Itsy Hotels Red Lotus Heritage With Roadside View

Room was very good. Staff was super nice and we were even made comfortable to rest at the roof top after our check out since we had to wait a couple of hours for our bus. Highly recommend this place.

I had booked two rooms for me and family for 3 nights in October 2024 through Makemytrip. After seeing the hotel from outside and then inside we decided to leave immediately. We called MMT and Treebo and cancelled and left within one hour. |It is a low standard hotel, maybe suitable for backpackers but definitely not for families or seniors.|The actual hotel is very different from what is shown or described on the booking page and website. Do not be mislead by the photos.|The name itself is misleading. They call it Itsy Hotels Red Lotus Heritage, Promenade Beach hotel. There is no beach around it. The promerade beach is about 15 minutes walk away. And there is nothing Heritage about the hotel. |The hotel building and entrance is hidden away by shops all around. There is an open drain passing around the front and under the entrance to the hotel. The hotel is in an overcrowded busy shopping street with narrow streets, parked two-wheelers and noisy traffic all around it.|The stairs to the hotel and other floors are very narrow and steep. There is no lift. This becomes very difficult for senior citizens like us to go up or down. And even to drag our luggage upstairs, with no help from the two men staff.|The rooms we got are suffocating with no ventilation and very noisy from the running traffic right in the front and side. The toilet seats were broken and loose.||We asked for a full refund for our 3 days but they offered only two days refund after deducting the payment for the first day, which is very unfair and in a way cheating. |Treebo group should be aware of their reputation, not disappoint customers and treat them fairly. If someone does not like the hotel and wants to leave immediately they should be fully refunded and not be penalised for believing what is said on the website and for pre-booking and paying in advance.|Overall, it was a bad and ugly experience after seeing this hotel and the treatment by Treebo and Makemytrip (who do not help at all. They seem to be interested only in their commission). Shame.

Rooms are spacious and clean. It's not luxurious but definitely clean and nice. The location is amazing! The host is extremely hospitable and even went as far as lending us his umbrella on a really rainy day so we could explore around! The breakfast was disappointing but otherwise a perfect place to stay and explore pondicherry!

The front desk staff was very helpful and the accessibility to all the tourist attractions is very good. Cons The maintainance of the rooms are very bad like water was dripping through the wash basin in the bathroom and the shower head came off. The stairs were too narrow to climb up and down.

The hotel is of antique heritage style, located on a commercial street. We haven't stayed there as it is on the first floor with a narrow staircase and no lift. The receptionist said that we can park the car on the street itself, it is the parking zone on left side. May be good for bachelors or who wants to experience heritage buildings.

I recently stayed at Red Lotus in Pondicherry and had a wonderful experience. The ambience of the hotel was inviting and beautifully designed, creating a relaxing atmosphere. My room was impressively spacious, easily accommodating three adults without feeling cramped, and the comfortable bed added to the overall comfort of my stay. The staff truly stood out; they were friendly and extremely helpful throughout my visit. Shiva was very helpful in terms of recommending places to visit, arranging rental bikes for us etc etc. I appreciated that they allowed me to keep my luggage at the hotel even after check-out, making my day much easier. The service was top-notch, truly worthy of a five-star rating, and the room was well worth the money I paid. The hotel is located at the center of the city and very convenient and close to many tourist places. However, there were a couple of downsides. The lack of parking space was inconvenient if u travel via your own car, and the absence of a lift could be a challenge for some guests, especially those with heavy luggage. Overall, I highly recommend Red Lotus for a pleasant stay in Pondicherry!

We had booked after reading reviews on their website.All of their reviews are AI generated and false.You’ll know when you read the language used in each review. The hotel is probably good for backpackers, or single young people. It is not a heritage hotel and no where near the beach! The rooms felt claustrophobic with no windows and noisy because of the constant traffic. The stairs were narrow and no help carrying our luggage up. We are above 65 yrs old.

It was my first time with my mother here in Pondi. The staff was absolutely a delight to interact with. They rooms were huge , clean and well maintained. They let me keep the luggage even after check out so i could see places around hassle free . Personally for me 10/10
