Best entertainment spot in Embu! Magnificent gardens, cosy, nostalgic cottages, scrumptious food and excellent customer service! Took my mum for her birthday lunch, Jane was super kind and attentive and the chef even accomadated my last minute request for a surprise birthday cake. I highly recommend!

It’s a charming hotel but they can do so much better with modernising it.|The wait staff and the food is nice, breakfast buffet was great. We had enchiladas and quesadillas which were nice but had too much curry and spice.|But the rooms need more work|More modern decor could be better |We were a couple and paid for a double but all the amenities were single board which was disappointing eg we only had one towel between us. |The environment is amazing and the views and pool are great

FOOD REVIEW. We stopped here for lunch. It’s good but nothing special. Price is fair. The steak is fine. 3 star. I am not a fan of ugali. Their Mandazi (Kenyan beignet / donut) is excellent, 5 star. This is the best out of 3-4 places that I’ve had in Kenya. The caffe latte on ice had too much milk — very minimal coffee so 3 star. The staff is friendly. Overall, if the food is a reflection of their hotel rooms, then 4 star makes sense.

If you are the kind of person who dislikes loud places, this is the ideal spot to hang out with friends. They have delicious bone soup and friendly service.

It hurts me to have to give this hotel a 2-star. I have always loved this place (having been raised in Embu). However,this hotel is rapidly degenerating. So I returned to Kenya after being away for 5 years and I was looking forward to spending a few nights here. My three days there were awful. The only reason I stayed is because of the nostalgia I still had for the place. There; -no towels and and the room cleaner would at times bring me partially wet towels. They completely did not have face towels. I had to drive to the supermarket to buy my own towels. -The bathrooms water was unpredictable. Sometimes hot and at times cold. I usually do cold showers so I did not care ,but I would definitely not stay here with a family member (they love warm showers). -The room keys were just mediocre (a huge wood attached to a key). - The gym was not working. -The employees looked helpless whenever I asked for something (I tipped them out of pity). I honestly don’t believe it was worth my money. I had experienced half of this five years ago but this time it was worse. I hope they can do a proper come back!

A random stop in Embu while coming from Chogoria led me to this beautiful hidden gem. The place is stunning with great aesthetics, and the atmosphere immediately makes you feel relaxed. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. What started as a quick lunch stop turned into a relaxing afternoon spent enjoying the lovely gardens. The three-course meal of the day was lamb chops, and they were absolutely amazing — tender and full of flavor. The only thing they could improve on is the presentation of the meal, but overall it was a fantastic experience. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

I was very disappointed. Horrible accommodation. No water in the rooms and the water wasn't heating. I had a bad experience a few years back and thought they had improved but seems not. Wouldn't recommend.

A nice place to go for lunch or dinner. They have good food.
