Ivory Safari Lodge & Khulu Bush Camp

We had an amazing stay at Khulu Bush camp where you can go on safaris to see the animals as well as sit and watch as they come to you. The food and staff were amazing and went above and beyond to create an incredible experience for us.

Spent 3 nights here in September 2024. Absolutely amazing. Great staff, good food, thrilling Safaris, beautiful spot. Stay in a tree house.. no Air-Con, but awesome room !

Our time at Ivory Lodge just wasnt long enough! A truly amazing setting with the watering hole attracting many animals all day long. We were welcomed by a very friendly team who looked after us throughout, the food was delicious and the accommodation was exceptional and looked over the watering hole. Our Safari experience was lead by Zeb who had an immense amount of knowledge and added to our truly amazing experience. Thankyou to everyone at Ivory Lodge i would recommend this lodge to anyone when visiting Hwange.

My wife and I spent part of our honeymoon in September at Ivory Lodge and it was fantastic. The location is glorious, with animals roaming right up to the fence around the camp - we had a herd of buffalo sleep by us one night. The rooms are very comfy and the staff are amazing; when they found out it was our honeymoon, on our last night they set up a special table for us by the pool for dinner, threw in a bottle of fizz and even made us a cake, it was very special. The chefs do wonders with the food and Zeb was the most brilliant guide. A big thumbs up!

A great place to relax and watch the animals come down to the water to drink. Advertised as being kid friendly is perhaps a little generous. The staff are wonderful with the littlies but there are lots of hazards such as a high balcony with no rail, an open swimming pool a rickety fence at the animal hide etc. There are also no high chairs for meals and no play area so it's hard work keeping the little ones entertained. A few adjustments could go a long way. On the whole though, a good experience with great food and friendly staff.

A real gem hidden in the bush. You will be beyond surprised when you arrive at Ivory Lodge. From the amazing thatch lounge that looks onto the watering hole to the friendly staff that give it its homely feel. My room overlooked elephant and buck at the watering hole on arrival. A short walk to the viewing deck took me the closest I have ever been to an elephant. Bring a camera as game is abundant. Sipping G&T’s with Khulu and the team a real highlight.Highly recommend.

What an amazing experience! Ivory lodge has comfortable cabins which let you see animals from your deck! They have fantastic guides for the game drives. They even have excellent food.|Staying right in among the animals is the way to go if you visit Hwange. This stop turned out the be the highlight of my trip.

The moment our party of 11 arrived we were pampered and made to feel we were welcomed guests to Cedric and Gay’s home. The staff was wonderful and Cedric and Gay became friends over meals and drinks fireside filled with wonderful conversations. The food was incredible and the view more so! Spent one afternoon poolside rather than go on a drive just to watch the abundance of wildlife that comes daily to the waterhole, not to mention the ele’s that drink from the pool! Our guides were so knowledgeable and managed to Wow! us multiple times each day. And the “tents” are probably the nicest accommodations I’ve ever stayed in!
