It was a Saturday and it only served diners who had reserved tables in the afternoon. So, I made a reservation for dinner on the same day. I was so lucky that I could have dinner here. The dining experience was great! The service was excellent and the dishes, especially the eel, were scrumptious. I like this restaurant.

Ordered the Iki Set. The Sashimi was my favorite meal. The Unagi was very soft and tasty too. Went in 30 minutes early before opening, and there were no people. After I finished eating, I was shocked there was a queue outside. I think reservation is recommended, I just got lucky I was early. Staff was very nice!!

Unagi was delicious. No reservation needed on a Saturday at 11 am. Everyone very friendly. Will eat there again next time in Ueno Park.

Izuei Umekawa-tei offers a truly special and traditional Japanese dining experience. The restaurant specializes in unagi (eel), prepared with meticulous care and expertly grilled over charcoal. The unagi is tender, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. The restaurant's traditional Japanese ambiance, often with tatami mats and private dining rooms, enhances the dining experience. While Izuei Umekawa-tei is on the pricier side, the exceptional quality of the unagi, the beautiful presentation, and the authentic atmosphere make it a worthwhile splurge for a memorable Japanese culinary experience. It's a great place for a special occasion or for those seeking the best unagi in town.

It’s a little bit expensive. But we liked everything. Service and food quality were excellent.

Instead of the restaurant's regular offering of bento box meals, I had the course menu. While it was one of the priciest meals I have had during my stay in the area, it was the most delightful and memorable. The food, especially the kanpachi sashimi and unagi box were amazing. It was overall a wonderful dining experience, and I would highly recommend visiting on the way to/from the Narita Airport

Great place. I travelled alone and stopped at this place based on review in google. Once reach the place to sit, it was awesome - calm and peaceful- with little Japanese garden out of window. Those who travel alone will join the same room. Food is a bit expensive but good quality. Staffs are very polite.

Food quality was good and reasonably priced. Good location with zen environment but the customer service wasn’t that Japanese style.
