24 Best Hotels in Dublin

"Since this hotel opened in 2018, its chic and stylish lobby has attracted many an Instagrammer. The nifty design is evenly distributed throughout, from the Art Deco wallpaper to the uplit library walls. Rooms nod to their setting—a classic Georgian building—but feature cool modern touches, like a golden geometric light that hangs from a coffered ceiling in one of the suites. Padded gray headboards offer a contemporary edge, and bursts of color come in the form of mustard and turquoise. Iveagh Garden isn't just all show and no substance—rather awesomely, it sources its energy from an underground river." - Nicola Brady

Iveagh Garden Hotel

"How did it strike you on arrival?Since this hotel opened in 2018, its chic and stylish lobby has attracted many an Instagrammer. The nifty design is evenly distributed throughout, from the Art Deco wallpaper to the well-lit library walls. Thankfully, though, Iveagh Garden isn't just all show and no substance—rather awesomely, it sources its energy from an underground river. Nice. What’s the crowd like?Part iPhone-toting millennials, part businesspeople, part Irish travelers. Harcourt Street is home to Dublin’s biggest nightclubs, so things can get a little rowdy at night. Got it. Now, the good stuff: Tell us about your room.Rooms nod to their setting—a classic Georgian building—but feature cool modern touches, like a golden geometric light that hangs from a coffered ceiling in one of the suites. Padded gray headboards offer a contemporary edge, and bursts of color come in the form of mustard and turquoise. Try to book a room overlooking the gardens; the soon-to-be-completed Presidential Suite will have those killer views. How about the little things; anything extra of note? The Irish love their tea, so you’ll see Barry’s tea bags in every room. Room service and food: Worth it?The small menu hits the mark with dishes such as a marinated peri-peri chicken burger and a 21-day aged sirloin. Prices are fairly reasonable (€15/$17 and €28.50/$33, respectively) with an €8 ($9) tray charge, so there's no need to feel guilty about eating in your robe. Anything stand out about other services and features? Whatever stuck with you.The Botanical Bar stocks an impressive collection of gins and London Essence tonics, and Elle's Bar & Bistro has a short, hearty menu of comfort food. Bottom line: worth it, and why? It’s the new kid on the block, but it’s slowly working its way onto the scene as a solid new addition." - Nicola Brady

For all the guest be very aware of the unprofessional customer service given over the phone . The us company i work with were planing to book 8 bedrooms prior christmas . As we were underinpressionion this was a quality respectable hotel . When i traveled from. Cork on business i phoned ahead to book a room as the reservationatio s was closed .and was given a rate for 2 nights . All was good until the receptionist was recomending i call reservations that was already closed y hours ago . And soldme the room and said she couldnt talk so iasked her could she call me back when she was free .never returned call .i then phone back and the guy that answered was very rude i understand was night staff but was so unhelpful on phone wanted to over charge already given a price of € 234 For bed & breakfast & dinner for 1 person as i was on business in dublin for 2 days . This guy wanted to inctease the price in the 1 hour period i was waiting for call back . As i know how the system works as i have stayed in many hotels while on business never came across this very poor custimer service and bad atitude .if you dont have respect for guest or customers wanting to stay it is not a good refelection of thr type of hotel . I give this 1 star as a result hiw they threat people .so the company i work with will cancell the rooms already booked before christmas 🎄 . Shame staff can not be nice like other hotels .and when i ask to speak to manager i was declined to do so .or would i be given the name of general manager even though i requested a call back next day as very disapointed how they threated me disrespectivelu without customers and recomendation is what what dfives the hospitality business . I advise have resrvations about staying at this low standard hotel and overpriced as no customer service is not provided over phone .very off puting to say the least .oviiously reception staff dont like there job or no training is privided to be nice to customers . I travelled alll the way from cork and ended up spending double the price but was well worth it to get quality service and a good atomosphere with welcome staff . That answef the phone and do t hang up on the guest .as i had aranged to stay thre .tonight . Advise lok at other hotel options in dublin 2 .

Exceptional Stay Thanks to Orla! We absolutely loved Iveagh Garden Hotel for our bonus day in Dublin. Orla at the front desk was so friendly and helpful. I’m sorry I’m just now posting this review! She went above and beyond and gave us the special treatment for our honeymoon trip. We were so impressed, we decided to stay at the hotel for our last evening. We dined at the wonderful restaurant after a stroll through Iveagh Garden. The bar and restaurant were so cool. Great vibe!! And the lobby was perfect to relax and visit. The doorman was very friendly and helpful as well. 10/10 recommend and if you’re lucky you’ll get to meet Orla.

We stayed overnigh here after attending a performance in the Unitarian Church in Stephens Green. Everything about our stay was faultless. Room was lovely with very comfortable beds, great shower and very clean. The staff were so friendly and cooperative. We had great cocktails in the bar and breakfast was super too. Good quality hot food, yoghurts, fruit and pastries.

Such a lovely hotel and the young gals at the front desk are delightful. Although we only had one night here, we would definitely come back and stay here. The public spaces were very nice. The room was well appointed and little details like multiple hooks in the bathroom were so appreciated. There could have been a little more light (from fixtures) in the room as it was a little hard to see what we were packing but all in all, a lovely place to stay. We will be back!

10/10 for Christmas High tea experience. Great food - so fresh and good quality of ingredients, wide range of hot/ cold/ cocktails/ champagne/ prosecco Magical Christmas atmosphere - It was very cozy and Christmasy with great vibes, no rushing or feeling a bit pushy commercialised hospitality type of place. Remarkable services from the table services to the end. The staffs were genuinely nice and went above and beyond for us especially Kevin who also gave us a little complimentary gift. I couldn’t recommend this Afternoon Tea enough and it is obvious that this hotel will be on the top of our list for the next city break!

Very comfortable stay! Location is great, and what really made the stay was the staff. The gentlemen at reception especially, and the porter, very welcoming and offered us complimentary breakfast too which was brilliant! The waiter at the restaurant was so friendly too, and breakfast was full of variety. As for the rooms, very comfortable and has the basic amenities you need. Comfortable beds and good space and spotless too. The only downside is the parking situation wasnt the most ideal, it would be handy to have closer parking and for less price and hassle instead of having to go every 24hrs to renew the ticket. But overall, great stay and will look forward to coming back again!

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly large as well. The staff were professional and welcoming, and the breakfast was amazing — delicious and truly fulfilling. A great experience overall, will come back again :)

This hotel is an absolute must-stay in Dublin! The location couldn’t be better — it’s right in the heart of the city and close to so many of Dublin’s best spots. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, but what really made my stay special was the staff. Everyone was so warm and welcoming, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience. A special shoutout to Daniel — he was incredibly kind and helpful throughout my stay. He helped me with my luggage when I arrived and, when I checked out, made sure I got a taxi to my next destination. He even waited with me and helped load my bags into the car. His thoughtfulness really stood out during my stay. Highly recommend booking this hotel!
