yelp
Fantastic Italian dinner. Started off with an assortment of cheeses, their Barolo wine. A few of us got the Gnocchi, which was delicious. Service was polite and helpful. Overall a great experience and I'd definitely go back.

Yelp
I'm a regular here, and the food is - as always, with no exceptions - great and truly authentic. I'm italian and I really love this restaurant. the menu changes often, sometimes only slightly, and they have a strong "baseline" of their classic dishes. try everything !
