If can rate 0 star for the room I would. The floor and all the surface area is full of dust. The "private room" for couple has a creepy mirror and so dusty. The bed has a lot of trash and dust in it too. But the location and the staff is nice. The toilet and bathroom is good too. I hope they can thoroughly clean the room and remove the mirror inside the room as well.

it was a really nice stay, the location is convenient, it is 5 min walk from the station and some other tourist spots. The facilities are a bit old that the beds are making squeaky sounds and the air conditioner went from hot to cold and from cold to hot within seconds, hope they fix it.

It’s a Japanese style hostel. And has a really friendly and cozy vibe. It’s great for meeting other solo travellers. And the staff is super friendly too and helped me carry up my big fat suitcase. It doesn’t have an elevator- just keep that in mind It has a really nice sitting area where you can connect with other people..

There was an error on booking.com so i got charged twice. They could have solved the problem with just accepting my request for cancelation but they refused it. Very poor customer service, they just want your money. Very unethical. The beds are uncomfortable as the matress is super thin. You'll find a better place in kamakura.

I really like the location, it is near in Hase Station of Enoden line. They also let me to checkin early. I had a good stay. Very recommended for solo travellers

Staff and location are perfect. The house itself is also awesome and cozy to hang out in. There was a major management change pretty recently for the better, so a lot of the bad reviews from 6+ months ago are irrelevant now. However, I did have a couple issues: 1. Checkout is 10am and staff is only around between 9-10am. If you want to store your luggage and go sightseeing, the time window is very limited. If you’re late, you’re charged a steep late checkout fee. 2. The dorm bed mattresses are horrid, and the springs are noisy. These beds desperately need to be replaced. I’d rate 4.5 stars if this issue alone is fixed.

The staff is really kind and wonderful. The location is perfect. It's very close to both the beach and the train station. Unfortunately they have had issues with bed bugs in the dorm rooms. I planned to stay for the weekend but saw one crawling around near my head the first night. They took me seriously and immediately moved me to another room despite it being so late at night, which I am very grateful for. I fully believe they're doing what they can to resolve this and hope it can be cleared up soon. As for the rest of the guesthouse, there are a few dorms upstairs and a private room downstairs. There is a bar inside the guesthouse, along with a lounge area. There are a couple of bathrooms and showers, as well as a washer and dryer that are shared. One shower is very old and in bad condition with a door they ask you to be gentle with because of how fragile it is. They do a decent job of cleaning everything, but the entire building is old and there are signs of deterioration. I think it's cozy and an ok place to stay.

Rude and inflexible staff and policies, no sympathy when there was a booking mix up. Very happy to take my money and also tell me i can't stay there.
