This hotel has so much potential. Their main building, called the Great House is beautiful - styled in Caribbean colonial vibes. My room was much more basic and showed some signs of aging. Their beachfront suites seemed much nicer from the outside though I never got a chance to take a look inside.
The property is really nice, complete with a huge infinity pool, well maintained sandy beach, and plenty of nice touches - bonfires, corn hole, standup paddle boards, kayaks, etc.
Service was mixed. Some of the staff was really friendly. Some seemed completely indifferent. That was disappointing.
The resort is a 15 min drive from Placencia Village.
My biggest complaint was that I had construction in front of my room the whole time. Extremely loud sawing, drilling, and hammering began at 8am in the morning and went through the entire day. Hopefully if you come, you won't have to deal with this unpleasant disturbance.
