Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons (Finger Lakes, New York) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Ideal for travellers visiting Cornell University (whose picturesque campus is located just about a mile away) or making a long weekend of it in the idyllic Finger Lakes region, Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons offers both convenience and familiar comfort. Its guest rooms feature a pacific blue and white color scheme, crisp linens, waterfall showers, and views that, if timed right, can offer impressive vistas of Ithaca’s treetop canopy. In-room dining is available from the hotel’s own Monks on the Commons; a full docket of events happen weekly, from tastings to trivia to board-game nights." - Tablet Hotels

We had a wonderful experience at the Ithaca Marriott Downtown on the Commons while celebrating my wife's birthday and using it as our home base to explore the Finger Lakes. From start to finish, everything exceeded our expectations. Check-in was seamless, thanks to Christina, who truly embodies exceptional customer service. She went above and beyond to upgrade us to a beautiful corner room, arranged an adjoining room, and consistently checked in throughout our five-night stay to ensure everything was perfect. Her attention to detail and care made us feel genuinely valued. Breakfast at Monk's was another highlight—delicious food with generous portions and a great variety to choose from. Brittany and Arria, who welcomed us each morning, were both incredibly warm, attentive, and friendly. They made each breakfast feel like a treat and added so much to our stay. We didn’t have a single bad meal the entire time. If you're planning a trip to Ithaca or the Finger Lakes region, I highly recommend staying at this hotel. The service, location, and overall experience are truly top-notch.

I really liked this particular Marriott. It is convenient to Cornell University. The Front Desk clerk on duty, Chistina W., was very welcoming and warm to my extended family and I. I had a corner room with 3 windows, so it was flooded with light, and I had a nice view of a creek. The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable, and I got a great night's sleep. The restaurant in the hotel made very good burgers. The only small criticism I would have is that the gym is in the windowless basement and very small. It felt a little torturous to work out in there. They only had 3 treadmills, one of which was broken. Also, the bathroom in the room had a sliding pocket door, which although space saving, didn't do much to dampen *ahem* bathroom sounds. Neither of these things were deal breakers, though. PS: Please tip the housekeeping staff at the end of your stay. Just fold some cash into a note with a "thank you" on it and leave it in your room. Those are some hard-working, pleasant folks!

Google
Easy check-in. No acknowledgement of status or offer to upgrade. Room was clean and well kept. No hand soap, they ran out. Lobby is smaller than expected, restaurant took up most of the space. Outdoor seating wasn't available due to falling material from the building.

Google
Super convenient to lots of restaurants, but the hotel itself is... challenging. Finding the entrance to the parking garage was a serious challenge, the water in the shower is tepid at best (they very kindly came to explain that you have to leave it running for an extended period because it takes a while for the hot water to circulate to this side of the building... but it's still barely warm ten minutes later), and the QR code they leave for room service is broken... and there is not a direct line to order food. To be fair, I'm cranky after a long travel day, but the little things are adding up in a big way.

Marriott’s value proposition has been declining. The hotels aren’t that much nicer than other chains, but they charge a lot more and client service is lacking. I made a request to change my reservation, instead of saying “yes we can help” or “sorry we can’t”, they kept saying “it’s not in our hands and the person who can help isn’t available”. Why don’t they have an alternate decision maker? I have been a Marriott member for over two decades, I am extremely disappointed at the lack of customer service and support. Downtown Ithaca Marriott, you have made me never want to stay at a Marriott again.

Google
Best spot for an Ithaca visit! Many thanks to Anna for the spotless room, and to the staff at Monk's who were very gracious on a busy night. We received outstanding service from Christina at the front desk; she made a quick but challenging trip so much more pleasant! It's always been a pleasure to stay at this property, but Christina went above and beyond, and she was very much appreciated.

The staff was lovely when we first checked in. We chose this hotel because of very strict medical dietary requirements. They have a restaurant clearly trained in gluten-free cooking. After our first meal here, a celiac in our party was very ill. This was four hours into our trip When I brought it to the attention of the kitchen, they took no responsibility. I brought it up again in the morning with the restaurant manager, who also takes no responsibility for the fact that they had cross contamination in their kitchen. We will never come back here again A celiac reaction in a 85-year-old woman is a heartbreaking thing to watch. It took one bad meal to ruin my parents 65th anniversary getaway and the restaurant feels no sense of responsibility for that whatsoever

My husband and I have been staying here M-F, 7/14-7/31, 2025. The staff here absolutely must be commended for their professionalism and warmth! In particular: ( apologies for any names I have forgotten!) Ben, Jesse, Carl, Kiara, and Shaq in Valet parking and shuttle service are the kindest and most prompt drivers you will ever meet! I never had to wait long and they know Ithaca like the back of their hand, particularly the Cornell Campus, which can be daunting and was where we were going each day. At the bar/restaurant, I have forgotten the names of the wonderful bartenders, but they are an amazing group of young men and women who have a sparkle in their eye, have Mixology mastery, and make an evening fly by so enjoyably. In terms of service, Patric, aria and Bri, I believe, have given me some of the most wonderful gracious and accommodating food service I’ve ever encountered. They are prompt, delightful, and make every meal thoroughly enjoyable. At the front desk, Rebecca, Erika, and Nicole ( to name a few!) We’re very helpful, warm and accommodating at each check-in and check out. All in all this entire group of dedicated hospitality professionals made these three weeks entirely memorable and magical for me. Well done Marriott from a very loyal customer who will continue to be loyal, if for no other reason than this exact location!

Yelp
We stayed here to attend the kids graduation. You cannot beat the convenience. We did not know but, learned during check-in, that they offer a free shuttle into the campus for the graduation. This is HUGE. Its darn near impossible to find parking on campus, and the shuttle service ( a 5 min ride) makes it so easy. The bar / restaurant in the hotel was fine. We had breakfast there twice and enjoyed the traditional hearty bacon + egg + taters plates. The best part about this hotel is the service, the staff and location.

Yelp
A five star review dedicated to Karen at the front desk of this Marriott! Truly, the entire front desk staff here is phenomenal and went above and beyond to make the experience great. I was in town for a wedding I was in this past weekend and was staying at The Hotel Ithaca one night and this Marriott the next. I wasn't going to be able to check in to my room until the end of the night (~11:30) and the staff took SUCH special care to arrange for my room to be all set post-celebration. They told me my exact room number the day before and even had my bag brought up for me in advance so I wouldn't have to worry about bringing it up. The room itself was spotless and, while there is construction happening all around the hotel right now (downtown Ithaca is building UP), it seems they make special accomodations for folks staying on the construction side - earplugs, etc. I am so grateful to the entire staff here for the amazing weekend and look forward to my next stay.

Yelp
This is a beautiful hotel right in downtown Ithaca. The location is perfect. Staff was great, room and view are all great too. Few things to note: -The room had a long couch that could easily sleep another person if needed. -Breakfast not included, $14 extra. Plenty of alternatives right outside the hotel though. -Parking is $10/day for self park and $20 for valet. I self parked and be warned the garage is only 6'8". My truck barely fit! It took nerves of steel to drive through the garage with less than 3 inches of clearance. -The hotel is pricey. If using the federal government rate they do verify via ID. One major thing - the room is not set up for long term stays. There isn't really a lot of places to for your clothes. There is a small wardrobe and two drawers, that's it. Will definitely stay here again when in the area.

Yelp
I stayed here for 3 nights and left an overall happy customer. My only two gripes are a cable issue and two room features. As far as the cable, they have DirecTV, but a very limited package which doesn't include nationally televised NFL games. As far as the room, the double room doesn't have a chair or love seat so you're forced to either sit on the bed or at the desk. The rooms also don't have safes. An upshot to the room is they do come equipped with refrigerators and microwaves. The beds are also very comfortable, but are definitely low riders (they don't sit very high off the ground). Monks, the bar downstairs, offers 10% discount to hotel guests during certain hours. Parking is either valet or in the connecting garage. I recommend the garage, especially if you're staying on a weekend when the garage doesn't charge. The WiFi works fine. The gym is a bit small. 3 treadmills. 2 ellipticals. 2 bikes. One universal rack. Dumbells up to 50 lbs. A few mats, medicine balls. At least the standard, complimentary water and Granny Smith apples add a nice touch. All things considered in Ithaca and the surrounding area, this is probably your best bet for accommodations. Or certainly your most modern bet. It's also within walking distance of the Commons and provides you easy access to several bars and restaurants.

Yelp
Overpriced, uncomfortable beds, no parking, and inflexible checkout. I paid $600 to stay here one night while visiting my Alma Mater. I was not pleased at all with the experience: 1) there's nowhere to park. They force you to valet and wait 20 min to get your vehicle back. There are too many cars parked in front of the hotel and nowhere to idle elsewhere, so I spent ~30 min doing laps around the building until valet could take these car. If you just need to run inside and grab something, there's absolutely nowhere to park. It will be a 1 hour experience of waiting for a quick in-and-out. 2) the hotel is new but the beds aren't. It felt like sleeping on a king sized cot. Lumpy, uneven, and not at all luxurious. Indoor camping experience. 3) despite everyone leaving today (it's a Sunday afternoon), they won't allow late checkout. Checkout is 11 and I asked to leave my belongings until 1pm so I could go to the bookstore on the commons. They said that'll be considered one extra day ($600 more!). I will not return to this place. Cut your losses and go to Statler or Argos (if you want a nicer experience), or find a 1-star Super 8 that is about the same experience as this Marriott. This place is a scam.

Yelp
I love this hotel. The commons is super cool and actually very quiet so don't worry about getting sleep. You will get plenty here! The food places generally close around 10pm so get dinner before then. The hotel is trendy and upscale and always pricey but you can't be in a better location. Way better than the Hilton IMO.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by to have a cocktail prior to attending a downtown concert. We each requested a Manhattan. The bartender mentioned a problem he had making the drinks because he ran out of Sweet Vermouth. He told us he poured a little from one glass to the other to make two drinks. The result was evident because there appeared to be half a drink in each glass. When the bill was presented, our jaws dropped at the price of $38.00. Not only was that the most we ever paid for two drinks but we each had half a drink that wasn't even good! We caught the eye of another bartender and questioned the price. She seemed to know our drinks were shorted and admitted that their drinks were expensive. She then edited the bill to $19.00.

Yelp
This hotel deserves 5 stars for service but most importantly cleanliness. We actually stayed here one night then moved to a spa hotel/resort outside of downtown Ithaca which was double the price; only to cancel our reservation after seeing how dirty and run down it is. We came back to the Marriott Downtown for the rest of our baby moon. You can't beat the location. Thank you Rafael and Jane for your exceptional service.

Yelp
We still here on the way back from New York, and I was highly impressed with this hotel. It was like delicious dessert after a bad meal (Sheraton in NY). - The customer service here was way above an excellent service. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. The girl at the front desk gave us information about the area, hotel, parking, breakfast, etc. They even offered to jump in a car and show us where self-parking is as it can be tricky to find it! - The room was big, beautiful and clean. The bed was comfortable, absolutely loved the room. I was also impressed about the shower because this was the only place where the bathroom tub faucet wasn't located under the shower itself (so you don't get cold or hot water running over you! I think it was a clever idea). - The breakfast downstairs at the restaurant was really nice and delicious! Can't say anything negative about this hotel. I would love to stay here again.

Yelp
Booked here through Pack Up & Go. Very comfortable rooms and great location. I also took advantage of the 24/7 fitness center every morning. Staff was kind and helpful. Only cons is a current issue with parking. Pretty I convenient to wait 30 mins to get your car. Also there was a few times where no one was at the desk so they seemed a little short staffed. Would definitely recommend if looking for a conveniently located and comfy hotel to stay in.

Yelp
We stayed here 6 nights and made this our home base for exploring several nearby towns and parks and we truly loved everything about this hotel. The location is awesome. The staff went out of their way to make our stay memorable. When they found out we were celebrating a birthday we received an upgrade to their biggest corner room. The valets were super efficient, especially since their main garage was closed for repair and they had to use another garage further away. The hotel itself is very upscale with a nice restaurant/bar in the lobby. The rooms are extremely sound proof and we heard zero outside noise. They have several magazines with highlights of the area in the lobby and we received directions and suggestions from staff members several times. There was a slight mix up with our charges not being correct because we had booked under a special and it didn't show up at check out. When we left I was assured they would look into it and call me before the day was over and sure enough they did. I am a Merriott rewards member and it's hotels like this that make me happy I am. Thank you Kellen, Jane, and Barb for an excellent birthday stay!!

Yelp
Just stayed here while in town for a wedding and what a nice hotel! Has the small feel of a boutique hotel and the hallways and rooms have a nice fresh feel. Our room was medium sized but very well designed with a comfortable bed, nice linens, good lighting and a great shower. Hooks and shelves for everything and nice views of the outdoors. One thing I noticed is that the room and bathroom were exceedingly clean, which isn't always the case at hotels, so was much appreciated. And what a great location steps away from the center of town! Nice looking bar and restaurant in the lobby but we weren't able to eat there due to other plans. But all in all, I highly recommend this hotel.

Absolutely loved this hotel. Extremely clean and very professional helpful staff. Beautiful rooms. Will keep coming back.

Yelp
We were very pleased with our experience for the overnight stay here. This is a relatively new hotel and we appreciated that. All the furniture and fixtures were comfortable. The beds were nice too. The location was implacable next to the common. Best of all, all the staff were professional and nice. The parking is $10 for valet and you can use self parking making 3 right turns from the front entrance to the hotel. It does not have the concierge lounge for the gold / platinum elite members but they will give you drink coupons and continental breakfast to make up for it. The elevator requires room key to operate but you must carefully press the key flush against the sensor or else it won't work. We and several other guest had some problems with it. Overall, it was a nice place to stay and I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
Great new hotel in Ithaca! Most hotels in Ithaca have been around for ages (e.g., Statler) or aren't nice (e.g., the many inns, motels and b&bs), but the Marriott opened in 2017. It feels clean and new, has a nice small gym and trendy lobby with couches+books and a cute restaurant for relaxing with your colleagues, friends or family during your stay. The rooms are also great and have a nice large chaise which is nice for hanging out or working not in your bed. It's also located at the commons closest and a 20 min walk from cornell. The Ithaca commons is a pedestrian area with a few blocks of restaurants, bars and shops so be sure to enjoy when you're there!

Yelp
We spent 3 days at this hotel in Ithaca last week and had a wonderful experience. The room was lovely and the staff was very professional and extremely helpful. We ate several meals at Monk's restaurant and food and drinks were great. The servers, hosts, and bartenders are well trained and efficient. Hotels and restaurants are very challenged post covid but this was our best overall experience in a long while. Thank you Marriott Bonvoy!

Nina K.

Yelp
Wow what an experience. We have stayed here frequently during my daughter's time at Cornell and we had always liked it. We arrived today to discover that there is 24/7 construction out our window. NOWHERE was it mentioned when we booked 2 days ago. And the rate is one of the highest we have ever paid. When we went to the desk to ask when it stops for the night the desk attendant could not have been ruder. Disgraceful.

Yelp
Good hotel for an overnight stay for business. Brand new property. Very well situated next to Ithaca Commons. All the restaurants are within walking distance. The lobby is well furnished but very loud. We waited a while for the check in as there was only one person at the front desk. A bit of an annoyance at 8 pm. The room is quite spacious. Spotless bathroom and fixtures. Comfortable bed with enough pillows. The TV offers Netflix, Hulu and YouTube. Overall would recommend for a few days if you find yourself in Ithaca.

Yelp
Worst front desk. They never know where things are. They are slow. Always seem startled when you come by. The main manager is great but everyone else just doesn't seem to have a clue. Case in point, I reserved a shuttle for 5:30p. At 5;40p I called to confirm. Ithaca to Cornell is a 4 min drive. The female receptionist told me to be patient. It's raining. I waited and then called 10 minutes later to check-in. Listened to 3 minutes of musack and the pre-recorded courtesy thanking me for my patience. When reception picked up I was still friendly, calm and direct. Front desk said, "I can't do anything for you. Hold on. Let me check where he is." I understand it's Ithaca and the Marriott is one of two hotels but still, rude. Then 15 minutes later I called back and was told that he was across the street and about to turn around. The drivers are great. The hotel is great. The food is great but the front desk is an incompetent mess. Customer service 101 - Never ever tell a customer to be patient when you mess and up and never say I can't help you. Instead, Thank them for their patience and tell them "I will see what I can do." Terrible ending to an otherwise great stay.

Yelp
We arrived to stay overnight for a work event same evening. The elderly gentleman appeared to not know how to check us in or how to work the computer system and seemed a bit frazzled. Granted a group of us arrived at the same time a little after noon, which would be a bit early for normal check in. It seemed everyone who works there seemed nice and tried to be accommodating. However, if manning the check in desk at a major hotel chain, one should know how to work the system. We were okay allowing some of us for early checkin and having them hold our bags since not all the rooms were available. Not okay, when we later tried to pick up our luggage at 4:45 so we can change and leave for our planned event at 5pm, we were told all the managers had left and we had to wait for 45 min. to get the bag. Also, not okay to beg to get our car back from valet to leave for our event, which was delayed which caused us to be late for our event. It seems things ran a bit smoother the next morning for our check out except, I found our rental car had a ding on the front driver's side from over night parking by valet. The staff was nice but need a bit of more training and better management so the guests don't feel like they don't want to return.

Jess K.

Yelp
We stayed two nights and had a good time overall. The rooms are nice as well as the rest of the facilities. The front-of-the-house staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. Only a couple downfalls: 1. We ordered coffee and breakfast room service for 9 am, but it came at 7:30 am. Half of us were asleep, since it was so early, and the food went cold. However, the front desk staff were nice enough to ask the kitchen to remake the food, which we really appreciated. Although we didn't receive fresh coffee, the food came very quickly and the front desk clerk was very apologetic. The woman who delivered the food was visibly annoyed with us, but I guess that's how the early morning shift goes. 2. Menu's had formatting inconsistencies and other grammar related issues. Not a huge deal as I'm probably the only one who would notice it. I view this as negative since it tarnishes Marriott's high standards of professionalism and attention to detail. Were the menu's not proofread? Again, not a huge pitfall, but I wanted to point it out for any employees that may read this review. I would definitely recommend this Marriott in Ithaca.

Mark M.

Yelp
Nice hotel in a great location. Be aware that they do not put a microwave oven in rooms with a single king bed, only in rooms with two beds. Doesn't make any sense to me, whether I have one or two beds, I still need to heat up coffee or a snack. I would expect more from a Marriott, this is not Motel 6. Other than that, staff and room was very nice.

Aaron X.

Yelp
***Scam Alert*** The word of the day at Ithaca Marriott Downtown is..... SCAM. Yes scam as in how can you charge me for using water in the room that you never actually placed in the room? I love how they secretively charged a separate fee on my credit card for it even though there was none actually provided . Also when you are trying to complete the scam, don't have Mr Magoo (Matthew S. Kasperski) represent you. His incompetence and inability to properly address this for a Lifetime Platinum member was laughable. If only there was a school nearby that could teach you the true meaning of hospitality. Besides that, this was lower than a standard Marriott. Standard sized rooms for the US with a pretty much garbage view of construction (Plat members love this). No other benefits for Gold/Plat members (No free water for example..tee hee). No lounge or even lounge like benefits. I am really not sure how it gets so many great reviews...gotta get out more I suppose.

Yelp
The Ithaca Marriott is very expensive compared to hotels in Manhattan, however it is in much better shape. Perhaps it is simply newer? The staff is friendly and the room was very clean and comfortable. We were in town for a wedding, so we did not eat there. They have free covered parking in the structure attached to the hotel. I was a bit annoyed that wi-fi was an extra charge considering the cost of the room.
google avatar

Dan K.

Yelp
Ok second time. I expect a lot from a full service Marriott so when you arrive and they don't have a club after just building the hotel is a bummer. But the thing that lowered the rating was we got to the hotel and got in bed with no top sheet. When we called they said they were short but would bring one up they brought it up and handed it to us to make the bed. Room service arrives at the room in plastic to go containers with plastic wear. Probably cheaper to order grub hub. Poor quality for a premium price. Last time paying top dollar for sub par accommodation.

Jeff D.

Yelp
The room was very nice and clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. I slept like a rock! And you can't beat the location right on the Commons at the foot of the South Hill. What took this stay above and beyond was the friendly service from Lacey and Matt who were so helpful and accommodating-- in person and over the phone. The price seemed pretty standard for the area -- a little on the higher end, but worth it. Check-in time seemed very late to me -- 4pm. But the staff was able to arrange an early check in. Of course they can't guarantee that every time, but they will do their best to help. Self parking in the lot next to the movie theater (on Green St) was easy and free on the weekend. During the week I believe it's 6 dollars per day. Just take the elevator up to the hotel lobby! I found the price to be about standard for the area,

Yelp
I called and spoke to Jermaine this morning. When calling a Marriott property, I'm usually greeted with exceptional customer service that exceeds expectations. What I encountered unfortunately was brash, unhelpful, and unaccommodating. I needed a price breakdown for 2 different rooms with taxes and fees included which every other hotel did without issue. In fact they offered it to make sure all was transparent and i thought what a great idea especially when splitting rooms with friends and family all over the country. Oddly this whole interaction was like pulling teeth. I learned that 3 nights was $1079. We booked the 8 rooms elsewhere. Unfortunate because the location is solid and I usually like a Marriott property

Ariana B.

Yelp
I was so impressed with the rooms at this hotel! They looked brand new, were large for the regular rate, and were beautiful decorated. Front desk staff was nice, but not overly accommodating. As an Elite member, I would've appreciated a free water bottle. Parking was confusing. There is a connected lot across the way, but it's off a one way street and not the direction I came. I had to call the front desk for assistance, so more signage would be helpful. They had a live band in the evening that was very good, but quite loud. We sat outside to have a drink and dessert, the waitress was not knowledgeable nor accurate. She didn't know what flavors of gelato or sorbet they had and I received jam for the tea instead of honey. We had to chase her down for the bill too.

Shin L.

Yelp
This hotel is excellent. We stayed 6/16, pretty busy weekend. Hotel staffs are well trained and very kind. It is obviously kids friendly property. Location is really good right at the corner of commons. We ordered room services and food was surprisingly good..my daughter's arm was injured and got operations and we could not go out for eating brining another 4 years old son. Salmon steak, chicken wings and fries were surprisingly good. Really good. Rooms are pretty new and fresh..I could not find anything negative about the hotel. Everything was beyond expectations. Front desk and guest services staffs were very nice and kind to my kids. I recommend this happy place to anyone I know..we will stay here again in the future.

Yelp
Lacey was an incredible help when we were making reservations. She was very patient and helped us get the right size room a group of college friends. She made a challenging situation much easier! I would highly recommend this hotel.

Yelp
We had a great stay there this past weekend. The staff was above and beyond great. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and modernized. The bed was cozy. They gave us an early check in without issue. The valet was affordable ($10) with in-and-out privileges and quick service. The location could not be beat.

Yelp
Less than a year old. Everything is nice and new and clean. The lobby bar has great cocktails. This is a great addition to downtown Ithaca and my wife and I have had multiple friends and family members stay here when visiting town.
google avatar

Laureen A.

Yelp
Nice and new! Drinks were great and intense, similar pricing to NYC, atmosphere is warm and friendly-- great place to hang out, a nice escape from Ithaca, and great to see more townspeople and couples rather than college students for once. Could hang out here for hours, Thursday nights have some nice jazz events! Would definitely come here to hang out again.

W M.

Yelp
Very nice hotel made human and non-boxlike and generic by the exceedingly wise hire of a superb local bartender. Great conversation and atmosphere with distinctive cocktails and beer choices with local suppliers across the board make this a top-rank choice for the bar alone. Bravo.

S C.

Yelp
I was quite impressed by the hotel my husband picked for our one night stay. We'll start with the pros. The location is prime for shops and nearby restaurants, but is close enough to other places to make a short drive too. The hotel has been recently renovated (from reviewers it was in 2015?), and we could tell. The receptionist who checked us in (and out) was professional, friendly, and made the process easy. The room was very clean and modern, and an end unit, with only housekeeping on one side by the bathroom, which made it seem very quiet (more on this later). The bed seemed to be medium firm, a memory foam mattress. The housekeeper greeted us in the hallway and was very chill and welcoming, asking us to let him know if we ever needed anything. Husband was pleased to find that the in-room coffee supply had more than the usual amount of cream and sugar he would find in other hotels. The breakfast buffet next morning (which we paid for at $14 per person since we're not any kind of special Marriott member) was good, with breakfast breads and pastries, fruit, juices, parfaits, delicious hot cinnamon-y steel cut oatmeal, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast, hash, and make-your-own waffles. We almost went to a nearby waffle place instead but for the price we felt we were getting much more at the hotel. Now to the cons: The fan was noisy, turning on and off every 5 minutes (husband said he timed it...), and if you're a very light sleeper like my husband, this may irritate you. But I slept through it, though I also consider myself a light sleeper. Whoever was upstairs also made enough noise to keep my husband awake a bit too. Next, my shower water was just warm, and never got to close to very warm, though I had the handle all the way to hot and I do take long showers. When husband showered next, he said his water got hot. I'm guessing it just takes a long time to get the water to a good temperature. Also, here are a few tips I'll repeat from other reviewers: 1. Parking is FREE on weekends in the parking garage next to the hotel; 2. Parking is accessible on a one way street (East Green Street), in the garage just past Cinepolis; and 3. To go up in the elevator, you have to take your hotel key out of the paper slip and place it flat against the sensor. You don't need the key to go down.

Yelp
This is the absolute worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms are mediocre, however the staff is completely unprofessional. The hotel is clearly understaffed, but the staff they do have are incompetent and extremely rude and unfriendly- the opposite of what it means to be in the "hospitality" industry. Furthermore, the "restaurant" downstairs- the bar in particular has an extremely unprofessional woman behind the bar who lacks knowledge in bartending and is even wearing slippers while on the job. She made us feel unwelcome even though we were paying top dollar to stay in this hotel. I would rather stay in a 1 star hotel than at this disaster of a hotel and bar! Terrible experience! Do not stay here!! Some of the worst customer service I have seen in my life. Truly a disappointment.

Yelp
We stayed here while moving my daughter into her dorm at Cornell. Through all the chaos of fall move-in, the staff remained courteous and efficient. The location was perfect and the room was very comfortable.

Yelp
I've never left a hotel review but I wanted to leave a review because I was so impressed with the staff. They were incredibly friendly and eager to help. It's a good location, the rooms are comfortable, and the wifi is fast.

Yelp
We had a lovely stay. Extremely professional, classy and friendly staff that couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is new, clean and up to date on all accommodations. Drinks and food were top rate. Transportation to Cornell was on time and so helpful. Hotel is in a great location in the middle of all of the action during the day and evening. We hope to return and will recommend to all of our friends visiting the area.
