On the Grid : {siteName}: {title}: Tokyo Japan

"We, Mamimu, grew up with this brand yet it never fails to surprise me. Especially the newly imagined flagship store in Ginza. With a mission to “make your creative moment more beautiful and comfortable”, this hip 12-storey store houses wonderfully designed goods from all over the world with something to make almost anybody's heart beat that little bit faster. As if that wasn't enough, there is a “Paper Concierge” on the 7th floor to help you find THE paper of your dreams, the 10th floor business lounge (wittily named as HandShake Lounge) is completed with Vitra office furniture. Itoya even grows their own vegetables in the building and serve them in the cafe on the top floor. It always impresses me that this century old retailer is constantly evolving and innovating to stay on top of the game." - Mamimu

"The stationery shop Itoya resembles a museum, with its exquisite displays and handsome collection. The main shop on Chuo Dori has 12 floors of paper, stationery, pens, planners, and a café. The annex on the backstreet has seven floors of paints, colored pencils, notebooks, and more. Itoya is a great spot to pick up gifts for friends back home. It's easy to find—just look for the giant red paper clip in front of the building."

Amazing stationery destination in Ginza! Ginza Itoya is one of the best stationery stores I’ve ever visited — a must-stop in Ginza for anyone who loves pens, paper, planners, and unique gifts. The store is beautifully designed and spread across multiple floors, each with a different theme. From elegant fountain pens and high-quality notebooks to cute stickers and practical office supplies, there’s something for every taste and purpose. The selection here is huge, and you can find both luxury and affordable items. I especially enjoyed browsing the premium pens and the beautifully crafted Japanese paper. There are also original Itoya items that you won’t find anywhere else, which makes great souvenirs or thoughtful gifts. The staff were helpful and polite, offering recommendations without being pushy. The atmosphere is calm and inspiring — perfect if you want to take your time exploring. There’s even a café area where you can sit and plan your purchases! It’s easy to see why both locals and tourists love this place; I noticed many people taking photos and leisurely shopping, especially on weekends. Whether you’re into journaling, drawing, or office supplies, Ginza Itoya is a stationery lover’s paradise!

Excellent stationery shop with a wide variety across many levels. I was delighted to buy really special Christmas cards as well as unique and beautiful stationery items. Could have spent many more hours browsing! Some areas get a little congested with shoppers but still easy to select items. The cafe on the top floor was lovely too.

Ginza Itoya is a stationery lover’s dream. Massive, beautifully organized floors packed with everything from premium pens and notebooks to a serious art section (brushes, paints, sketchbooks) and an incredible selection of seasonal greeting cards—especially the Christmas cards and displays. The store feels clean, calm, and thoughtfully laid out, so even with how big it is, it’s easy and fun to browse. Staff were polite and the overall shopping experience felt very “Ginza”—high quality, tasteful, and inspiring. Easy place to lose track of time in the best way.

Itoya Ginza is an amazing place for high-quality stationery. The store has many floors, each with unique items like pens, papers, cards, and gifts. Everything is well-organized and beautifully displayed. Staff are helpful, and the experience feels special. A perfect spot for stationery lovers.

Excellent stationary shop with probably the most variety I've seen. The prices are average though(at least for the fountain pens and inks), but that's fine because the service and testing of pens is really valuable. Everything is presented well too. Although, the queues for staff assistance on fountain pens is quite long(20-45 min), which is troublesome especially if you're a tourist tight on time.

To put it simply: Heaven. I went here during the New Years' holiday, so it was a bit chaotic. Even so, it was an amazing time! There are about eight floors where you can purchase all things stationary related and then a few extra floors for cafes and a basement for seasonal items. At the time of my visit, it was calendars. To be honest, I had been avoiding coming here for a while because I knew I couldn't trust myself to stick to a budget. And I'm actually proud of myself. Of the eight floors, I only bought things from four of them. That's a win in my book! All of the items sold have clearly been thoughtfully chosen and there is a great mix of variety with everything of great quality. My suggestion is to take the elevator to the top and then slowly make your way down level by level. There is a level for paper/scrapbooking, a level for paint, a level for home decor, there is even a level for the most beautiful pens I have ever seen! If you are into stationary items or know someone who does, this is a one stop shop. Just be sure to come with a budget and an ironclad will. Otherwise, you may end up spending the GPD equivalent of a small country because everything is sheer perfection.

I was really happy to see that they have a good range of fountain pens, including some special ones from Sailor. I picked up a few inks too. My favorite part was the craft section because I loved seeing all the stamps and punchers. The only thing to watch out for is the area with the regular gel pens. It gets extremely crowded after 12 noon, so it is better to go earlier. There is barely any space to move around once it gets busy.

This is a happy place for those who love stationary! 10 floors of stationary of all sorts grouped into categories in each level. Great place to look for small gifts and they have big cards section for all occasion. Be prepared to spend at least an hour or two. If you are those who love stationary, be prepared longer hours to fully immerse yourself.
