A quick stop in Embu led to a pleasant surprise at Isaac Walton Inn, where the Bacon, Cheese & Egg burger delivered more than expected. Presentation-wise, it looked about 83% like the photo on the menu—close enough to spark confidence with the chef.
The double patty was slightly overcooked, but still held on to its flavor. What helped balance things out were the caramelized onions, which added a rich, slightly sweet depth that worked well with the savory bacon and melted cheese.
Overall, the burger was filling, enjoyable, and easy to finish. If they could start asking guests how they prefer their meat cooked, this could easily become a reliable go-to for a solid, no-fuss burger in Embu.
