Ittiturismo Corniglia SP4488

This town was the quiet one. It only had one or two business open and a surprisingly beautiful church here. Just a tip though, use the bus from the train station to the town and don't do the 15+ stairs wells up to the top. After doing all 5 towns in a day...I was exhausted. I did it though and not too bad for a 60 year old woman.

Ittiturismo is an experience unlike many. Perched high on the cliffs of Corniglia, it is quite a journey to get there. We road the train from Monterosso Al Mar, hiked up 380+ stairs, and then randomly happened across the owner of Ittiturismo in town. He gave us a ride up to the family owned restaurant with eclectic decor and stunning views of the Liguarian Sea. Then menu changes based on what the owner catches each morning and what his son is inspired to cook. We had a fabulous meal of house wine, fried anchovy appetizer, and two fresh fish pastas. Absolutely worth the journey for this once in a lifetime meal, but reservations are required and are limited so plan accordingly!

Hiked the trail from Vernazza to Corniglia specifically to go here for lunch. The view and the food were both amazing. The path from the trail is about 20 minutes away from Corniglia. Food is all fresh from the sea and their garden. Definitely a highlight of our trip to Cinque Terre. The walk was not easy in the mid day sun but worth it when we arrived and had a nice long lunch.

Exceptional, marvelous, once in a lifetime. We planned to come here for a friend's birthday while visiting Italy and we could not have had a better time. The staff is wonderful, friendly and attentive. The food was incredible, we come from New England and this is by far the best seafood we have all had. Dessert and drinks were also delicious. Make it a point to come here and enjoy the breathtaking views and food. You will not regret it!

Amazing place. Highly recommend visiting. You can reach it either by the road or by the trek walking path. Extremely friendly owner. We did not have any reservation and they said that they were full. But despite that they still gave us a table without reservation. The food was amazing. If you dont know it the owner goes fishing the fish the day itself and serves the fresh caught fish. Also you can drink the only and unique wine that is made by the owner. Its special because he places the grapes first 40h long in the bottom of the ocean just after they where harvested.

We stopped for lunch after getting a recommendation. It is huddled away and you would easily pass it but all the food is freshly caught and cooked that day, the menu changes daily. The views are out of this world. Would definitely recommend to a friend, fish only menu however. The service is a little slow but that goes with the atmosphere of the place.

It would be impossible to describe the amazing experience provided by Ittiturismo Corniglia. The cliff side setting is idyllic, relaxing, enchanting. The family catch the fish, grow the vegetables, make the wine from their own grapes, and prepare the meal right there in an outdoor kitchen. Seriously, do not miss this opportunity!

We were luckily enough to get a walk in table, the fish is incredible and if you’re staying in the area it’s a must! Thanks again for the great food and service. Will definitely be back.
