ITC Grand Chola, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Chennai

If you are looking for a place to stay in India, the ITC Grand Chola is a must. From its luxurious and relaxing spa (Kaya Kalp) to 5-star fine dining (Avartana), this ITC makes your vacation special. The spacious rooms were in pristine condition and almost felt like a second home. The location is incredible, with it being in the heart of Chennai (easy for those who want to get around the city).

ITC Grand Chola Chennai’s comes with grandeur and opulence. The hotel space and facilities were well kept and maintained. We would like to commend the following staff for doing a great job, Ms Vyshanavi , chef Rajesh of the madras pavilion restaurant for their excellent service. Mr Dev who made special arrangements at the Ottimo Italian Restaurant as we celebrated our 31st Anniversary. Mr Ranjeet and Mr Ganesh who were managing the Pan Asian restaurant and the Hotels F&B. Last but not least Ms Dhivya, who attended to our every need and care. Overall well done 👍

I've always loved this hotel for its grandeur. It was once upon a time a great place to go to. I feel it is now slightly jaded. The staff though are extremely helpful and attentive at the reception area. Had lunch at the Royal Vega. The seating area looks grand. The plates and cutlery are royal but somehow the thali that I ordered didn't really feel "royal". It was nice not great. I prefer the SouthernSpice at another hotel for the ambience and thali. Ok for a one time experience. Well try Ottimo next time.

This might not be entirely fair since I attended a private party: for a headcount of around 70, having the entire custom menu cooked live was SUPER STRESSFUL for the staff/chef's. The food was excellent when they managed to get it to guests: a mutton shank took 1 hour and a pizza slice grabbed randomly to soothe hunger pangs wasn't exactly a good experience. A buffet with 2-3 live counter dishes would have been far more logistically manageable.

Itc grand chole exceeded my expectations in every way. The hotel location is convenient with chennai airport just 15-20 minutes away. The pool area was a hit with my family and kaya kalp spa was a great place to unwind.

Had dinner with my colleagues at ITC Grand Chola, and it was an amazing experience! The ambience was so elegant and relaxing, and the service was absolutely top-notch. The food was delicious — every dish was cooked and presented perfectly. We all really enjoyed the evening. Truly a five-star experience in every way!

We were there for buffet dinner last evening to celebrate my twin cousins( from Sydney)milestone birthday. We choose to go to a 7 star place not just for the food but for the overall ambience and experience and its the responsibility of the hotel management to provide that. There were 2 corporate teams present and the restaurant was noisy, long queues , messy even at the counters, spillage all over, the ambience resembled local idli/ dosa hotel. Seriously, corporate dinners could be held privately in banquet halls or do not accept booking from others for buffet dinner when there are large corporate bookings. Our overall experience was not a good one though the helpless waiter at our table served us well and was polite and apologetic. Seriously corporates need to train their employees on dining and social etiquette.

Hotel is Grand its amazing property with all dine in restaurant you want with multiple options and speciality restaurant. The only issue is that u will not get attention if there is an issue. As it has approx 600 rooms and during breakfast time you have to beg and struggle to take table or order or to even eat peacefully.
