24 Best Hotels in Dublin

"Since this hotel opened in 2018, its chic and stylish lobby has attracted many an Instagrammer. The nifty design is evenly distributed throughout, from the Art Deco wallpaper to the uplit library walls. Rooms nod to their setting—a classic Georgian building—but feature cool modern touches, like a golden geometric light that hangs from a coffered ceiling in one of the suites. Padded gray headboards offer a contemporary edge, and bursts of color come in the form of mustard and turquoise. Iveagh Garden isn't just all show and no substance—rather awesomely, it sources its energy from an underground river." - Nicola Brady

Iveagh Garden Hotel

"How did it strike you on arrival?Since this hotel opened in 2018, its chic and stylish lobby has attracted many an Instagrammer. The nifty design is evenly distributed throughout, from the Art Deco wallpaper to the well-lit library walls. Thankfully, though, Iveagh Garden isn't just all show and no substance—rather awesomely, it sources its energy from an underground river. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Part iPhone-toting millennials, part businesspeople, part Irish travelers. Harcourt Street is home to Dublin’s biggest nightclubs, so things can get a little rowdy at night. Got it. Now, the good stuff: Tell us about your room.Rooms nod to their setting—a classic Georgian building—but feature cool modern touches, like a golden geometric light that hangs from a coffered ceiling in one of the suites. Padded gray headboards offer a contemporary edge, and bursts of color come in the form of mustard and turquoise. Try to book a room overlooking the gardens; the soon-to-be-completed Presidential Suite will have those killer views. How about the little things; anything extra of note? The Irish love their tea, so you’ll see Barry’s tea bags in every room. Room service and food: Worth it?The small menu hits the mark with dishes such as a marinated peri-peri chicken burger and a 21-day aged sirloin. Prices are fairly reasonable (€15/$17 and €28.50/$33, respectively) with an €8 ($9) tray charge, so there's no need to feel guilty about eating in your robe. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whatever stuck with you.The Botanical Bar stocks an impressive collection of gins and London Essence tonics, and Elle's Bar & Bistro has a short, hearty menu of comfort food. Bottom line: worth it, and why? It’s the new kid on the block, but it’s slowly working its way onto the scene as a solid new addition." - Nicola Brady

Stayed here in May with two friends in a "Triple" room. The hotel and room were very nice and updated. We booked the breakfast included plan which was a huge benefit! Iveagh Garden was having a great sale when I booked. I paid less to stay here for three nights then I paid for a chain motel in the states. The hotel is centrally located but far enough from Templ Bar so you don't get disturbed.

When me and my mother were at the restaurant the manager that was serving us (I unfortunately can’t remember his name) gave us two shots of baby Guinness on the house since it was our last day there. That was more than enough for me to leave a 5 star review. Do recommend.

The staff are all very polite & helpful, location is great and beakfast was lovely. But sadly the room I was in was unbearably hot. Reception provided me with two fans as it turned out the air conditioning wasn't working but it was two very poor night's sleep unfortunately.

We've stayed here multiple times now and really enjoyed our time at Iveagh! The rooms are clean and look updated. One time we stayed on the ground floor and had to crack the windows to cool down, and the smell of smoke from people outside really stinks up the room. The breakfast selection is really impressive and I loved the many flavor options of Killowen yogurts. The clubs across the street are very loud and busy places, but the sound never bothered us in our rooms. We will definitely be back!

Booked the hotel for our honeymoon and was generally pleased. Lovely to have a 'romance option' of champagne and chocolates when we arrived. The room was spacious and not too far from Grafton Street. This made the cost a little more acceptable than some similar hotels which may be a bit more central.

Our last night in Ireland we chose to stay away from the city central. Lovely hotel. Glorious lobby. The staff was courteous and attentive. At first we were disappointed that our room was at the back of the hotel, quite an up and down walk with no lift to get there. However, after friends recounted their room at the front of the hotel was intensely noisy with a party in the street until five am right outside their window, we were thankful to have slept well. Definitely not the fault of the hotel, but after a long week of sightseeing glorious Ireland, we were tired. A street party was why we chose to be away from the Temple Bar district and yet it found us anyway. Keep that in mind as we found out later that this was a common occurrence. Request a room in the back of the hotel if staying here.

This is a brilliant hotel. The rooms are spacious and so clean. I couldn’t fault it one bit. The staff are so incredibly helpful and I felt so at home there. Also just a note to women who are looking for somewhere safe where security is taken seriously, I would really recommend this hotel. They have the door locked in the evening and they check their records to ensure you’re a guest in the hotel where you’re coming in. I felt so safe.

A very comfortable hotel but what really made it was the staff. For almost a year, the staff safely kept an item that I had left behind in my room. Yesterday I retrieved my lost property which not only saved me money and the hassle of replacing it, but also reconfirmed how excellent the staff are at this hotel. Thank you all!!
