We had a wonderful stay at this Hotel, which is full of character. Despite being in the heart of the lively Old Town (great location for walking around), the room was very quiet at night. What made our visit truly special was the friendly and helpful receptionist, who signposted us to the sights to visit and served us breakfast with a friendly smile.

A lovely small hotel right in the centre of the old town..A beautiful room with a balcony looking on to the street below. The lady looking after the place was so helpful and a good breakfast ended a great stay. If you want to be in the heart of everything, then this is the hotel for you.

This is a roomy and attractive family run hotel perfectly located in the old part of Bilbao. Many fabulous restaurants are located just around the corner and the Guggenheim and other attractions are all very close. Despite this, the hotel is very quiet and inexpensive.

Loved our stay here: the hotel is right in the centre of the old town and very close to excellent bars. The soundproofing is really good — we couldn’t hear the street from our room when the window was shut. Lovely staff and a big room with a very modern bathroom. We’ll definitely be back next time we’re in Bilbao.

Stayed 2 nights here, everything was perfect. Price, location, hospitality! So happy we chose to stay here. Will definitely come back if we visit Bilbao again. Special thanks to Hai who took our check-in, you have been wonderful! Meeting you here, made our trip even more special :)

Love the character and charm of Iturrienea Ostatua. It was very clean and quiet. The bedroom was modern with a very comfy bed, and the shower was modern as well. After a long day of walking around, we looked forward to coming back to the quiet, peaceful room. Iturrienea Ostatua is located on the second floor, and there is no elevator.||||The location is perfect. Located in the old town of Bilbao, close to lots of restaurants and shops with easy access to the Metro.||||Our host Daniel was very welcoming, friendly and extremely knowledgeable. He gave us very good recommendations on where to eat locally in the old town. We ate at both his recommendations, and loved them both. Daniel also recommended that we take the Metro and visit the towns of Portugalete and Gexto. We are so glad we went there. We had a great day, walking along the beach from Portugalete to Puerto Viejo and then having a quick bite to eat in the old town of Gexto.||||Would highly recommend you stay here if you are planning a trip to Bilbao.

I can't stress enough how incredible this B&B is! The rooms are modern, clean and cool. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They took their time guiding us through maps & making sure we knew where we were going. Plus, the location of this place is hard to beat! You're in the middle of Old Town, surrounded by dozens of the best tapas places and bars. One amazing thing I should mention: We were there during the big festival in August, but the room was completely sound proof even as marching bands went by the hotel. Also, if you put in the special request box during booking that you want a balcony, the staff will accommodate and you'll have an amazing view! Can't recommend this place enough!

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights while walking the Camino del Norte. We were warmly greeted by Daniel who quickly made us feel at home. ||||The lobby area consists of cozy seating area attached to the kitchen. We really enjoyed hanging out there in the evenings sharing food and beverages with our friends and some of the other guests staying there.||||Breakfast was great, served by smiling and friendly staff!||||I like the location as it was close to the supermarket and restaurants and it was easy to navigate yourself around the city from there.

Yelp
Real shame. Old town location sounds quaint but it's actually a pain - you can't get anywhere near the front door in a car/taxi. The place itself is a poor reno of what must have once been a beautiful building - but they've just jammed a bunch of small rooms in and lost all the charm. Plus it is mosquito infested. Do yourself a favour and stay somewhere else.

Yelp
Just don't. The place is centrally located in the old town and that's where the charm ends. Cars aren't allowed to drive in the old town's pedestrian streets, so we were left hauling our luggage more than 100m down the street to the front door and then up a flight of stairs. They don't have anyone at their desk after hours (6pm), so when we discovered the bathroom had a number of bugs and mosquitos we were on our own to deal with it. In the process of killing one, a towel caught on a light fixture and broke it. Of course, no one was around to provide a broom or dustbin to deal with a bathroom full of broken glass. We were then charged 90Euro for the fixture. Save yourselves the hassle.
