Izumi Sushi Plac Zbawiciela

It’s a cosy place for some 5-6 tables. So, in case you are more than 2 and it’s a Fr night, perhaps, it makes sense to book in advance. Food is tasty and always fresh. Service is attentive.

Nice place. Sushi was very tasty. All the ingredients like soy sauce, ginger and vasabi is good quality. We was waiting for order ~20 min.

Wonderful food and great selection. The warm scallops appetizer is amazing, and we got an amazing platter as well, stunningly beautiful as well as delicious. Not inexpensive!

The superb exterior decor and cleanliness attracted me to this most unexpected location for a sushi restaurant. The gracious greeting by the host made me anticipate a very pleasant ongoing experience. The interior decor is fresh and relaxing, very up-to-date. A wide array of menu choices made it difficult to choose but I settled for my faves: tempura veggies and udon soup with seafood tempura. The servings were large considering I was a solo customer. I ate well. The food was sizzling hot and oh so good. This was my first time in Warsaw from the USA. Thanks, Izumi.

Izumi is a hidden gem in one of Warsaw’s top locations — delicious sushi, a cozy atmosphere, and presented drinks!

Unfortunately, Izumi restaurants like this are quite overpriced and really do not even make sushi properly. Too much rice, too little fish, all to save money. I think there is a huge misconception of the quality of their food in Poland and it is based on ignorance of what sushi should be. The servers are not attentive and seem not to care. They don't even say hello and we had to seat ourselves. The nigiri 🍣 looked like what we affectionately call "bullets" -- thin fish, hard rice. The rolls are small for the price they charge.

The whole experience here was very much so-so. The staff were friendly, but not too competent. The edamame were served hot, but also way overcooked (or frozen before cooking - the result was rather mushy either way). The nigiri sushi featured good quality fish, but the rice didn't taste freshly cooked. The shogayaki wasn't authentic tasting at all, but still pretty tasty (and came with much better rice than the sushi). The iced green tea was decorated nicely (and came with a paper straw), but wasn't made in house. The sake was quite average, in a good way (makes sense to have a balanced sake, if you only have one kind).

I ordered takeout. I can't say it's bad, but I can't compliment it either. The price is average for the city

It was not crowded. Sushi are good, served with miso soup. Quick service, nice atmosphere.

Nice service. Terribly expensive - maybe because of the hipsterish area? The sushi I tried were rather overloaded with strong sauces, but that might be our fault because we went for fusion / non/traditional options (particularly the fusion sashimi). Now I know we probably are traditionalists. In any case it was difficult to feel the taste of the fish and rice. The tempura was pretty good, but hard to say if worth the price. The onigiri was very good. We ordered a couple to take away, and it was packed in a plastic box already wrapped in the nori, which in my opinion is a mistake since if you don't eat it quickly it gets soggy - and we prefer it crunchy. (Also they packed it with chopsticks and soya sauce, which felt absurd to me) We might go back only for the onigiri. Still, they only had 2 kinds (chicken and salmon), so probably will try some other places first.

Really good lunch here my last day in Warsaw. Came in with 4 other coworkers and we were seated and orders taken care of promptly. A nice selection of lunch items from sushi combos to bento box combos. I went with the tempura box which came with shrimp/veggie tempura and rice, kimchi, tuna and salmon sashimi and a tuna maki roll. Fish was wonderful, I'm always a little weary of trying new sushi places but had nothing to worry about here. Prices were pretty reasonable too and you got a lot of food for the money.
