Itz'ana Belize Resort & Residences

This hotel was amazing and we are planning to come back in 2025. The rooms was clean, the restaurant food and staff was amazing, even when I really wanted a lunch item during dinner, they made it for me! The bar tender by the pool was awesome! He made great drink suggestions. The staff was extremely attentive, and even when they saw us slapping the mosquitos away, there was Kiel bringing us repellent. The chef came out to check on our large party and fixed the meals that needed fixing happily, (really just steak temps). The free kayaks and paddle board accessibility was refreshing as some of us got up early to get some exercise in on the beach. My only alert to guests would be... when booking a room ask if you can view the ocean from that room (if that is what you are looking for), we booked a beach front and could not see the beach, just the trees with a very small patch of sand.

The staff and facilities at Itz’ana are one of a kind! Waking up to the sounds and view of the ocean is indescribable! The staff is so welcoming and understanding. Especially their front desk. Starla, Kimberly, and Evelyn were extremely accommodating! I highly recommend this resort if you’re ever traveling to Belize.

My wife, her two sisters, and all the husbands spent 5 wonderful days in this resort. We particularly enjoyed sitting on the beach every day and soaking up the breeze and the general atmosphere. Not a care in the world, except what we were going to have for supper. The resort restaurant negates the need to go anywhere else, although we did take the resort shuttle into Placencia to eat one great meal. The entire staff, from the housekeepers to the office staff to the restaurant servers, were polite, friendly, and knowledgable. We did not discover the infinity pool until the last day, much to our chagrin. It was only about 5 feet deep everywhere, so we could get our exercise walking in it. The five days of no worries at this fine resort made the flight on a small plane from Belize City to Placencia well worth the effort.

Fast checking, the rooms are spacious. The staff is attentive. Rooms are clean twice a day. The hotel is close to the airport. Taxi ride the village is about two miles. The food was good but serving takes a bit of time. The hotel is located right across the marina. We will return and stay again.

We picked this place because the location was so close to the marina that we were starting our sailing adventure from. Super glad we did. The resort is beautiful and peaceful. The pool is gorgeous. The food was tasty. The rooms were pretty. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay again!

My friends and I stayed one night at It'zana after a week of sailing. I wish I had planned for more days and could've stayed longer. The service was excellent, everything was clean and perfect. The pool was dreamy! I will definitely be coming back here!

We had a fabulous one-week stay. All the staff were terrific, friendly, professional and very helpful. A big shout out to Cece and Dwight, who each made our stay super special. The location was so convenient to the airport and to the town. Easy to get to get to scuba, which was terrific. We split our meals between the resort and some in-town restaurants. The resort food was excellent - tasty and delicious. Loved the beach and the pool. We had a loft, which I'd highly recommend. Thanks to all!

The food was amazing. Chef Alvaro was very kind and accommodating, tailoring dishes from the menu to meet my dietary needs. I cannot thank him enough! All the staff were very friendly and professional. The pool bar staff were so kind and thoughtful. To the grounds keeper, I appreciate the history lesson on Belize! A special thank you to Angela, Executive Housekeeper. Thank you for making the last day of my birthday vacation so special. The gift was so unexpected but very much appreciated. Just one recommendation is to upgrade the bathrooms in the resort guest rooms. The bathrooms are dated so it looks kind of dirty even after being cleaned. The resort grounds were always cleaned and were well maintained. The beach and the views are stunning! I was able to tour the villas and suites on the resort and they are beautiful and well decorated. I will be staying in one when I return.
